Antonio gave us an exceptional tour. He spent 11 hours driving us to castles, palaces, local food, and beautiful coastal scenery. We did a good amount of walking and castle stairs which made this experience very active in nature which we loved. Antonio knows where to go and what time so we had no lines or traffic. Some of the places we went, he purchased tickets ahead so we went right in. The coastal views were incredible. We never felt rushed and spent as much time as we wanted in each spot. He gave us a few choices along the way which was nice. We learned a lot about Lisbon and Sintra history. We highly recommend Antonio for anyone looking to have an experience with an exceptional guide.

Antonio is incredible. I cannot recommend this tour more highly. Sintra area is confusing to navigate before and during and there are many worthwhile sights, but it was a lot to wade through as a foreign tourist.
I wanted Antonio to devise a tour for me that maximized the day and skipped the tourist black holes. And he did just that, on the fly, in the first five minutes of us meeting. Antonio crafted a plan and executed it as a true professional. There were locations during my tour that were GORGEOUS that I was in as the only guest or nearly the only guest because he knew when to go and/ or what was under the radar for other tours and touring guests.
Also, Antonio is kind, considerate, and was a joy to spend the day with. He was a wealth of knowledge and we talked history, architecture, flora, fauna, and about many other things. He checked in with me often to see how I was feeling, and I love to go but I’m sure if I wanted a slower pace or anything else, he would have made it happen.
I cannot recommend this tour more highly. I would not hesitate to recommend this to any friend or family or tour with him again.

A full day tour which is personalised to you. Antonio is a great tour guide and to his credit as most of the Monuments in Sintra were closed due to last week's storms he had Plan B in place and ensured I still got to see other aspects of Sintra so I felt I didnt really miss out. He also went out of his way to take me through Belem on the way back - as I was going solo the next day - and gave advice on how to get there and the many museums that are located in the area. When I mentioned I was interested in seeing a Fado show he took me to a great place and got me a reservation for the next evening.
Highly recommend Antonio, as he said 'this day is for you' and he ensured that I had the best day.

Booking our day with Antonio was the single greatest choice we made while in Portugal. Prior to the trip he was responsive, attentive and collaborative. When we met up with him for our first day together in Sintra he was more than flexible to ensure we got to see everything we truly wanted to. The weather wasn't amazing but of course that's not his fault. The palace of Quelez is absolutely breathtaking and should NOT be missed. Sintra truly feels like a fairytale town and we could feel Antonio's passion towards the area. He supplied us with many tales of not only the area but quirks in the Portuguese culture, food, etc. There was never a dull moment. We ended our day at an amazing cafe where he knew exactly what to order. His bonds with the people we encountered throughout the day were very noticeable and he ensured we got the best service and options to make our day relaxing, memorable and entirely worth it. I can promise you that there is not a better tour guide in the whole of Portugal and that not booking with Antonio is a sorely made decision. All of our family members who have expressed interest in traveling to Portugal have been given his contact information and I strongly encourage everyone to take any tour offered by him.

This was probably the best excursion I have been on. Antonio was timely picking us up. He had a perfectly planned day for us. Gave great instructions and knew all of the short cuts to make things easier at Pena Palace and the Moorish castle. He was very knowledgeable and informative of the history and what we were seeing. He even made time for Cabo de Rico, and a drive along the coast on the way back to Lisbon. Door to door service. I will be using him for future excursions in Portugal.

Outstanding tour! Our guide, Antonio, was the best, he was extremely knowledgeable taking time to provide history and context during tour. Antonio took us to the more popular destinations, as well as to some of the less known, but equally impressive sites. He took us to some amazing places for pastries, lunch and tapas. Antonio provided excellent suggestions but also wanted to ensure my wife and I were seeing/experiencing what we wanted. Overall, 5 stars and would highly recommend.

This tour was an amazing experience and Antonio was an incredible guide. He went above and beyond with showing me the area of Sintra and was very accommodating with letting me take my time to see each site at my own pace. In addition, he kept in touch and provided his own recommendations even after the trip was complete. Super nice guy and very knowledgable about the area and its history. This was the best tour I have ever taken through Viator and I highly recommend.

