The tour around city was great! Driver was fun and informative! Times are wrong on Website. Website said to meet at 2:00pm. Got a call from driver around 12:30. That was okay he was not rushing. However, if we had left at that time we could have made it back in time for the boat tour. Once we finished lunch we got in van, toured city, again it was great. Then we arrived back at harbor to get on boat, it was leaving. Again, we were supposed to get on the 4:00 boat, we got back early at 3:30 and it was leaving dock. Driver seemed shocked, we said it was okay, because there was literally nothing, we could do about it. It was paid for through the website, and the driver did not have the means to refund us. I feel like for $800.00, we should have gotten something as a refund. Not blaming the driver, but the company should know what they are selling before advertising.

We were very fortunate to have a private tour. No one else joined us which is probably due to the time of year …we had a wonderful time. Got to see the best of Boston and ride in comfort, plus end our trip on a wonderful boat ride to see the city from the harbor!!

I confirmed with our tour operator the night before we were due to arrive in Boston. Our Tour guide NEVER showed up. We were at the meeting point for over an hour and a half. We called the 1866 8336855 number several times. We talked to Cynthia and Mathew on several occasions getting different excuses for why our tour guide “David” didn’t show up. Finally we decided to explore Boston by ourselves since it became obvious nobody would give us a straight answer as to why they didn’t show. At least we did get a full refund but it still ruined our day in Boston.

We had one day to tour Boston and selected what I felt was the best tour available. 6 of us were at the pickup point 20 mins early and after a half hour wait I called the dispatcher who told me he would call me back. No response after another half hour. I called again .Another 10 min and I was called back. They apologized and told me they didn’t have anyone to do the tour. They would refund the $1000 deposit. My suggestion for anyone else DONT USE THIS OPERATION FOR YOUR BOSTON TOUR.needs.

Bob gave great insights into the Boston Area. Great history and relevant stories regarding buildings and landmarks. He stopped and helped take pictures at great locations. There was the perfect amount of dad jokes as well.

The driver (guide) did not show up - did not contact me - left me standing outside my hotel from 1:45 to 2:30 - never even bothered to let me know he was never coming. So so disappointed - was my only afternoon in Boston. - chose this tour as so it offered so many sights plus was a van - good choice as I had surgery on my foot and cannot walk long distances. Just standing for 45 minutes was hurtful. Absolutely do NOT book with these people!

Boston is a city rich in history, but I have always found it hard to navigate. This tour covered both while I was able to let someone else do the driving. Our guide, Zach, was a wonderful guide. Though relatively new to the Boston tour business, he knew his stuff and drove the narrow streets like a veteran. The boat tour was informative and, on a perfect weather day, a great hour in the sun. I feel like I know Boston a lot better now.

Henry, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. He covered Boston from The Puritans to The Big Dig. He more than made up for the so-so harbor cruise. And to top it off, his restaurant referral in Little Italy led us to the best meal we've had on our trip.

We paid $169 for each of us , sitting in a 7seater mini van ,couldn’t see much from where we’re sitting , the guy just drove around ,did not stop anywhere not even for a minute , couldn’t take even one photo . It was waste of time and money

Our tour guide Bob was a great guy. Instantly likeable. Real Boston! He obviously has a lifelong affection for the city, and this came across in his commentary. He took us to all the main tourist sites and we found ourselves with a wish list of places at which to spend more time. He pointed out places that we would have blinked and missed and ensured that we saw the top ten must see historical locations. We loved his easy going nature, knowledge and enthusiasm. The trip ended at Boston Harbour with a lovely boat ride to Charlestown Naval Yard in beautiful late summer sunshine. Bob was very punctual and was outside our hotel at Copley Square bang on time. Without his input we would not have had such a rewarding stay in Boston - which is now our favourite US city.

Our guide Henry was amazing . Such in-depth knowledge and detail about all aspects of Boston (current, historical past, and cultural!). This was a great way to ride around to a variety of key landmarks and also have the ability to ask questions since it’s a very small group. A highlight of our trip to New England!

It went not as the ad described: 1. It’s only a little over 3 hours tour rather than 5 hours. 2. There is no boat cruise as the title says. We rode in the van driving through Boston for :sight seeing” without any stopping except at Harvard campus and USS constitution. We booked for two people and it charged $438… could be the most disproportionally expensive tour we have ever signed up through Viator. the only cost included is aquarium admission fee, $34/each person. On the other hand, the driver/guide Bob is funny and very knowledgeable!

BUYER BEWARE. As a frequent traveler for work, I have had the opportunity to experience numerous tours in various cities. Unfortunately, my recent encounter with the Best of Boston Small Group Tour fell short of expectations. The tour, which was priced over $1000, was advertised as a comprehensive 5-hour experience that included a promised harbor cruise. Regrettably, the actual tour lasted only 3 hours and did not feature the expected harbor cruise. This deviation from the advertised itinerary was particularly disappointing considering that there were no apparent unexpected delays or adverse weather conditions that could have justified such omissions.
In stark contrast to this disappointing experience, the following day we participated in the Boston Food and History Private Tour, which was priced at $1100, and it surpassed all expectations, marking it as one of the best tours we've ever experienced.
Despite the unmet promises of the Best of Boston Small Group Tour, our request for a partial refund due to the incomplete tour was denied. As a result, I intend to escalate this issue by reporting it to my credit card company and lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
It's essential for tour operators to uphold the integrity of their advertised services and provide transparent and fulfilling experiences for their customers. I hope that sharing this feedback will encourage the tour operator to reassess their practices and strive for improved customer satisfaction in the future.
