If you are staying in Boston and are traveling to Salem for this tour, make sure you select a tour that will take you inside the sights, otherwise, it feels like a waste and something you can do on your own. Also, if you go during the winter, know that by 4pm it's already dark outside, and know the train schedule going back to Boston. Salem is a cute little town, good for an afternoon trip from Boston.

The guide basically ran, I would not call it a walking tour and only spoke to one little girl and ignored the rest of the tour. She also skipped two main spots blaming crowds.

Took a short walk around Salem and got to hear a mix of scary stories and history- more on the scary side is what the group picked! Learned many new things about Salem. Our tour guide had a heavy Boston accent that was engaging to listen to- he was great! I recommend doing a tour on a trip to Salem because you will learn something you didn’t know and you get to see more than just shops and restaurants.

Family friendly tour. Great information on the history of Salem. Saw some great historical landmarks. Be prepared to walk for an hour and a half for the entirety of the tour.

The young man was very nice, but not knowledgeable at all when asked a question. His spill was very rehearsed. We had a hard time keeping up with his walking pace, as did the other couple on the tour. We were done in 55 minutes.

The tour guide was clearly unprepared. She wasn’t wearing a jacket and was freezing on the tour. She was more concerned with sheltering herself from the wind than from taking us to actual locations. She frequently had to check her binder for information, dates, names, etc. When asked question she was unable to answer most.

John was so nice and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed having him. He knows how to draw in the crowd and make funny jokes when necessary. He truly felt like a friend, not a tour guide. We would do this a million times over!

The tour wasn't as expected. According to the itinerary we had free admission to the sites but at our first stop to the witch house I was very disappointed to learn that we couldn't go inside. I booked this tour primarily for the admission to the house. We came all way from NY and waited from 1030am for this tour only to be disappointed. Additionally, Judy the tour guide was very sweet but very hard to hear! Please provide her a microphone!

I am sorry you did not receive the experience you were hoping for! All of our tours are outdoor walking tours, and we are unable to go inside the buildings. This is because most of the structures are privately owned or state-owned. We currently cannot provide the guides in Salem with microphones due to a noise ordinance put in place by the city. We didn’t even make the tour! We couldn’t locate 9 brown St. we walked Brown Street for 30 minutes, even had officers trying to find it. No tickets or information was texted to us before the tour.

Judy was extremely difficult to hear. Her voice was quiet and we stopped at some of the loudest locations in town. The combination made this tour a waste of time. She should consider using a microphone. Unfortunately, many people, including myself, did not complete the tour because we were not getting anything out of it.

Our tour guide was absolutely lovely, but we could not hear most of what she was saying. The haunted happenings around the village and crowds were SO LOUD, and our tour guide did not have a microphone.

The tour guide was clearly inexperienced and prone to telling unrelated personal stories. The information presented about the Witch Trials was disjointed and lacked a clear narrative about the events. The guide also misstated dates that were visible on a sign at the beginning of the tour which did not inspire confidence. We left 50 minutes into the experience.
