So disorganized, ticket did not include a good enough description of what to do/look out for, on what it says is included it said not tour or guide and I get there and we do have an audio guide/ bit I did not have head phones. There is no reason as to why it needs to be as chaotic as it is.

Hi Kelly H, Please not that you have visited one of the worlds ancient monument during high season and in addition during the Jubilee Celebrations in Rome, how can you expect easy walk through without crowd. We have provided all the information required to visit the Colosseum and other attraction, sorry we cannot provide whole movie along with the tickets. As you said it would be like watching everything online, then why to visit a place when you have everything online. You have booked for self-guided tour, which means you opted to explore yourself.

It was incredible to see the Roman Colosseum, explore the arena floor, and my favorite the Palatine Hill, where you can take in breathtaking 360° views of the entire area. The photo opportunities are amazing! I do wish our package had included access to the underground arena, but overall, it was an unforgettable experience.

One of the reasons we chose this is because of the special "Gladiator Gate" entrance with the Arena Floor Access add-on. When we got there, it was not at all clear where this gate was. We followed the crowds of people and found what seemed to be the main entrance. I asked one of the ticket takers where the "gladiator gate" was and she practically laughed at me. She said there was no such thing and it was a name given by the ticket seller. She said that we were in the correct line (the main one). As it was November, the lines weren't super long, but we still waited in line for about 20 minutes. When we finally got to the area to access the arena floor, we saw an entrance gate right there with no line. It appeared to be the gate we should/could have used. While 20 minutes might not seem like a lot, every minute counts when you only have 4 hours in the city - including time to get to and from the train station. They really should provide some kind of directions on where to go upon arriving at the Colosseum. Overall, the tickets served their purpose and, of course, we thoroughly enjoyed both the Colosseum and wandering (albeit quickly!) about the Forum and Palatine Hill. It's the perfect solution if, like us, you've come in on a cruise ship and don't have time to comfortably schedule an excursion (other than one from the cruise line that tend to be very expensive.)

Living History of the Romans

Incredible to know this monument, and the living history of the Romans. The interesting is the complement to the Coliseum which is the Palatino and Roman Forum, as they are spectacular.
