What To Expect

Pick up your vintage Fiat 500 at the convenient meeting point in the historic Trastevere district of Rome, where you’ll have a few minutes to get familiar with this classic car and gather a few tips about the top Roman sights accessible on four wheels.

Then set off to explore at your own pace, zipping through the streets of the historic center to drive by A-list attractions from the Colosseum to the Vatican. Pull over to snap photos of the blockbusters (with your cheery Fiat 500 in the foreground) and create your own itinerary for a fully independent driving tour through Rome.

After covering the headliners in the city, set off for a jaunt further afield to take in the view from scenic overlooks like the Janiculum Hill or even explore the surrounding Castelli Romani countryside as far as Frascati—the car is yours for 24 hours, so you have plenty of time to explore.

We had an amazing time hiring this car. Tiziano took us through how to start the car, the ZTL zones to avoid and what times to avoid them. We had a small issue with the window not winding up but we understood the age of the car would come with a few minor issues, we was reassured that we wouldn’t be charged for the problem and Tiziano even offered to fix it if we came back and met him. Would highly recommend hiring this car again, it drives like nothing else! We thoroughly enjoyed driving around Rome in this, even at night time. Thanks again!

We had an amazing time with the cute Fiat. It ran well; had no issues at all. The owner was nice! Gave us a test drive before taking off. I highly recommend renting it.

Renting this classical car was definitely the highlight of our trip to Rome! We had a lot of fun cruising the streets with this cute little automobile, driving by the Colosseum and out onto the Via Appia Antica leaving the usual crowded inner city tourist spots behind us. The bright yellow car is noticed immediatly and a lot of people took fotos and waved at us. The ignition cable broke when we wanted to leave, but Francesco took care of it right away and one hour later we were on the way. You can keep the car for 24 hours, but it is recommended to park it in a public garage over night. Feeling comfortable with a gear shift and the lively Roman traffic is necessary. I can definitely recommend this experience and would do it again any time!

It was a very classical feeling we love it! The car was in a normal condition and easy to drive it. If you rent it will you get a lot of photos from unknown people.

Be warned. Not what you would expect.

I was very disappointed in this tour/activity. I waited an hour n half for the car to show up and then was given a old dirty car. Original I’ll give you that! I signed the paperwork and drive it away only to turn around and drive it right back. I would not recommend anyone driving this old car in Rome. Oh and you can’t drive it to see any of the sites you want because of traffic rules. So what’s the point. No refund. Just a waist of time and money.

Dear Darin, maybe you expected to drive a modern Fiat 500 and not a Classic car, the Original Fiat 500, pretty old, it's true, she's born in 1969, but clean and cute! of course is not possible by car arriving in the Pantheon, or into the Trevi fountain, but you would be anyway able to reach the thousands of charming spots that a City like Rome can offer to the visitors. Of course there was no any reason for accepting your request of refund!

Amazing day. Very hot without aircon, but the car was really iconic. Lots of people taking snaps as you drive through the city. Man at the rental gave itinerary suggestions which were good

Je suis vraiment désolée que vous avez pas aimez, mais je ne comprend pas comment c'est possible que vous l'avez trouvez "terriblement" sale... On aime nous aussi les voiture anciens, donc si vous avez des photo merci de me les envoyer s'il vous plait pour verifier. On la lue tous les jours et dès qu'il rentre on la nettoye à l'interieur. Même à l'extérieur, mais malheureusement tous les jours il pleut et pleut du sable. Elle fait des control tecniques constantement et on fait tout le possible pour offrir la meilleur experience. Reçevoir un commentaire d'1 etoille est très dur pour nous, il va nous frapper énormémen donc je veux juste etre sur que la raison d'1 etoille soit justifié. Merci

L'idea è ottima, consiglio sicuramente l'esperienza. La 500 gialla è deliziosa, tenuta benissimo, un gioiellino. In giro per Roma è unica! I gestori dell'attività sono molto cortesi e disponibili. Purtroppo nel nostro caso, dopo appena due ore dall'inizio del noleggio, l'auto si è spenta e non è più ripartita. Avevamo programmato un itinerario e ci è saltata l'intera giornata. Non è stato facile contattare i gestori dell'attività per ricevere assistenza. Ma alla fine, dopo numerose chiamate a tre diversi numeri, hanno mandato un signore gentilissimo e molto simpatico che ha tentato di capire il guasto, ma alla fine ha potuto soltanto riprendersi le chiavi dell'auto e congedarci. Ci hanno subito accordato il rimborso, da richiedere tramite Viator. Ci riproveremo.
