We should be calling Philly the City of Sisterly (not just Brotherly) Love, after learning about so many fascinating women. Joey was an exceptionally smart, warm, and kind tour guide. We walked for 1 hour 45 minutes around flat terrain (beware of old cobblestones though if that's an issue for you) while Joey kept us fascinated. I highly recommend this tour with a more unique twist, often overlooked, on history.

What a wonderful tour! I grew up in Philly and had NO idea about most of the cool amazing women Joey discussed. Easy walk, super interesting, and well worth the time. Looking forward to taking another tour with Beyond the Bell next time we are in town.

The tour was terrific. Our guide Joey was personable, very much knew the history and gave a real persective of the what people, men and women, were thinking and doing at the time of the country’s birth and after. It felt more like a great conversation instead of a lecture because our guide listened and genuinely liked responding to our reactions and questions. We came away with great sense of the city’s personality today. We will highly recommend this tour to others.

Accompanied visiting family to Philadelphia on the tour, and completely loved it. I learned a lot about the city I live in, and the many untold stories of our women's history. We had a toddler on the tour with us, and Joey was patient with our group and her needs. Loved the experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our bad ass women’s tour of old city Philadelphia. It was obvious our guide was passionate about the subject. It was also obvious that she had a framework for her tour but would go off script to give us a great tidbit of information as well. From the very first moment she made us feel relaxed, assuring us that we could stop at any time if we needed a quick break, to grab a cup of coffee or to simply sit in the sun and chat about one of the women. I encourage anyone to take this trip, not just women.

Rebecca is a brilliant guide and story teller. We thoroughly enjoyed her commentary and appreciated the visual aids she used to help tell the story of these nearly forgotten women who changed to course of human history. You could tell immediately that she well prepared and her stories were the product of diligent research and discovery. This is one of Philadelphia's finest tours and definitely one you shouldn't miss.
