Itinerary

A fascinating attraction for both visitors and science buffs alike, the La Brea Tar Pits feature the remains of animals from the Pleistocene Era, spanning from 2.6 million to 11,700 years ago. These historic creatures are entombed in natural asphalt traveling up from the ground, for a rare display of ancient history.

Your Segway tour begins in central Los Angeles, where your guide will provide instructional tips on operating your Segway before hitting the streets. Once you feel comfortable, head out to the La Brea Tar Pits, where you'll hear the history of the area from your guide.

Examine the bones from dire wolves, ground sloths, North American lions, mammoths, and more, and enjoy plenty of great Ice Age photo ops along the way. You’ll also learn how the tar from the pits was used by early settlers for building materials and fuel.

Chips and bottled water will be provided throughout your trip to help you recharge. Your tour will conclude at its original departure point.

Fun way to see Beverly Hills and La Brea

Jose was a great guide. Pointed out some hidden gems in Beverly Hills and explained some of the film industry processes from an insider’s perspective. And of course seeing all that by Segway is the most fun way to do it!