Antonio is the perfect tour guide! He communicated with us several times ahead of the tour. He picked us up at our hotel at 8:40AM. His van is very comfortable. He showed us several major and minor sites in Sintra, including the National Palace of Queluz, the gorgeous Biester Palace, Castelo dos Mouros, Pena Palace, and much more. He let us modify the tour; we wanted to walk around the historic town for a bit, and he was very willing to change plans. Before the tour ended, he showed us some beautiful views of the ocean. The last stop was dinner at Páteo do Petisco Torre--and he helped select several tapas for us. This was one of our best days in Portugal!

Antonio was a terrific guide. We were on a cruise and he was very flexible with our timeline. He picked us up at the port and had a printed itinerary. He had very quick communication before the cruise and we were extremely confident about booking this outside of the cruise. We went to many places that Antonio described before we arrived at each site. He guided and let us explore on our own. We got some pastries to try and are now our new favorite. We highly recommend this tour.

We met Antonio in the morning for what became an unbelievable full day guided tour (very flexible - his suggestions our suggestions - all blended together). He thinks of everything in putting together the itinerary. We would use Antonio everyday for all of our discoveries of Lisbon and the surrounding areas - which we will do the next time we return to Lisbon. He knows it all. Antonio is a great driver and guide. We were never rushed and he answered all our questions. He is very accommodating and made us taste pastries typical of the area, he knew of a great pastry shop on the way. Sintra is beautiful, be prepared to walk. We liked the Quinta Regaleira very much. The Moor Palace is a great place for pictures. Also stopped by the Peña Palace. Went to Cabo Da Roca. He even took us to meet our friends for drinks. All and all it was a great day! Thanks António. Highly recommend him.

It was a wonderful day trip to several of Portugal top sights such as Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Castelo dos Mouros and the National Palace of Queluz. We got to Farol do Cabo da Roca after dark just as the sun was setting, and it was a different yet just as beautiful atmosphere. We did not get a chance to see Boca do Inferno as it was already late, and we hope to have the chance next time we are in Portugal.
Antonio was patient and a great guide/driver. He also took us to a great pastry place Casa do Preto in Sintra for a drink and snack.
Highly recommended!

Antonio is by far the best tour guide in all of Portugal. He went out of his way for us so many times. By the end of our time together, he felt like family. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of room in his van for a comfortable trip. Antonio is extremely kind, very knowledgeable, and cares for all his guests. He knows all the best places to eat and sightsee. Antonio even picked us up from the airport on arrival, and for our departure, gave us a ride, walked us in and helped us navigate the airport, at no extra charge. Antonio even gave us complimentary snacks, wine, and juice when we arrived. We used him for a tour to Sintra and historical sites outside of Lisbon. He drove us all around the Lisbon neighborhoods and gave us great recommendations. When the national forest was unexpectedly closed due to forest fires, he quickly came up with other activities, including the beach. As we visited a site, Antonio went to the store and picked up towels for my whole family since we didn’t have them. He was able to reserve tables for us when needed and joined us for many meals. He got us into the best Fado bar! Another great thing about Antonio is that he has no specific end time on his tours so you can see as much as you want and not get cut short. None of the other tours we looked into came close to offering the number of sites we were able to see with Antonio. I cannot say enough good things about him. He even called to say happy birthday to my wife after we had returned from the trip!

We came down to the lobby of the hotel we were staying 10 minutes early and were surprised that Antonio, our guide, was there already waiting for us. He gave us more details along the way to Sintra. He personally directed us on how to get tickets for the attractions using the ticket dispensing machine, explained what to expect to see inside and gave us sufficient time frame to explore the attractions.
Our first stop, The Queluz Royal Palace. It was not an impressive building as we see it from the outside, but it was amazing in the inside. It got hundreds of years of history inside it and was well restored and presented. The garden behind it is in the league of Schonbrunn Palace and Belvedere Palace in Austria, though in smaller scale.
We visited the Palacio Pena, Castelo dos Mouros em Sintra, Quinta Regaleira and Cabo Da Roca. We took the shore route back to Lisbon passing the municipality of Cascais, Carcavelos and the Belem Tower along the way.
We really like how Antonio presented the tour. He explained the highlights of the place, unleashed us to explore on our own, promptly pick us up when we are done and filled us up on whatever queries we have while en route to the next destination.
We are a budget travelers and such made us, as a habit, to constantly look for any signs if we are getting ripped off and not. We had to admit that Antonio is among the honest and compassionate person out there. His tour and services are well beyond worth it. He look after your gain, sometimes sacrificing his own. Our sincere appreciation Antonio for a remarkably stunning day in Sintra.
