Incredible!!!!! I was sad when it was over

Probably our favorite experience in Rome! Of course the Vatican, and Chapels were indescribable, our tour guide, Iman, really made the experience above and beyond. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I’m not usually one to write reviews, but on this one I feel it was necessary. Not only was Iman very knowledgeable, but he took the time to get to know everyone in our group, making everyone (even the kids) feel very included, was very funny, we never felt rushed, and best of all his passion for ancient Roman and biblical history was felt deeply. After doing other tours in Rome, it truly is important as to who is giving your tour. Iman really couldn’t have made our experience any better.

The guided tour is not only recommended, but needed in my opinion. Juliana was so knowledgeable and gave so many nuggets of information we could not have attained without a guide. Her dry sense of humor added enjoyment to the whole tour. This, along with her experience of the Vatican, put us at such ease and made navigating the Vatican effortless! Dress for the occasion. Check the weather and wear very comfortable shoes and get ready to have the time of your life! I can just tell you our tour guide Sarah was phenomenal. And I have to give a shout out to the bus driver. He sure knows how to handle that vehicle. Never felt nervous or worried at any point or time. I'm just telling you the whole experience was fantastic! I do it again and again. I'm bringing my family back in October more than likely the 12 of us will all do it then. I'm bringing my wife with our sons and their wives and my grandchildren.

Made for a fun evening

We had only one night in Rome before boarding ship and this was by far a great way to get a taste of Rome! Otherwise, how would you pick a place for dinner with so many choices?! This tour made it easy and was very interesting and fun. Wonderful food and our guide, Valentina, was great. You could tell she loved her job and was very knowledgeable and kind.

Colosseum Underground is spectacular!

The tour overall was great. We first kicked off with the Ancient Roman tour of the ruins which was fabulous but rushed. We didn’t start on time and with tourists only having a 90 minute window to be in the ruins we were there less than that and then rushed out to ensure we got back for the Colosseum tour. The guide was good but didn’t blow me away and was sometimes hard to understand. The handover from this guide to the Colosseum tour wasn’t great and as a group we didn’t know where to go. Luckily a person in the group helped us navigate inside the Colosseum. The Colosseum Underground tour was brilliant and the tour guide Lorena was amazing. She is a historian and she was so engaging and knowledgeable. The underground was 100% worth it, it’s spectacular and you get clear entry as part of this tour at the next level up without all the crowds. I’d recommend this for the Colosseum Underground tour.

Really good information...

Really good information received pre tour with very good directions to find office for meeting point instructions. Thought the id sticker is brilliant idea. Was easy to find your group members. Roberto was a wonderful guide. Was so pleased we had skip the line. It made such a difference. Only minor queue and then we were through. Roberto kept us in his sights and our sticker number helped as it was very busy the day we went. Could hear Roberto clearly through headset. Really informative tour and Roberto clearly had a passion for the amazing art, sculpture and history of our surroundings. Great experience.

Highly recommend. Our tour guide, Andrew led us on a very informative tour of both the Colosseum and the forum. The tour lasted about 3 hours and we couldn’t imagine doing what we did on our own. There is so much to see and learn at both places that doing it on your own would have been too overwhelming. Plus you get to access both through the guided tour line which cuts down on the amount of time you wait in line. After the tour ended, you get the opportunity to explore the forum on your own, but honestly after 3 hours, we were ready for lunch and an aperitivo. It’s nice to have that option though. Well worth the time and money!

A MUST for first-timers to Rome

Checking in process was very easy. Our guide was amazing - so enthusiastic, friendly and informative. A guided tour is the only way to navigate the crowds and queues. Only thing to note is that on Wednesdays, St Peter's Basilica is closed to all tours until 1 pm due to a public mass. Therefore only the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel were included. This was not noted anywhere when booking so we went back to the tour operator (Choice Tours) who kindly gave us an entry ticket to the Basilica (entrance to St. Peter's Square is free) . It wasn't linked to tour but we were just happy to get in to see it.
