We really loved the tour. It was a good bit of walking but nothing too hard or crazy. We loved the smaller group size and our guide really made the tour more personable. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

I took the “Lisbon: The Dark Unholy Secrets” walking tour today and it was one of the highlights of my time in Lisbon so far — and Clara is the reason why.
Her knowledge of the Portuguese Inquisition and Lisbon’s darker history is impressive, and she has a simple gift for storytelling. She brought these centuries-old events to life in a way that was genuinely gripping. I felt like I understood a whole side of this city that most people never glimpse.
What really set Clara apart, though, was her kindness and patience. I arrived late and had real difficulty locating the group — it took nearly half an hour until I finally found them. Clara stayed in communication with me the entire time, calm and gracious, she never made me feel like a burden. She simply kept working with me until I was where I needed to be. That kind of care for a guest is rare, and I deeply appreciated it.

This was so interesting - all about the Portuguese inquisition. Some is a bit grisly, some shocking, some sad, some surprising- all fascinating. Well worth it. The guide was interesting and friendly. We enjoyed her company as well as her stories.

Loved this tour, one of my highlights for the trip as I love the format of the history discussed and I find it's good to do on your first night in the city to familiarise yourself with the area. Andreia was so animated, fun, passionate, and most of all knowledgeable. The history of Lisbon and the areas we went to were so interesting and you take for granted all that happened on a space you just walk by casually. My only spot for improvement is throw in a couple of actual ghost stories here and there. It's more of a morbid history as opposed to spooky. Andreia even gave us recommendations on the route and also answered some curve ball questions about the history and politics of Lisbon not included in the tour. Loved it and highly recommend!

I received a private Tour since no one else had signed up. It was wonderful and very informative. It's definitely a lot of walking at a fast pace and with lots of hills, so not for the faint of heart. Absolutely recommend it!

We booked this tour for last weekend in Lisbon.
Unfortunately, the small print indicated it was in Spanish only, even though the full description was in English.
We arrived and the guide, who was friendly, said he couldn’t take us in English and I spoke to another person on the phone who offered a different day which we couldn’t do.
The whole thing took 20 minutes. More than happy to compensate for the guys time as clearly it was a mistake, however, refunding us only 20% of our full booking is outrageous. You took 80% for what? Twenty minutes to tell us there was a mistake? I applied to Viatour and the organisers declined our request.
Like I said, more than happy to compensate but 80% is disproportionate and we feel cheated out of our money.
For those looking for book…check the small print because these guys will take your money.
