Very Interesting

We really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Max was entertaining and well versed in the areas we visited. He also handled things well when there was an electrical problem at the Forum and they evacuated all visitors about half way through our time at that particular site. Because of this, Max had to improvise with what to do with his group of about 20 until our entrance time into the Colosseum which he did by taking us for a walk and continuing to tell more stories of the Forum and Colosseum. The Colosseum portion of the tour was very interesting and I would recommend paying extra money to get to the various levels. The only criticism I have is that (as far as I recall) we were not told our ticket could be used the next day for entrance into the Foro Di Nerva. We happened onto this by trying to access the same day there was the electrical problem at the Forum. We ended up going back the next day and doing a 4+ hr self tour of the active archeological site plus had full access to the Forum which we weren’t able to see the day before

Our tour was absolutely amazing. Vita, our tour guide, was so kind and knowledgeable during our time with her. She answered everyone’s questions as they came up and provided so much information on everything we saw. We did the underground as part of our tour and this was probably our favorite part of the entire tour itself. Seeing this area and learning more about it was amazing. We cannot recommend this tour and Vita our guide enough!

Deborah was an amazing...

Deborah was an amazing guide and we really were in good hands on our VIP small group tour. You wouldn’t think the earpiece radios made for a good tour but you would be wrong! It felt intimate even with thousands around and Deborah showed and explained the highlights very well. Instead of shouting it was like having a conversation and we were front row to awe inspiring views and art. 10/10!

Chiara - is an awesome guide!!

Chiara was an amazing tour guide!! She was friendly, passionate, knowledgeable and informative, it was evident she loves what she does. Due to the crowds the tour took a little longer than planned however Chiara spent the extra time because she wanted the group to get the best experience. We have done many tours in multiple counties utilizing Viator app and she was by far the best guide we have had. In addition to her knowledge and passion she was patient, understanding and flexible in adjusting to mobility of the group. The only bad part of the tour was when we had to say goodbye, we would have loved to have her spend the rest of the day showing us more of the city!! Chiara is an amazing guide!!

This tour said it was going to be approx. 3 hours, however, due to the sheer business of this place, it was 5 + hours. Our tour guide ended the tour at St. Peters Basilica and gave us a run down of it and then left us to walk around at our will, which was great, but the time spent there added to the 5 hours we already spent walking the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. My advise: book this tour because it is very informative BUT make sure you eat before hand (or take snacks to munch on when you get hungry) and make sure you do not have any other appointments/tours that day because it is an all day affair.

Best Tour Ever!!!

We had an absolutely incredible time touring the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum through the eyes, expertise, and experience of this tour/guide. Our guide, Nick, could not have been better. Hilariously funny and easy going while also incredibly insightful and knowledgeable. His passion for this era of history clearly shines through in how he brought current and relevant historical findings to update how people viewed historical figures and places. Getting to experience this wonder through this tour truly makes you feel like you’re back in time!

Exceptional Tour Experience

Our tour guide was exceptional; very knowledgeable and a nice sense of humour. The tour was a small group, well paced and the guide explained what to expect. Although the tour was 3 hours, it felt shorter and we had some time at the end to spend in the Basilica on our own. Would highly recommend this tour to others.

One of the highlights of our Italy trip!

Riccardo was fantastic! We had a group of 7 total plus Riccardo and it was very intimate and we got to know each other. Riccardo took us to 6 or 7 places where we tried various foods and wines/drinks. Some were stops to just get samples and some were sit down type meals. Excellent information, Riccardo was fun, and really got to know each of us and what we wanted to get out of the evening. Trastevere is an adorable neighborhood so it was cool to see the area and people/vibe. Loved every minute, highly recommend!

Do it!

Very informative! Our guide Christina is an archeologist by profession and has worked at Pompei excavating. She is extremely knowledgeable as a historian and was totally geeking out in all of the best ways possible. She was extremely enthusiastic and informative giving us information on even the smallest details. I have done this tour 3x in my life and she taught me things I’ve never learned. We spent 2 hours in the Colosseum alone and she took us to areas where we could get the best pictures. Overall well worth the tour if you have any interest in seeing the Colosseum arena level, upper areas as well as the surrounding Ancient Rome. My son and I unfortunately cut our tour short because we had a plane to catch but don’t hesitate to book this!

A wonderful experience—an evening tour of lesser-known spots. With our amazing guide Karim, we managed to visit so many places. Pizza, beer, and dancing near the Colosseum. Well worth the money!

This was a great tour of the Vatican and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was easy to find the meeting place, as it was at the Crown office and the walk to the Vatican was short. It was well worth it to get the skip-the-line tickets as others had been waiting hours to get in and we went to the front of the line. This was our second tour arranged through Viatour and both were wonderful.
