Start with a beginner bow and a bucket of arrows to shoot from any distance you choose, with guidance on the proper form to aim and shoot. When you are ready, you can move up to a more advanced bow and heavier arrows.

The Archery Experience takes place on a private 2 acre lot near the Coyote Dry Lake Bed which is about a 10 min drive from the small town of Joshua Tree. The location is close to the Joshua Tree Campgrounds. Once booked we will schedule a time and give you the address and directions.

I had an amazing experience during my hour-long archery session! Frank, the owner, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and he kindly let us start right away, allowing us to maximize our time before heading to the next activity on our itinerary.
The session was so much fun! Everyone got a bullseye at least once, and as we improved, we even moved back 10 feet for an extra challenge. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves, and I can't recommend this experience enough! If you're looking for a great time, definitely give it a try!

Directions are a little confusing (not all gates open) but once we figured it out we had a lot of fun doing something different on vacation.

My friends and I had a great time at archery! The instructor, Frank, was super chill and fun to learn from. Everything was all set up for us when we arrived, and we had a good time learning to shoot and playing bullseye! One thing to note though is the heat- there was a heat wave when we came out, so make sure to bring plenty of water and a hat!

Had a lot of fun! Safety equipment is provided and everything was explained so well, he even let us know of a game we could play to keep us entertained!

I would suggest having some kind of tarp as well for protection from the sun while we are taking a break or waiting. It was definitely hot when we visited and there’s no shade at all. I would also add new arrows as there were several that were defective or the tips and feathers were off.

He was patient and encouraging. Always gave us praise for doing good. The area was nice and private along with a nice view of the desert. I would do it again for sure

Frank was an awesome guide! He gave us a basic archery lesson and provided bows, arrows and safety equipment such as arm guard and finger glove. The targets we set up to increase distance as you felt more confidence. We did not feel rushed and he gave us some history of the area. A fun activity and unique in the area. Great experience!

Super strange, its a random guys house off a dirt road. It is super remote, felt so unsafe and strange. There aren't any nearby homes either. I thought this was more of a professional experience. I could have bought my own equipment and done the same thing at home.

This is not in Palm Springs but rather in the city of Joshua Tree. We provide the equipment, targets , bows , arrows , and an area to shoot , along with a demo. Read the reviews before booking . Was great for beginners and the instructor was very informative and made the experience engaging. He also gave us great recommendations for things to do/see in the area while we were in town. Remember to stay hydrated and ready for sun. Overall, very cool skill to learn!

To be clear, this is not in or near the Joshua Tree experience but was a fun activity for the kids in that it was something different to do. I just wish the instructor was more engaged with us and stayed with us to show us some games or friendly competitions or something. Don't get me wrong, he knew about the fine art of archery, but he spent maybe 10 minutes with us to show us how to operate the equipment and then we were on our own. That wasn't the experience we expected, but it was something to do. If you want to switch things up while you're out in JT, I would still give this a try.

We had a great time, the gentleman provided us with a quick short lesson, guided us for a few minutes and then left us alone and let us do our thing. He gave us helpful tips that made it much easier and an overall fun experience.

Terrible experience because the instructor sucked. Didn’t know how to teach, was not helpful, nor was he patient. He was irritated and unprofessional from the very beginning. I wish I could get a refund! Made my partner feel
Uncomfortable and scared to mess up because of how condescending he was. This was our first time ruined because our instructor terrible attitude. Felt judged entire time 0/10.

We had a fantastic time as a group of four at Frank's archery experience. He equipped us with protection for both hands before patiently teaching us 61-year-olds with energy and encouragement. After initially instructing us, he left us to practice to our hearts' content. One hour was plenty of time before we wanted a hearty lunch. Several days before our lesson, Frank reached out to confirm our appointment, give us precise directions, and answer our questions. I've used Viator for several years worldwide, and Frank is the only proprietor who's reached out to us to ensure our day would go smoothly. Highly recommend.

This was a laidback and enjoyable encounter, with a friendly host and interesting desert landscape. It's off the beaten path, but a beautiful California day made it worth the trek; the no-pressure setup was exactly what I hoped for in a beginner archery experience.

This is good for first timer like us. Don't recommend this for experienced people. The whole experience was low key. Online booking does not offer you to pick a time, the owner will call you and schedule that after booking. We did not like the booking experience because our time and day had to change because he did not have the time that we want on the day that we booked it for. So you really don't know what time you will get until after you booked the day. There are 3 stations total so it was perfect for us. The instructor/owner was nice and laid back. Make sure the day you book is not windy or else it won't be fun.

Our team had the absolute best time doing Archery. The scenary was unbelievable and it was just a great way to do some company bonding. We booked for a corporate offsite activity and we are super grateful for this team.
