No show.. no call.. no answer when we called.. no anything!! This is beyond unacceptable!! Beware! Do not book!!
Learned about salmon and the hatching process, plenty of fish to catch and experience loaded of fun. Our tour guide Logan and his coworker were fun, helpful, accommodating, cordial and all good atribute of a great tour guide.
We didn't catch any fish, and we realize we can't catch what is not there. But maybe we could have used different bait. The tour of hatchery was nice, but could have been shorter.
Our guide was very informative. We learned before the tour that salmon actually run in August and, therefore, unlikely to actually catch a fish. Should have researched better. The kids really liked it though.
We had high expectations for catching salmon and we didn't catch any. We don't blame anyone for that as that isn't something they can control. We did learn after the fact that during this time of year, early June, there aren't many salmon there yet. We did see two bald eagles and a seal that hung out by us while we fished which was cool. I think my biggest frustration is that we didn't get nearly the experience we expected for the amount of money we paid. Maybe have a backup fishing location to try or even a different type of fishing so at least we could catch a fish? We literally kept the same set up for almost 3 hours and kept casting and only caught seeweed. I don't want this to all be negative as we did enjoy our interactions with Michelle and Matt. It sounds like if you want to catch salmon you need to visit in July or August.
Our guide was full of knowledge and was so patient especially with me. I am not a fisherman. We didn’t catch anything, but my son wanted to go Salmon fishing in Alaska. The tour of the hatchery was very interesting too.
This is a family run business and the people couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating! Exceptional knowledge and stayed by us every minute to help land and release the fish. The hatchery was most interesting and all-in-all they gave us a perfect fishing experience!

Great experience! My kids and grandkids loved it. What a fun day in Juneau. Highly recommend this excursion to everyone
What a great time! Chance was our guide and was excellent! So much fun. On time informative and great sense of humor. Catch and release from a deck.
Joshua and Taylor were excellent! Fishing was off that day but nonetheless they elevated the experience with their joyful personality and great conversation. Caught a nice Chum Salmon on Josh’s homemade roe bait. Would totally use them again next trip.
The charter company “forgot” our reservation, although it was confirmed that morning, and we were stranded in Juneau. The charter company Chum Fun offered no alternatives and was very rude. Luckily, we stumbled upon Alaska anglers and they saved the day with an Amazing excursion. Viator should be more aware of the charter companies they work with because it does reflect on Viator and its reputation.
Paul was great - He went overboard to make sure our experience was great, would highly recommend this experience to anyone
The guide, Josh, was fantastic. He was very patient with my son, who has cognitive disabilities. He made sure that everyone caught salmon and had a great time. Absolutely recommend.
Awesome job by the guide and crew.highly recommend would do again . Jay and Paul were awaking and very happy to assist
We didn’t really catch any salmon. We did catch a few trash fish and had good opportunity to see some bald eagles. I understand that fishing is fishing. I was disappointed that we were shown a great place to fish near the hatchery and then driven miles away to actually fish somewhere else with no salmon results.
It got cancelled , what more is there to say , came to Alaska to fish for salmon and it got cancelled
Derek was fun and a great guide. Enthusiastic and helped me land a 10 pound salmon. He knows qhat he is doing.
The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Special shoutout to Noah for his patience and incredibly positive attitude. Would have given 5 stars if we caught some salmon. I understand that none of us can control nature but more options for fishing where we have better accessto the fishwouldgo a long way. Would definitely go again.
Seeing a seal swim up the salmon ladder was like unexpected. Josh was fairly helpful, Noah just took the best fishing spot.
