Tour was okay, we booked through Viator with a guide through “Show me Italy” but whenever we got through the forum and hill, and finally made it to the Colosseum, the workers wouldn’t let us or our group and guide in! Said our tickets were INVALID. So, we weren’t going to miss one of the main reasons we came here, so we had to book this tour as it was the only one available before we left Italy in two days. The audio app isn’t good, it’s supposed to track your location and tell you what spots to go to and it just wasn’t accurate.. We had tickets booked to go through the gladiator doors with the booking that ultimately wouldn’t let us in. It would’ve been a top notch experience had we gotten an actual guide, but that didn’t happen unfortunately .

The tour is a scam do not book with them. Choose another platform. We booked the tour for months and when we got to thw site we learned that it was cancelled a hour before. Viator did nothing choose another site

We ouldnot find our tour guide at the meeting location on the directions we were give. We arrived at 1030 for our 1100 tour. We asked several tour guides in the same place and no one could help us.

Person we were supposed to meet was not in the meeting place. Walked around for an hour looking for someone. Finally called via Tore and found out they could resubmit us. The passes to get in. Got those, but never got audio so didn’t know what anything was about. Via Tore does not want to refund any of our money. Was a dream to go visit the Colosseum and couldn’t hear anything about it.

Entry time to the colosseum was changed a few hours before the time booked, and the new time had no host and minimal instructions about how to get in. We also missed another tour scheduled (and paid for) afterwards because of the delay.
Recommend going to the Colisseum with a guided tour instead.

I’d give this zero dollars if possible. WAYYY OVERPRICED. It’s 20 euros more than the same ticket everyone else gets and all you get is some random guy texts you a link to a free app anyone can download. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS CRAP.

Guests are clearly informed that the booking time is the entry time, and we ask everyone to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure smooth access with the host.
In your case, arriving at the exact entry time meant the group had already entered. As a courtesy, we sent you all materials by phone so you could still join.

I was hesitant because I booked these tickets for my family of 6 at the last minute BUT everything worked out! They were very communicative about the meeting spot- even sent a picture of where she was standing. Take a picture of the Forum map, as it was helpful when we crossed to the Forum. Our guide, Giovanni was KNOWLEDGEABLE & PERSONABLE! We learned so much & he guided us through deftly. There’s no need to be upset/ surprised that the guided portion is only for the Colosseum. The tour is exactly as it is described. My only suggestion is for the tour meeting spot person to have a flag or distinctive shirt to make locating them more easily, as the area is quite crowded. Book this tour- you will not be disappointed.

When we got to there at our assigned time of 8:30, the time had been changed to 10. Since we had the pantheon booked for after this excursion, we had to rush through palatine hill and the Roman forum in less than an hour since it did not open till 9. Also, no audio was provided for us as it said and they didn’t provide us with a map as they said they usually do. The sites were outstanding, but our guide simply gave us our time, a brief history and left us by entry to palentine hill. Bit disappointing. Felt we simply got a ticket and were left to navigate ourselves.

We weren't able to attend the tour as our bus from the cruise port did not arrive in Rome to give us enough time to check-in at the hotel and then get to the meeting location.
The next time I plan a tour on the arrival day of a cruise, I will plan it for times after the check-in time at the hotel, so that there is plenty of time for the transition.

Gave you an app to listen to but no tour guide. Two of the three participants could have entered for free due to age and disability. Not worth $125 to “skip a line”. Would not recommend.

Great experience and walk around the site waked a fair bit in all but there was a couple of well positioned vending machines at the Roman fort so was good to take a seat for 5 and enjoy the gardens etc when it rained a bit 😊

We were given lots of information, including where to find a taxi after we were finished! This was a great way to see the colosseum, forum, and Palantine Hill with no waiting and lots of freedom to do it at our own pace, with audio guide that was easy to use.

This tour was exactly what I was looking for!
If you enjoy exploring at your own pace without a guide but still want valuable insights, this is the perfect choice. The host was incredibly helpful, providing useful tips and detailed explanations that made my visit much smoother and more enjoyable.
Skipping the long lines was a huge plus, and having all the necessary information beforehand allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience. Highly recommended for those who love discovering history on their own terms

I didn’t catch the ladies name who met us at the meeting point. She was punctual and informative. She issued our tickets to my phone explained where to go, gave recommendations, advised I had 24 hours to use the ticket to the forum. She also called us as we were close by to check where we were. We walked and it took us about 30mins. I guess she didn’t want us to loose our time slot. She also said we could contact her with any questions. Going through was quick, there was no wait. Security was quick. We went at 9am. It was me and my two young boys under 10 traveling. This was ideal for us going at our own pace without a guide. You really need the whole day for this tour. There’s lots to see. Pack a picnic and eat at Palatine Hill.

I got the full access arena tickets, arena definitely worth seeing and full access gets you into all the museums within palentine hill. The tickets means no queue and are given a time for the collesseum. When meeting the guide to get tickets she was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave great advice.

I was under the impression that a host meant someone who would explain during the tour. This was not clear. We also did not need to show our ID at any time in the colosseum, which was written in the fine print, my bad for not noting, but we were not going to be allowed to tour. We had to find a text of this in a hurry, but we were never asked for it at any time. The host told us it was ALWAYS mandatory, yet this is the only tour we had been asked for it.

Met the guide at the said place, very professional, provided all the relevant instructions. Explained multiple times patiently and accompanied us to enterence of collosseum. Audio guide was good and relevant. If you are looking for an experience of colossesum and surrounding at your own pace. definitely try this. worth the money.

When I booked the tour it has said it was the tour with access to the arena floor (guided), however once getting to the Colosseum, we found out it wasn't. We meet the guide outside she gave us a link to access the self-guided tour and walked us to the group gate and we went inside. The audio guide was good; however exploring Palatine Hill and the Forum was the highlight of the day.
