Visit the Old Burying Point cemetery to see the tombstone of trial judge John Hathorne, and learn about the slave Tituba, who played a key role in the witch hysteria and was herself accused of voodoo practices. Keep an eye out for specters at the original Witch Dungeon, and get help examining your own photos for evidence of paranormal activity such as orbs, ectoplasm, and apparitions. Very cool tour! You’re taken to all the popular spots in Salem (where the dungeon was, Giles Corey’s place of death, Town Hall, etc etc.) and the guide was very entertaining and fun to listen to. Definitely recommend, especially if you want to learn about Salem’s history and the witch trials.

This tour was exceptional. The tour guide owner of the company actually gives the tour and not like so many tours who use the tour "guide of the day". He is extremely knowledgable and his presentation is excellent. Lots of very interesting sites which included historical and factual information on Voodoo, Vampires, and Witches. I have hearing issues but not with this tour. His delivery projected his voice and made him very easy to hear.

There are so many tours to choose from, it's a little overwhelming... we did some research for our family trip and decided on this one. So glad we did! Mike was fantastic and knowledgeable and you can tell he really enjoys informing people of Salem's history. Wear comfortable shoes and take lots of photos. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Vitka absolutely made this tour. You can tell right away he isn’t just reading from a script. As a Salem local, historian, and paranormal investigator, he knows the city inside and out, and his passion for the subject comes through in every story.
I really liked that he didn’t just stick to the usual witch trial history. He mixed in the paranormal, local legends, vampire lore, and even talked about modern ghost hunting techniques and his own experiences investigating around New England. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, he makes it interesting without trying to force anything on you.
The stories about Salem’s darker history and the lesser-known locations were some of my favorite parts. He also has a great sense of humor, so the tour never feels dry or like a history lecture.
If you’re trying to decide which tour to take in Salem, I’d have no problem recommending this one. It was informative, entertaining, and one of the highlights of our trip.

Dr. Vitka is an incredible story teller and speaker! We enjoyed this tour 3 years ago on our first trip to Salem. We decided to book a different tour for this trip, just to have a different experience. That other tour was so disappointing, we booked with Dr. Vitka for the following night since we knew how great it was a few years ago. We were so glad we decided to splurge for this second tour! Highly recommend to anyone looking to hear the true history of Salem, woven in with some spooky stories and legends along the way.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for good information about the history of Salem with some fun stories about vamps and more! I caught up with our guide the day after the tour showing him what my partner and I believe to be some ghost evidence as well! So if they decide it is a spirit we caught on camera at the Hawthorne house in the window, there’s a possibility you could see the photo if you book!
