15-20minute walk form Kailua-Kona pier. Walk towards the Kona Brewing stainless steel kettle. Go up stairs and past Puna Chocolate Co. At street go left. We are at Kona Town Storage on left. (GOOGLE MAPS WILL TAKE YOU THE LONGER WALK AROUND THE BLOCK. USE STAIRS BY STAINLESS STEEL KETTLE.)

- Yellow "Tang", Blue "Mako" and Red "Tiki" are STANDARD/STICK-SHIFT TRANSMISSIONS transmissions. Green "Honu" is the only fully automatic transmission.
- What is required in order to rent a buggy?
- 1. Be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
- 2. Full coverage personal auto insurance required or you can purchase from RENTALCOVER.COM BOTH Supplemental Liability and Collision Damage Waiver i
- 3. Be present at the time of the rental to complete contract.
- 4. All drivers must be registered on the rental contract.
- 5. One registered driver will also need to Authorize Use of a credit card for purchase of optional insurance policy deductible, if accident occurs and /or any other incidentals.
- Can the Buggy be taken off road?
- No, our buggies are only allowed on paved roadways and parking lots. Our buggies are equipped with GPS tracking devices, so we will be notified as soon as the buggy enters onto a dirt or lava road. There is a $500.00 charge for attempting "off road" excursions.
- How Many People Can Fit in a Buggy?
- We offer 2 and 4 seater options for your convenience.
- What is the Cancellation Policy?
- 1. Cancellation within 24 hours of your reservation are non-refundable.
- 2. Due to inclement weather, we would make a decision for the refund the day of the rental. Please keep in mind that showers and storms will blow in and blow out quickly.
- Let us know what you need, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
- Need to be able to lift leg 30" over side of buggy to be seated.
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

We were out for 6 hours drove from Kona to Hilo. Had a great lunch and saw the water falls. Aaron and Debi are great people and showed us where to go to see the falls. Very friendly and happy.

Super fun island tour maybe the best way to drive around the island great dune buggy comfortable seating felt very safe ran great super efficient on gas mileage and we drove around for nearly 5 hours and just had a fantastic time. Highly recommended. This is the best way to see the island.

Family owned and ran operation. Delivered our buggy right to our condo/Air BNB with a smile and lots of recommendations. We rented “Tang” the yellow manual transmission buggy, it was so much fun! The buggies have covers in case of rain, but we didn’t need it. Worth every penny, my husband LOVED driving Tang around the island. We will be doing this again.

We took the buggy down to the pier. There you will found local boutiques, souvenirs, and the beach. It’s good on gas and the people delivering the buggy’s are knowledgeable of the area if you have any questions.

The buggy was so much fun! Definitely recommend if you are staying in Kona! They picked us up from our resort so that was a huge plus! Super gas efficient we did a lot and it barely waisted any gas! Customer service was 100/10 super friendly staff who event recommended us snorkeling spots!

Renting these dune buggies was REALLY fun. Our family rented (2) of these for (4) hours. Wish we would of rented them for the entire day ! The couple that owns the business was so so helpful telling us what places were worth driving to. Gave us a. list by e-mail prior to our trip which really help navigate where to go and what to do.
Boy did we ever get the looks driving on Kona in town and around the beaches.
Worth every penny - one of the best excursions we did in Hawaii !

This was an amazing experience. Communication from the very beginning was fantastic. We flew in for the day and was met at the airport with the buggy mere minutes away. We rented for 8 hours and loved every minute of it. I wish there was the option to rate them above 5 stars as that is how great they were.

Why rent a boring rental car when you can rent a buggy!

My husband and I rented a buggy for a date adventure while in Kona. We had an amazing day. We drove up towards Captain Cook, ate lunch at a coffee shop, toured a coffee farm, and visited a few antique stores. The 4 hour block was perfect for us. Debi & Aaron (the owners) were amazing! We would do this again!

We had a great time cruising around the Kona side of the Big Island for 4 hours. It was well worth the time and money. We suggest wearing shoes if you’re going to drive any buggy that has a stick shift.

It was a really fun time. The owners gave us a map and gave suggestions of things to see and do so we could see what things we wanted to see at our own pace. The buggy was open air so we could see everything. When we got back the owners were so accommodating and drove us to the ship to make sure we got back in time. Thank you Unique Buggy Rentals

What a way to tour Kona!! Aaron and Penny were accommodating providing my wife and I with the must see beaches, snorkeling spots and scenic sites. Driving around the Kona area with the sun and warm breeze, these buggies are street legal, fast and a lot of fun to drive. Cooler, beach chairs, umbrella and blue tooth speaker were included which were used constantly. We rented for 4 hours but needed to tag on extra time because we were having so much fun!! We highly recommend this experience!!!

We booked two buggy's and owner Aaron was in contact by text from day one. We arrived in port from Norwegians "Pride of America" a little early and Aaron and his wife were there within 15 minutes to drop off buggy's. Pick up is in walking distance from ship. Buggy's included: cooler, towels, umbrella, beach chairs, and a blue tooth speaker. We drove all over the island and had a lot of people asking where we rented them. There is no other excursion like this on the island. It's not offered through the ship which keeps the cost so reasonable. This was one of our highlights of our trip and

We booked the car several weeks in advance. Aaron was very prompt and helpful in getting the proper documents needed for the car. He also offered us suggestions of where to go. His recommendation for a beach was wonderful. He met us at a restaurant near the pier where we got of the boat. It was well worth having the beach chairs, umbrella and towels. It was a great ride and wonderful experience for my daughter and me.

This was SO MUCH FUN! Aaron and Debi were very easy to work with. Everything with this reservation went according to plan. We had a great time driving around the west side of the Big Island, in the sunshine, with the top down. Lots of people were jealous!
