Rekindle your Christmas Spirit as you tour Dyker Heights. Our guide Stefen made the tour special. He provided lots of interesting insight and was very entertaining. Like all the wonderful Christmas lights he made our tour “enlightening.”

We were 3 of 5 English-speakers among 45 German speakers. Why were we not informed so we could have opted for another time? Also, never received an itinerary. Thought we had signed up to spend 3 hours in a warm bus. Stefan was great and did his best; however, 5 hours of listening to others enjoy the conversation in German quickly became boring. NYC vistas and Dykers were awesome, of course. Only Stefan gets 5 stars.

We had left an hour before needing to be at the meeting point. Because of the amount of people, that still wasn’t enough time. We called the phone number provided several times to tell them we were going to be late but no one ever answered the call. My husband and I both left voicemails that went unanswered. We got to the meeting place at 4:33 (meeting time said 4:30) and there was not one bus found. Again, we called the phone number listed and no answer. So not only did we miss out on the experience but we lost the money because it’s non-refundable. Very disheartening and unprofessional.

Dear Gina, We are sorry you missed the tour; that is very unfortunate, but we do state on the voucher to be there 15 minutes ahead, and we did answer your call at 4:30 pm and were on the phone for 2 minutes (we have those records). We always depart 5 minutes late if someone is missing; that is our grace period. Our guide was informed to wait a few minutes longer after the call; however, he did not look at his phone since he is dealing with over 50 guests on the bus. The driver departed at 4:35 pm, and you probably would've been the first to submit a complaint if you were on time and the guide would've been looking at his phone. We unfortunately can't win in these situations where guests are blaming us for their shortcomings. We hope you had a wonderful stay in NYC.

Not worth the money. While walking different tours were mixed within each other. Our tour guide had a yellow flag which was difficult to see if you were further back. The area is not lit up so you really needed to watch where you were walking.

The lights in the neighborhood were very beautiful. Drinking hot chocolate while seeing Christmas lights was priceless. The family truly enjoyed this experience. I recommend it to everyone of all ages.

This was such a wonderful Xmassy experience. The amount of effort put in to the decorations on each of the homes was incredible! Adding to the atmosphere was the Xmas songs played during the coach journey, and the ice cream vans parked on each corner with snow machines, selling hot chocs. Some of the residents of the homes were also in their garages selling hot drinks for a small fee, which was really nice to see. Very friendly and beautiful neighbourhood. Our tour guide, unfortunately I cant remember his name but he was German if that helps to identify him, he was very nice & friendly also. The stop off to watch the sunset on the way to Dyker was wonderful, we were very lucky to have had a clear night & could see the Statue of Liberty in the distance, with the orange/yellow sky, stunning. The stop off on the way back to see the twinkling Manhattan skyline in the darkness was amazing. Brilliant tour, would definitely recommend to people of all ages.

The tour was somehow overbooked and we were unable to go. However it turned out ok for us and we received a sincere apology and full refund that same night as well as an offer to go for free if we should return to NYC. So based on their fair refund and email communication I would book with them again.

My daughter and I always try to add a new holiday experience each year. We are local ( from NJ) but I hate driving and Brooklyn and can’t handle lack of parking. Took this tour and it was amazing way to see the lights. We had a guide who spoke German for some of the tourists and he was amazing. He was calm , friendly, informative and kept everyone together

They put us in an adult day care van for 5 hours with no restroom. They didn’t drop us off at Bryant Park afterwards. We got tired of the driver going around the block at 46th st. and finally asked to get out.

Sunil the operated was terrific, he was very helpful and knowledgeable, he took all the pictures for us. We had a great time thanks to him. We would recommend this tour to everyone coming to NY in December.

The tour was ok… the houses are beautiful and it is definitely an experience to see especially at Christmas. but the guide was not well organized, it did not keep the group together and some people were also lost who then did not manage to return with us on the bus

Dear Samantha, thank you for your review. Just to correct you on one issue. No one was lost! The gentleman who did not travel back with us was visiting with his girlfriend from Atlanta, he grew up in the Bronx and was back in NYC first time since his teenage years. He was amazed on how, in meantime, Brooklyn had changed and he wanted to make his way back on his own, however he texted that to the guide a little too late, hence the extra 15 minute wait before departing back to Manhattan.
We apologize if the guide didn’t have a very deep conversation with you but he had 55 guest and it is difficult to have more detailed interaction with everyone.
As per not keeping the group together, as you remember the guide advised you and everyone else where and when to meet in case someone gets lost or wanted to go on its own. Some guest that night, a couple with their daughter, were natives from Brooklyn who had moved to Jersey a while ago but still knew their way around and preferred to explore the neighborhood on their own. Others just preferred enjoying the lights on their own pace (some like taking pics, others don’t like to be in large groups, some like to get a snack at the carts etc.), which we respect, cherish and do our best to please all of our guests specific needs. Hence the announcement in the beging when and where to meet. We nor force or chain our guest but next time you join us we might give it a try ;)

Super expérience le quartier est juste magnifique on en prend plein le yeux
Nous avions pris un guide français mais il était malade donc nous avons eu un guide allemand bon au début on était dégoûté mais il était vraiment super sympa.
Il ne faut pas passer à côté de cette excursion

Pas du tout déçu d avoir réservé cette visite guidée. Guide super gentille et très professionnel. Les maisons sont magnifiques. Si je devais revenir à New York à la même période, je referais cette visite.

Le quartier est magnifique et ça vaut la visite. Dommage les 20 minutes de retard au départ et qu’on nous indique en cours de route que le point du départ n’est pas là où on nous laissera
