This luau was a great addition to our family vacation! The activities before the event were fun for our 7 year old. There was a large grassy area where our toddlers could run. The food was delicious and plentiful. The show was entertaining for all of us! Would highly recommend. 👍

You will have a decent time but not necessarily what I would call an authentic luau. It does not convey the depth of cultural relevance as other luaus however, it was decent.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Mahalo for your feedback. We're sorry your experience was not a more positive one - our team works hard to share the culture and history of the islands with aloha, and we're sorry to hear this did not resonate with you. Your feedback will be shared with our team so that we can continue to evaluate and improve the experience for our guests in the future.

Awesome food awesome experience awesome performance. I had no complaints about anything on my plate or anything I saw on stage!!

Enjoyed it very much. Well done. Great food, drinks and show. The surrounding area at Fairmount Orchid was so beautiful.
Kelley_M, Dec 2025
The food was amazing. The service next level and the show top notch. A perfect way to celebrate Christmas Eve!
Brook_A, Dec 2025
Good. But not as good as last year. They seemed to have packed more tables and people in and got rid of the games and interactive activities that the kids enjoyed.
All the performers were great, but it’s hard for the crowd to match the hype of the mc for the
fire dancers ha ha
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Aloha and mahalo for sharing your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the experience overall, but sorry to hear that we did not live up to the prior experience you had with our 'ohana. The games and activities are indeed still part of the evening - we're so sorry you missed them! Your feedback will be shared with our team so that we can continue to improve.

Was AWESOME! Fantastic show, food, and view. This luau is a must see. We watched the sunset, explored the beach, had amazing food and drinks and learned so much about Hawaiian culture!

So worth the money, the staff is extremely friendly, so are the new friends that you will meet as visitors to the beautiful island.

This was a great tour. Our guide, Bret, was OUTSTANDING! He was informative, friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond when it came to ensuring we were getting the most out of the tour. We were fortunate to see the volcano begin to fountain, and Bret made sure we had the best vantage point. He even played his ukulele while we enjoyed lunch at the volcano sight. From the coffee plantation to the volcano, waterfalls and scenic overlooks, this tour had it all. We can't thank Bret enough for providing an entertaining tour.
Makala Bret!!

Loved the Luau! The Tahitian dancers and the Samoan fire show were our favorite.
Open bar was good and there were plenty of good food items to choose from - pork, chicken, shrimp, ahi, and more.
Definitely one of the better luaus we have been to.

It was a great experience thank you something that my family will never forget. Family reunion was a wonderful event.
Manny_G, Aug 2025
Incredible experience, amazing food and activities before the luau. The luau was beautiful and we learned so much about the culture behind it. The scenery was absolutely perfect, and breath taking. I would highly recommend this luau.
Jennifer_K, Jul 2025
Excellent experience. The show was fantastic and the food was exceptionally good for a buffet experience. Highly recommend!!
Christina_B, Jul 2025
Food, laughter, lessons of Hawaiian history, and an unforgettable sunset filled our evening during the Luau. Open bar and a small crowd made this night even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend as a first luau or even 200th luau!
Jasimine_S, Jul 2025
Was such an amazing experience! I definitely recommend bringing your family. It was worth every penny!

We really enjoyed the storytelling by the host; lovely speaking and singing voice!
Loved being taught hula. Lots of fun.
Beautiful dancing performances. Entrancing movement.
Fire dancer was very impressive!
The food was excellent! (Way better than a previous luau we’d attended!) Well set out, many yummy options. Open bar is always nice.
The tattoo thing was cute for kids but not very impressive for adults.
Be prepared for quite a walk from the parking lot to the actual luau area, roughly .25 mile; drop less agile folks at the valet drop-off area.
We’ve done a different luau on Oahu. I realize things differ. We did this one because our 16- and 21yo hadn’t been before.
This show could have used some humor. Our prior luau also told the story of all the individual groups who had emigrated here; I know you can’t give the entire history in such a short time, but some wider background would have been nice.
Photos: The photos taken as we entered were very well done. But they require you to buy the hard copy by 7 pm or lose that option. The app didn’t actually give us that options over the 6 o’clock hour, and when my husband asked one of the photogs, she disappeared. We did buy the digital and will have it printed elsewhere. But it shouldn’t be offered and pushed if you can’t actually do it.
This luau would also have benefited from some souvenir vendors and/or someone teaching a native craft, like palm weaving. If any of that was happening, we didn’t see or hear about it.
We would have given this a 3.5, but that’s not possible, so we jumped to a 4. A good luau for folks who haven’t done one before or those who are there for the really good food!!!

It was good... backdrop and stage appearance not the best but good.. food was not bad, I would go back. Fire dance was very good.
Joanna_C, Jul 2025
Was a great experience - very entertaining and food was delicious! I do wish there was lei making available. Entertainment was perfection!
David_A, Jul 2025
It was a wonderful time as a family. Unfortunately it rained and they had to move the event in doors. While we were disappointed, the crew and performers made the adjustments needed for all of us to have an amazing cultural experience!
Elda_R, Jul 2025
My family was so excited for the luau and pork and we received one small piece of pork and the luau was indoors :(
Thomas_M, Jun 2025
Valet is not free. $15 per vehicle plus tip.
Food was average. Looks like a lot of options however it’s just the same food repeated on multiple tables. Performance was only 45 minutes.
Bethany_L, Jun 2025
Spectacular dinner experience & performances! Be sure to add it to your Big Island Bucket List. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Allison_R, Apr 2025
We really enjoyed the story telling portion of the presentation and the overall presentation. The fire dancer was amazing.
Glen_B, Apr 2025
This is a picture perfect luau. I live on the Big Island and I can attest to the authenticity of the experience. And it was just plain fun. Most lusus bring out the fire immediately—meaning instead of featuring hula —the actual dance of Hawaii—they bring out torch dancers. Here there was a wonderful dancer with a torch toward the end but they put it in the context of the Polynesian journey from Tahiti and the Marquesas. But the emphasis was on local dance, music and huka all in a gloriously beautiful lawn setting. We were blessed with a full moon. The music was of the highest caliber. Tight harmonies and beautiful voices. Beautiful girls and handsome guys as well of course. The food got rave reviews from my crankiest and most picky visitor. Unlimited buffet with something very everyone. And somehow they injected the proceedings with genuine aloha. I came away with new friends. An absolutely enchanting evening very much worth the cost of admission. They even give you valet parking.

It was a quality production at a beautiful location and the food was very tasty. Our seats were okay.
Stacy_V, Mar 2025
We had a wonderful time. Staff was courteous and friendly. Definitely a must go if you have never Ben to a luah
Randee_M, Mar 2025
Not a bad view in the house! Everything was well organized lots of little experiences leading up to the big show. Food was excellent. I felt like there was no waiting. Lots of staff ready and able to help. Very friendly.
