Rude driver find another tour.

Rolando is a nice man however he is an extremely crazy driver. No drinks or food in his van for a 12 hour trip. If he hears any plastic in the backseat he will quickly give you a dirty look. Pompeii tickets are not included in this trip. We completed many tours during our stay in Rome and a passionate and energetic driver makes it an awesome experience. Rolando is not that. He will only get you from point A to B. We were passing the volcano and he didn’t even tell us. I do not recommend, private tour sounds nice but you’re better off going with another company/ group. Amazing destinations and we enjoyed ourselves however it would’ve been more enjoyable with a nicer and more enthusiastic driver.

hello, we actually consider very rude to eat biscuits , nuts and to cut your nails in the car which bytheway is a Mercedes latest model that costed 75.000 euro...if you are not educated enough to undurstand that you are not our type of clients , we can t have that in our cars...the drive to Pompei was 2 hours and a half , you could have eat there whatever you wanted, i really don t undurstand why you have to make a mess in the car... if you ask around any driver would say no to food in the car... than the fact that the day before we were in another tour for 12 hours , Pisa and Firenze , if i was so bad as a driver , how come you went the second day with me???? just because i asked you nicely not to eat in the car i am not good anymore? out of 12 hours drive you were outside the car around 5 hours in different moments , we stopped in Pompei , Sorrento, Positano , you could have eat your biscuits and nuts there,don t you think???

Everything was great! Our first time in Europe and Rolando made this day tour to Pompeii and Amalfi coast amazing. Rolando picked us up at our apt rental on time. He was friendly and professional. He takes super pride of his Mercedes van for which it is super clean and comfortable. He also provides Wifi. The ride to Pompeii was a little over 2 hours, he made it fun, offered us water and included a few stops (Amalfi coast) to take our family pictures. I need to mention he is a great driver, felt safe. Once we reached Pompei, he provided me with a pick up location. My family and I took way too long in Pompeii. He reached out to me via text (WhatsApp) if we were okay. I informed him we were running behind and will be out ~20 mins. He said ok. Pompei has been a lifelong dream of my son and I so we were like kids in a candy store. Please plan accordingly as normal tours allow for 1-2 hours and we were in there for over 3 hours and still missed a few things. We also still needed to visit Sorento and Positano and return back to Rome. Rolado was in his minivan waiting for us near the exit. He was kind and was concerned that something had happened to us (since he does not go inside the archeological site). I mentioned that this was just one of the most memorable experiences of our lives and did not have a clue how big the site was. I also mentioned if it was okay not to visit Sorento and just go to Positano (since we took so long in Pompei) he asked if I was sure and said we still drive by it. I really wanted to visit Positano. Once at Positano, we were dropped of, given a pin location for pick up and walked our way down (a lot of walking). We enjoyed about 2 hours in Positano. Take into consideration there is a lot of stair climbing and walking uphill to reach pick up point due to heavy traffic and street closures. It took over 3 hours to get back to Rome, On the ride back home, My family and I fell asleep for about 1 hour. Once awake, we had great conversations, we laughed and talked about family and life overall. Rolando is not just a driver, he cares and values his job, his family and clients. We felt like family. Once he dropped us of at our apartment doorsteps we had a hard time saying goodbye. I wished I would have known and would have booked Rolando for the entirety of my trip to Rome. When I return back to Rome, I will definitely use him again. I highly recommend Rolando's Airport transfer Day tours. You will not regret it.
