We had a fun tour with Lyric. He gave us the history of the place and told us about Pirate's Cove. We nearly got to see a sting ray! They are fast. He went at a great pace for all of us and got us back safe.

Absolutely terrible I we received a call 10 minutes to the trip that it was cancelled and informed us we would receive our money back and never did. Terrible service
Response from Host, May 2025
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the last-minute cancellation. We understand how disappointing that must have been, especially so close to your scheduled tour.
While we do our best to monitor and predict weather conditions ahead of time, Florida weather can be unpredictable, and storms can pop up suddenly. Guest safety is always our top priority, and sometimes we have to make tough calls at the last minute to ensure everyone stays safe.
Please know that your refund has been issued on our end. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take several business days to fully process and appear in your account. If you don’t see it soon, feel free to reach out to us directly- we’re happy to provide transaction details or assist further.

Brittany was wonderful with my two kids. She explained the nature around us and was so helpful! Highly recommend. Would book a different time to see more water life, but it didn’t detract from the experience.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you so much for the kind words! We're so happy to hear Brittany made the tour special for you and your kids—she’s fantastic at making nature fun and engaging for little explorers. We totally understand wanting to see more wildlife; timing and tides can definitely make a difference, but we’re glad it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We'd love to have you back for another adventure at a different time of day!

We had such an awesome time on the clear kayak tour! The views were amazing, and being able to see right through the kayak made the whole experience feel so unique. What really made it stand out, though, was our guide, Erin. She was fantastic—super friendly and easy to talk to, and she knew so much about the area.
She pointed out all kinds of cool wildlife and shared fun facts that kept everyone interested, even the kids. Erin really made the trip feel special, and her positive energy was contagious.

Obviously the water and kayaking but most memorable was our tour guide ally. She is so knowledgeable and informative. My kids eat up facts about nature and they were highly engrossed . The rowing and being out on the ocean was calming and exactly what we needed that day.

It was a perfect day with moderate cloud coverage and no boat traffic. We saw a sting ray and a jelly fish and a few different bird species. The marine life was quiet we didn’t really see much but overall it was a great peaceful experience. Our guide Erin was very nice and extremely educated in marine biology and seemed to be extremely passionate about all of the animals.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Thank you for sharing your experience on your tour. I'm glad you got to see some of the local residents that call this fragile ecosystem home. Erin is a wealth of information and loves sharing information with others. Finding a peaceful waterway around the Destin area can be a challenge which is what makes the spoil islands so specials. Again, thank you for adventuring with us!

We are a family of 5 with 3 older teen girls. It's hard to find an activity we all agree on so this was perfect. Adventurous but at a slower pace where we could enjoy the outdoors. It's a good workout but if you don't want to go very far, the guide will accommodate whatever the group wants to do. They also provide dry bags to keep your phone and keys in. We wanted to paddle a lot and see all the coves so we did the full experience. So fun to stop at the sandbar to wade in the water and look for fish and crabs. Was hoping to see more wildlife than we did but we saw a big hermit crab and a few cool fish. The water is more brackish than clear so I was a little disappointed about that but we had a great time and an excellent guide. Elizabeth was very knowledgable and kind, conscious about boat traffic and keeping us safe and very accommodating. We had a great time and would do it again!
Response from Host, Jun 2024
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that our activity was a hit with your family. It's great to know that the pace allowed you to enjoy the outdoors while still being adventurous. We're glad you appreciated the flexibility in the itinerary and the use of dry bags for your valuables. Stopping at the sandbar sounds like a fun highlight! While we wish you had seen more wildlife, it's wonderful that you still enjoyed the sightings of the hermit crab and fish. We'll take your feedback about the water clarity into consideration. Elizabeth will be delighted to hear your kind words about her guiding. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back for another adventure!

Shortly after we started the wind picked up to 17 mph with 30 mph gusts. Our family was paddling as hard as we could just to avoid getting blown away. It definitely was more work than relaxation. The trip should have definitely been canceled or postponed. Apart from being exhausting, it was a safety issue as well. Getting back to the starting point we had to paddle for dear life to get across the main channel to avoid getting smashed or overturned by speedboats which constantly race through the area. I would definitely check the wind before going out. It was a lot of money to pay for a rigorous workout.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hi,
Thank you for sharing about your experience.
We are sorry to hear the paddle was more difficult than expected.
We monitor winds and weather before and during all tours. We use 7 different winds models to predict and monitor wind speeds. At the time your tour left the dock wind speeds were averaging 9.5 mph when you tour made it back to the dock wind speeds where averaging 11 mph. Your guide reported back saying their were intermittent gusts, but conditions were still safe and favorable for kayaking.
In regards to the boat traffic, it is spring break in the Destin Ft. Walton beach area, therefore we see an increase in people recreating on the waterways. While we do have a short paddle through a water way with boats the majority of our time on the water is spent in the shallows near the spoil islands, which are only deep enough for paddle craft and jet skis. Our guides are highly trained and experienced at navigating the waterways of Okaloosa county.
We take feedback from guests seriously, therefore we reached out to the other individuals on the same tour and they had an enjoyable experience. If you would like to discuss your experience more, please reach out to us.
