Nicknamed the “Garden Isle,” Kauai is the oldest of Hawaii’s main islands, giving it time to become the lush oasis it is today. On this tour, you’ll experience its western wonders, from the Grand Canyon of the Pacific—and the 800-foot Waipoo Falls—to the largest coffee orchard in the country. You’ll feed chickens, cross historic swinging bridges, taste local foods, and walk away understanding Hawaii’s greatest legends.

Coco was an outstanding guide. She was so pleasant and knowlegable.
We went to Waimea Canyon, the coffee plantation and several other stops.
And she had, with her in the van, a young man who was so helpful assisting one of our party who had dementia, and difficulty entering and exiting the vehicle.
We enjoyed the whole day with her.

This was a great sampling of western Kauai with the highlight being the various views of the canyon and Waipo falls . The tour guide was knowledgeable about the history and culture of Kauai and sought out great spots for photography. She also gave us ample opportunities for exploring and visiting the town of Hanapepe and Kauai coffee . I loved Hanapepe shops and the swinging bridge. Enjoyed others in our small group and the lunch at the lodge was very good.

The Tour was amazing. The host was delightful, with plenty of knowledge of the island and its culture. Even though we were all strangers Coco was able to creature a really nice environment for everybody to feel like friends. The sights are all worth experiencing and Coco knows where are the best views. Great views, plenty of laughs, lots of knowledge and a worthwhile experience. Thanks Coco for a lovely time.

Excellent tour! Highly recommended! Coco Maria, owner and tour guide, is an extraordinary host! She is knowledgeable of the history, folklore, geography, flora and fauna, and local economy. The 15 passenger air conditioned van is clean and very comfortable. There were 2 stops for food - a wonderful little bakery for breakfast, and a great restaurant in the mountains for lunch. Both with delicious food and beverage choices. Coco Maria is well-organized with carefully curated stops along the way, with plenty of time for exploration and picture taking. Most important of all, Coco Maria is a kind and “soulful” person who addressed each guests’ needs, desires and concerns, both young and elderly.

If you want to feel like you’re doing an express run through Kauai’s gems, do this. This was an amazing experience for my husband and I. The tour groups are 8-12 people. We explored wonderful views, historical landmarks, and experienced great local eats along the way. In between stops, our guide shared her knowledge on the history, culture, and agriculture of Kauai and other islands of Hawaii as well. You won’t find another tour like this, nor a tour guide that cares that much about your experience. Book it! You won’t regret it. Worth every single penny.

This tour was absolutely essential! Our guide Coco (not koko) was such a sweet soul! She is so passionate about sharing the Hawaiian heritage with new people. The sights of the canyon where absolutely breathtaking and the lunch was a welcomed treat at the top of mountain. Our only regret is not doing this earlier in our stay. It would have given us so much more context to the island of Kauai. Thanks again Coco

Great tour with Coco, she is a wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide. The tour highlighted the amazing & beautiful west side of the island, Waimea Canyon. Additionally there were several other stops that introduced us to Kauai’s local coffee, local bakery with island specialties & local specialty shops with locally made products. Recommend this tour!

Coco was the best! She’s friendly and very welcoming. She has such a great sense of humor that we laughed so much during our tour! It was nice that this tour was in a smaller group, it was cozy. She was very knowledgeable of the culture and had great stories and information to share. I felt like we started out as strangers and felt like we were families by the end of the tour. We learned so much about the history of the island; an all encompassing ethnicity bakery, how coffee is harvested along with tasting the coffee grown here, waterfalls and canyons, how the island was formed, along with local folklore. Coco makes the tour relaxing, much laughter and also great food at the Lodge in the State park. This is a great way to spend a day. Great value and fun too

Our guide Coco was excellent, always ready to take pictures, showing the tour her “secret” spots and very funny. Her van was very comfortable and stress less getting in and out of the parks!

The tour introduced us to magnificent nature’s wonders of da Westside of Kauai. The views were just breathtaking. Coco shared with us her immense knowledge about the island’s history and made valuable recommendations about other places worth seeing, must do activities or restaurants which cannot be omitted. Besides, she made us all feel that we were welcomed and warmly cared for. It was just wonderful experience.

The scenery was AMAZING and Coco made it that much better. She was very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian history and culture. My only regret is not doing this tour sooner. She gave us a lot of info on where to eat and beaches swim.

Best day ever!!! My husband and I had been on the island for a week already, I personally thought we had seen so much of the island with kayaking/hiking, the ATV adventure, the botanical garden tour, and also having a rental car we had explored what I thought was the majority of the island, so I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this tour, but OMG was I wrong!!! Coco was amazing, her island energy was infectious, she took us first to the coffee plantation which blew my mind!!! A totally beautiful place with so much history. Coco made it fun with some trivia that we all enjoyed as we embarked onto our next point of interest, every stop was breathtaking, and all the knowledge that Coco shared was AMAZING!!! Then when we got to the Koke’e Lodge for lunch, where I enjoyed the avocado toast and my husband the loco moco, and upon the suggestion from Coco to try the Lilikoi Chiffon pie, we were happily fed and loved all the food!!! And the added bonus of getting 10% off our check…whoop whoop!!! This tour was hands down was the best day of our trip!!! Coco who is also the owner of Kauai Soul Travel is truly a delightful person who ensured we were all informed as to what happening and shared so much of the history and Aloha spirit, the van had picked up a piece of metal in the tire, and I can only imagine how stressful that would be but Coco ensured we all were informed and safe at all times!! Even with the tire, Coco was aware of the other couples evening plans and ensured even with the tire, we all got back in time for dinner luau plans. The tour was even better then what was described when we booked!!!! I am so thankful for the amazing day that Coco provided for us!!! This tour is so good, a couple who had been on this tour earlier in their trip had booked it again for the day we went!!! In my opinion that speaks volumes about how amazing it is!!! So I would like to say first and foremost the tour guide Coco Maria is awesome and very knowledgeable about the area and you can see she has a passion for what she does!
The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the overall experience of what we were expecting was less and especially for the price of the experience.
We did a similar tour of places in Maui a few years back and you felt more immersed in the experience.
I think it’s based on expectations- what the descriptions stated on the various websites and how it was “sold to you” versus what the tour ended up being.
I would kind of compare this tour to a “hop on hop off tour” with commentary. You go to various places- take pictures of them and then hop back on and hear more about the area. If that is what you want/expecting than you will love this tour.
