Disappointing

Palak_J, Jul 2026
The dough and sauce were already prepared and all that was needed to be done was assemble the pizza. They then take it for baking and bring it back plated. Not worth it.

Deep dish

Excellent experience!!!! The staff makes the whole experience wonderful a must if you visit Chicago 1

Fun Family Activity

David_A, Jul 2026
This is a great activity for kids on vacation. Good pace, lots of food for lunch or dinner. What would make this a 5 is if they added sausage to menu vs just pepperoni.

Not a cooking class

Jennifer_H, Jul 2026
This was a personal pan pizza assembly experience, not a cooking class. It was incredibly crowded, and we didn't spend any time discussing how to prepare the dough. Might be fun for families with small children, but more as a craft activity.

Basically a build your own deep dish pizza. They don’t actually teach you but they do give you the recipe for everything to take with you. Overall it was still good and tasty!

Good experience that could have been a great experience.

Evelyn_S, Apr 2026
The class was fun but not really what I expected. A tad pricey for a personal pizza (with veggies or pepperoni) and a glass of wine or a beer. It would have cost less to just dine in. The dough was pre-made, although a recipe was included. So it's not really a pizza "making" class but rather a pizza assembling class. Perhaps offer one class where dough can be made and allowed to ferment for use in the next class, just a suggestion. And allow participants to choose which class they'd like to take. I would have enjoyed a more hands-on experience better and maybe paid a little more. The toppings included veggies and pepperoni so don't expect to assemble a sausage pizza. That won't happen. The reason given was the Board of Health does not allow participants to handle raw pork. Not certain why since any food item can be handled safely - even pork. And gloves are provided. Even if this is true, it should not prevent staff from providing pre-formed, refrigerated pork patties for those who prefer sausage pizza. The Board of Health probably frowns on pork sitting out at room temp as the other ingredients were. Overall, it was still an enjoyable event and I'm happy to have had the experience.

Nice solo experience

I wasn't expecting much interaction with others at my table, but they were cool. Thete were two long rows of tables, so you got up close and personal. Disposable gloves were provided for everyone as food items, with the exception of personal pan dough, were presented family-style. The leaders gave a brief overview of how the restaurants got started and then talked us through the pizza making process. Overall, I had a great time!

The experience was really tasty. Went with my cousin a picky eater - he loved it. Best pizza he ever made.

So glad you enjoyed the class. As we like to say "If you don't like your meal, complain to the chef" :) Thanks for coming out!

Fun experience to get a “taste” of pizza making.

Heather_R, Aug 2025
Not a true pizza making experience. They start you off with a ball of dough in a deep dish pan that’s already been oiled. They do walk you through the steps of how the dough was prepared but this took some of the cooking experience away for me. Your task is to simply spread the dough and then add cheese, sauce, and toppings. The space was ok (two long tables in a separate space from the restaurant dining room). There was one couple who’s showed up and got shoved at a table crammed in between. Seems they still have an issue with overbooking. The servers were helpful and attentive and brought us our drinks quickly. Overall, a fun experience and the pizza tasted great!

Thanks so much for the feedback. We make it as close to a full pizza making experience that you can have. The dough needs to proof to cook properly, so we cannot have you make the dough and use that same dough. The dough ball is to ensure that you get a great pizza eating experience. As for the class size, we plan for certain attendance, but at times people just show up and we don't want to turn people away. Again, we always appreciate the feedback. Glad you enjoyed otherwise!

Great Solo Activity

LOVED. This experience was set up well, our guide was knowledgeable and funny, and the food was great. Could not ask for more. I went solo to this and highly recommend as an activity for solo travelers looking for something to do in the evening.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. We work hard to provide an educational and fun experience - all over a great meal. So glad you enjoyed it.

Don’t do this

Susannah_N, Dec 2024
Awful experience. Walked in and they over booked the event so we were placed at a table next to a big group eating that wasn’t doing the cooking class. We weren’t able to hear the instructions and had to ask multiple times for water. It’s all a cash grab and the instructor wasn’t able to answer any questions.

Response from Host, Jan 2025

So sorry for your experience. The classes can be quite popular and can get crowded. Looks like we could have done a better job at hosting you. We always appreciate feedback so that we can provide an amazing experience.
