Overview

Observe bears in their natural habitat on a half-day tour by air from Ketchikan. Your pilot shares commentary via radio headset during the 40-minute scenic flight as you go over the Inside Passage to Prince of Wales Island. Land at Polk Inlet and visit the United States Forest Service bear-viewing platform, where your guide helps you get a close look at wild bears as they hunt for salmon along the creek. You will be picked up 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Our white van will pick you up on the north side of the Ketchikan Visitor Bureau located at berth 2 on the main cruise ship pier. Please contact our office once you arrive at 907-225-1206 or text 907-617-1967. We also have a direct phone lines inside the Visitor Bureau *70. Flight times can be adjusted if we have any weather delays, etc.

Best tour ever!!

This was amazing experience .I booked last min day before i really had no idea other than I would see bears and get to ride in a sea plane Well this was really fun The plain was in very good shape and the pilot was fantastic. We arived on this island and took a van to I felt a very remote spot that had a well take care of path .I forest was so beautiful. I knew we are in for an adventure when we arrived at the end of the path, a small wood deck. As you stand on this deck you can view black bears feeding in the stream. This stream is very close. We saw about 10 bears and even a baby. This is the best adventure ever. I travel a lot and WOW this was amazing. Its a small group about 8 of us. As leaving through the brush we spotted on the other side a big male, wow big black bear. Take this it's a trip of a lifetime. I will say I just had a knee replacement and had no idea it would be such a walk, but I would do this again.

Had a fantastic experience on this tour. Drew the bear guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw 9 bears in their natural habitat feeding on salmon.

Sea plane trip was wonderful experience.... saw the real Alaska. The pilot even showed us seals flew low. The hike to bear platform was easy and being in the wilderness was beautiful. Guide was terrific. Thanks again for flying. Soo happy weather cleared. Best of all excursions......
