Fantastic tour with great historical and architectural information. Very different life in the city verses plantation living. It was so nice to see and hear about the differences. Judith was a gracious and informative tour guide who could answer any question asked! This is a must do your

Of the tours I’ve taken in and around New Orleans, this is my favorite. It is small enough in scope to explore the topic in depth. Gallier House is a step back I time to experience the daily life of one family in the second half of the nineteenth century. Our guide gave us enough information that I felt I could imagine these individuas, their relationships and the very contour of events throughout a typical day. Loved it.

The house has been nicely preserved and updated with time period furniture. The history of the house and tour guide was excellent.

Thought it was a simple house tour but came away with one of our best experiences ever. Loved Gallier House but it was our tour guide who went far beyond expectations.

If you’d like a peak into the past of an upper middle class family in the 1860’s in the French Quarter then this is the tour for you! Our guide was very informative and passionate about this museum and all the folks who have lived here. It’s a wonderful tour!

I love Nola, with all my heart. But this tour almost took me out. There was so much mold upstairs that I had to leave out. There was mold growing out of the ceiling upstairs. The tour guide seemed to not care that I couldn’t breathe and was about to pass out. I brought to her attention that you could smell the mold once you got to the top of the stairs and that’s dangerous. She just looked at me with this blank stare. Please get the building treated and cleaned before sometime horrible happens.

It was so interesting to see the interior of this century old home, its period furnishings and so much about life and habits of that generation. Our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable.

Great learning experience. As the original owner was an architect, it was interesting to see how he tried to improve his home with "innovations" from the time. The differences in the enslaved people's quarters versus the owner's family was stark and sobering.

Wonderful tour (I was the only person so it was very VIP). It was interesting to hear about the lives of upper middle class people living in the city during the civil war time… and Susie (sp?) was very knowledgeable and friendly! She even pointed out the areas of the property used to film “interview with the Vampire.” Highly recommend!

My nephew and I were looking for a quick tour before our brunch at Court of Two Sisters. We came across this tour and thought why not. And we found this tour extremely interesting. The history of the house and all that lived there was very interesting and the house is amazing!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and had some great well-themed jokes. This was such a cool way to take a look back into NOLA's past and it was in such a cool part of the neighborhood.
