Very easy to find meetup spot. Comfortable ride. We didn’t see any bears, but it was still a nice place to stop for pictures. All of the other stops were great. And the best part was Clarke. He knows the island well and tells a great story.

Clarke was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Ketchikan’s history and culture. He was very accommodating. He took us to remote areas to see nature at its finest. The scenery was breathtaking. We also experienced the more popular attractions in Ketchikan - Creek Street and Totem Bright State Park. I would definitely recommend this personalized tour as you will not be disappointed.

I'm so happy we booked Clark's tour/Puddle Jummpers! It was a personal tour. Clark is a natural for sharing Ketchikan information. We were able to visit everything we wanted to see. Plus he shared the best places for souvenirs and FUDGE!! Saw lots of eagles, authentic totem pole/ buildings, a waterfall plus the historic areas/salmon ladder. Walked on the beach and even held a small crab. The pace was perfect! My husband was happy that we had no last minute port shopping. We found authentic art sweatshirts, salmon berry jellies and the best chocolate with blueberries! We had our 13yr granddaughter with us and she enjoyed it too. Definitely would do again!! Also no stress meeting up with Clark. He sent text messages as we were getting off our ship!

The tour ended up to be only me ( one person) on the tour and Clark still ok to continue with this tour. Clark is really friendly and professional. He took me to see all the high light places on this tour. I had a great time and enjoyed all the stop that we went. Every location that we stop are so beautiful. I learn a lot more about the history of Ketchikan. Thank you so much.

We had so much fun with Clarke on our tour in Ketchikan! He is so knowledgeable, from the town history and native culture, to the local ecosystems (I will definitely be watching that Ted talk Clarke!). We ran into several other tours in our travels and could tell Clarke’s depth of knowledge is second to none. I could not have asked a for a better way to experience this amazing town. Hands down the best tour on our trip. Thank you Clarke!

Ketchikan a hidden gem: Tailored tour experience

If you’re seeking authentic and personalized excursions, I highly recommend booking with Clarke. My husband and I recently embarked on a 7-day Alaskan cruise, with Ketchikan as our final destination. We visited the Viator website and came across Clarke’s booking page. We read a few reviews and were impressed by his willingness to accommodate our preferences. We’re from the Bahamas, and my husband had a specific desire to see bears. Clarke took us to the end of the road, literally, to search for them. He was determined to make our last cruise port day unforgettable, and he succeeded. Although there weren’t any bears nearby, we learned a lot about Ketchikan’s authentic culture and had a wonderful time. We hope to return to Ketchikan soon and plan another customized tour with Clarke. He was also incredibly kind enough to drop us off close to our dock, making our stay even more convenient.

A quick overview of many area highlights

Clarke was very knowledgeable about the area and told some great background stories. We really wanted to see nature locations and wildlife- but we spent quite a bit of our time at the Totem Bight State Park area- looking at the totem poles and replica Saxman village and gift shop. Very much enjoyed Creek Street and the seals chasing the salmon. Made a quick run to Herring Cove- no bears or eagles. And a Quick Look at a road side waterfall. Got to sample a bit of jam at a road side stand and Clarke delivered us back promptly at all-aboard time. Overall - felt a bit rushed and the focus was not on the things that we really wanted to view.

Great tour to see all the highlights of the area I had a list and Clarke had them all covered! We saw the totems. A bear, waterfall. Beach. Had great salmon and jam. And walked the salmon ladder. He is a local and as well so has lots of information. We signed up for 2 and 4 others joined us And we purchased a totem that was locally made versus the ones in port shops made in Bali

We had a great day with Clarke. He took us to a bear sanctuary and saw a number of bears catching salmon and enjoying the fruits of their labor. We also saw the salmon ladder. Clarke was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Clark has lived in the area for 25 years and knows Ketchikan well. He gave personalized service, was patient with our party which had mobility problems and was helpful in assisting. Also, he took us to places that were easy to navigate for our party. He is friendly and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to have a beautiful, sunny day in Ketchikan. One person in our party said this was her favorite day of the whole trip. Clark is punctual and friendly. A fun guide with personality. He is good with kids and wants the visitors to have a great day. Van was clen and we'll maintained. He never rushed us anywhere.

I wish I could give this tor 10 stars 🌟. We had the best time with Clarke. Like being driven around by a old friend. We went all over Ketchikan and saw things the way they were meant to be...in the open. We saw a mama bear and her 2.cubs having dinner...caught by mama. Amazing!!! We went to an authentic Totem Park.. and learned so much! I will never look at a Totem the same way understanding now what I am looking at. His tour was so fun...just sad that Janet the Jam Lady had closed up early that day. If you are looking for a great way to see Ketchikan...go with Clarke.

Great Day Away from the Crowds!

We recently went on an excursion with Clarke in Ketchikan that took us away from the usual tourist spots, and it was terrific. Right from the start, we felt refreshed as we left the busy docks filled with cruise ship passengers. Clarke was knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He shared stories about Ketchikan's history, local wildlife, and the beautiful landscapes around us. He took us to see many local places that we couldn't have found on our own. Clarke told us that we would see wildlife... and he delivered. Best vantage point of eagles ever. If you're looking for an authentic, personalized adventure away from the crowds, we highly recommend this type of excursion to discover the hidden gems of Ketchikan. It was one of the best parts of our trip!

10/10! Highly recommend! Clarke was knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. Really tailored the tour to our interests- stopped at Rainbow Falls, Creek St, Potlach Park and so much more! We had my 9 year old son with us and he did a great job holding his interest through the tour by creating “challenges” for him to complete for a prize at the end…my son absolutely loved it!! I booked this tour quite last minute and Clarke still arrived early and picked us up right at our ship. Texted us when he arrived and dropped us off right back at our dock. He made the process so easy and stress free! Do not miss this excursion!!

Perfect - Customizable Tour

Highly Recommend this excursion with Clarke - We had limited time in port, and Clarke made the most of that time. He picked us (2 adults and 3 kids) up in Ward Cove, and discussed what we would like to do for the day. We started off with a short hike at Settler's Cove and spent some time at the beach there as well. After Settler's Cove we stopped at Potlatch Totem Park to view the tribal houses and totem poles. Our last stop was the Downtown Ketchikan area, exploring Creek Street and other areas around Creek Street. We had time to grab a bite to eat during this stop as well. After these stops, Clarke dropped us back off at Ward Cove, making the trip seemless. He provided great commentary and a lot of knowledge during our time together, giving us the history of Ketchikan and background information of all areas we went to. He also had soda and water if we wanted. Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough as we had the perfect day in Ketchikan. Thanks Clarke for a great, memorable day in Ketchikan!
