Our tour guide John was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Salem and provided us with so much information I don’t think we would have learned anywhere else on our trip. Lots of walking as expected over uneven surfaces and wet leaves in the dark. Tripping hazard. Guide advised everyone of this. Be cautious in choosing this tour if you have any mobility concerns. Several stops with apparition potential. Lots of cool background and stories.

Unfortunately I missed my tour because I overcompensate for walking over cobblestone streets by looking down and walking head first into a street sign giving myself a major headache less then 3 hours before my tour time. However they did reach out to see if we were going to make the tour or if we needed to reschedule but we were pretty booked up the next day and leaving the day after. I really appreciated the tour company reaching out to offer this to me.

Holly was the tour guide of about 30 people total which was split from a much larger group from Burying Point. She carried no mic and speaker and she had barely enough volume for me to hear her when I was standing as close as I could get to her. After just over 30 minutes ten people dropped off. When Holly noticed the significantly smaller crowd she looked concerned and then said “they’ll catch up”. Some of the facts she was giving seemed to be a bit off based on the other tours and museum experiences we had prior to the walking tour. It was definitely uncomfortably bad. Being in the same alleyway with two other tour groups both led by guides with microphones and hand held speakers competing with Holly made it all the more apparent how bad our tour was. Holly did mention this was only her third tour, which made me wonder what the qualifications are to become a guide. Where I live, the local cemetery has flashlight tours given by actual history buffs who have to know their stuff. Holly should be studying and recording herself so she is more aware of what we are all hearing.

Our tour was disappointing. While our tour guide Kelly, is very enthusiastic, some seasoning might help her presentations. Her facts were a bit skewed and not as complete as we had hoped. Language became an issue as we listened repeatedly to profanity being used. While we appreciated her enthusiasm for the subject, her delivery needs some pointers.

The tour would have been better if our tour guide Christine wasn't intoxicated. She was hiccuping, loosing her train of thought, slurring her speech and stumbling all over the place. I am a nurse practitioner and I can identify someone who is intoxicated quickly, but almost our entire group was aware too as multiple people pointed it out. It's embarrassing for your company quite frankly. The tour stops were good, and I learned some new stories from what I could comprehend from her, but I would not encourage anyone to consider booking this tour. Thankfully we had a similar tour booked for the following night and had a much better experience there.

What a scam of a tour company. Horrible tour. We didn’t stop at any of the places on the list. The tour was at least 40 people and the description said no more than 9 people. The tour says the cemetery admission is included. The tour guide said it was closed because of Columbus Day weekend. Another lie bc we saw tour groups enter the cemetery all weekend. They ruined our last night in Salem.
