The best way to see this "must see" in Rome

Andreas was an exceptional guide, and having him to ourselves early in the morning proved to be an even greater benefit than we'd expected. Gracious and deeply insightful, our walk through these ancient places with his perspective and deep knowledge made it a highlight of our time in Rome. If you can spend the extra dollars to do it this way, SO worth it.

We took this tour on Sunday, July 9th. It was a hot and muggy day. Maria Teresa Franco was our tour guide. She was super friendly, professional and objective. She had an enlightening outlook of Rome. She customized the trip to meet our needs and was full of historical information. Our family of four - my husband, our two teenagers and myself - enjoyed Maria Teresa's insights about the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hills. By taking this tour, we skipped the long lines, avoided the scorching summer heat and on top of everything, we learned history from a TOP expert! We did not hear any complains from our teenagers in fact, they were interested on the tour. In addition, Maria Teresa gave us tips about places to eat - where the Romans go. It was worth taking the tour. Wonderful tour! Thank you Maria Teresa!!!

The tour guide managed to finish the tour in 1.5 hrs instead of 3 hours. The guide also did not provide any information, he only read off of what was written on the plaques next to the exhibits, after an hour and a half the guide recommended to us to walk around by our self. Waste of money.

This was not a well organized tour...

This was not a well organized tour. It was outsourced to a third party who did not fulfill the terms of the tour. We did not have headsets, we did not have a proper skip the line entrance and instead had to sneak through the lines. We also did not do the Palantine Hill part of the tour because the guide felt we were too tired but it was clear that she did not want to / did not have the time to continue. A waste of money.

We enjoyed this tour of this iconic building in Rome. Our tour guide was knowledgable and considerate of our wishes. He focused on the sites that we wanted to see and incorporated the essential elements of the tour. We actually had 2 other couples who asked if they could join our tour because they overheard his explanations and descriptions.
