I genuinely believe the tour guide you have makes or breaks a tour so I’m not putting 1 star (would love to try again with a different guide). Our tour guide Edward spoke extremely fast and not loud enough for the group to understand half of what he was saying. He walked very quickly and multiple times those in the group had to tell him to wait because he was missing people. He also confused information and directly told my partner Nathaniel Hawthorne didn’t write the Scarlet Letter??? Other stories seemed combined or misinformed compared to other tour information/previous knowledge. Hopefully this was a bad day for him, but posting this in case this is his norm. Wishing we had another day to do this tour with someone else. We simply didn’t finish and left halfway through because we could not understand half of the stories due to his voice volume. Also of note if you are using Apple Maps, the location of the statue is on the median of the boulevard. 20
Hawthorne is not in between buildings. Disappointed at the ending of our day.

This was a very fun tour, loved the atmosphere since it was at night. Loved the vampire fangs that our tour guide Ed had, loved that touch. Favorite part was the cursed items and the place they were held. Overall such a great tour đź‘Ť

Our “vampire” Edward, started the tour telling us he walked fast, that was an understatement as we were practically sprinting to keep up with him. He also insisted on having everyone so close that I could smell the person next to me shampoo. It made the experience very uncomfortable.
When it came to the actual tour we were very disappointed because it was more like a résumé of what he did at each of the shops when he was working there or how he knew someone who worked there. The entire tour was a collection of his random personal experiences while he was working as a special effects haunted house guy. He even told us that Gile’s Cory was 71 years old when in fact he was 81. His actual knowledge about historical events in Salem was extremely limited. It also was not scary at all. The haunted artifacts are at the end are five items in his business. It was a total waste of time and money.

We had an amazing time on this tour - it was super interesting and we learned a lot (and also heard some awesome ghost stories!). We had so much fun and really enjoyed ourselves, especially seeing the spooky objects! I highly recommend this tour to everyone! (Also, I don't think that 1 star review below is very fair and should be disregarded as they didn't even go on the tour due to being late?!)

We loved this tour!!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and he was very informative. He showed us so many different spots around the area and told us the stories about each spot and then at the end took us to see some haunted pieces. I would definitely recommend this!!!

So sorry you missed us. As it states on Viator and on our website we can't hold up a group for guests who are late, it's not fair to everyone else, not to mention it could delay the next tour as well. If you call we can rendevous with the tour in progress. I checked and there were no calls. I would love to give you folks a tour at another time. Our tour guide Ed was wonderful and make the stories come to life, bring your walking shoes though because you walk all over town and its a bit fast pace to make sure you get to all of the destinations! Amazing stories and sights!
