  • ⚠️ In order to enter the holy doors at San Giovanni Laterano, St. Paul and Santa Maria maggiore, travelers must book access through the iubilaeum25 app. A registration and personal IDs will be required. It is the Vatican official app, available for both Apple and Android devices. Access to those churches is not possible without a reservation. Please book times as follows: St Paul outside the walls at 9:00am , San Giovanni Laterano at 10:45 and Santa Maria Maggiore at 12:00am . For the Holy stairs you don’t need a reservation, the Holy Stairs are only accessible if you walk on your knees. There can be a line.

Our private tour with Max was worth every penny! He customized this tour for us. I am mobility challenged and he took every step to help me. He knew his Roman history and was very personable. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. Max really went the extra mile (or should I say kilometer). If I could I would give it 10 stars!!

The ultimate Catholic tour of Rome.

Our driver, Max provided us with a tour of the five basilicas which we will never forget. This is definitely the tour Catholics will want to take for the jubilee year and any one wanting a spiritual experience in Rome. Our driver, Max, was flexible, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He spoke excellent English and he even stopped at a couple of extra places we would not have known about which was a nice surprise. This definitely was the highlight of our trip to Rome.

It was a good taxi service. It would have been good to have a guide even if it was between the churches. Our guide did not speak English well and we just expected a little bit more. Nor any language besides Italian. If you follow the itinerary with an UBER it may have been cheaper than 564.89 euros and y oh could have the flexibility to take a church guided overview.

Dear Rita, I am very sorry to read you did not fully enjoy the tour. However, the driver lived for 12 years in the UK, and has been giving tours in english for 20 years, I personally communicate with him in english. He told me you were very interested in the history of St.Paul, so he also explained about the three fountains, meaning there was information given, considering that the tour you have booked is clearly with a driver only, there is no tour guide involved, and it is only for english speaking customers, while I seem to understand spanish was your preferred language. A tour with driver and guide is of course available, in this way the guide can go inside the churches with clients, but price is almost twice what you have paid, and an uber for 5 hours in Rome in october is no les than 130 euros per hour. Again, I feel very sorry that the tour wasn’t what you expected, we hope to meet you again in the future as now we know what type of tour you would enjoy more. Have a great day, Max
