It was fun. My husband and I have never kayaked before. They gave simple instructions on how to do it. I'm just not good at it. Still had a great time. The channel is beautiful. Would use this company again.
The write up is much nicer than the actual experience. You are given a tandem sit on top kayak and directed to paddle across the Santa Rosa Sound to an island in the distance. There is not much time in your 2 hour time slot to actually get to the island, explore it and get back. I saw a hermit crab and we saw some Pelicans. That’s about it. Make sure you’re a strong paddler to get across the Sound.
