Wonderful tour

My partner picked out this activity. I was a little hesitant about it, but it was a very interesting tour. Cat (I believe was short for Catarina) was a great guide. She was easy to understand and shared some great info about the crypts and catacombs. One thing I wish that I had read the fine print earlier…since you enter churches on the tour, they request you cover knees and shoulders. My daughter and I ended up tying our sweaters/jackets around our legs to cover our knees. My fault for not reading the tour details when we received them.

Patricia and Maxi were incredible. Patricia kept us informed throughout the entire journey and provided so many facts. Our tour guide in Pompeii was kind and kept the group entertained. Additionally, our bus driver, Maxi, kept us safe the entire way. This was my first visit to Italy and the Italians drive absolutely insane. Maxi easily handled city traffic, highway traffic, and the narrow, cliffside roads along the Amalfi Coast. I am a solo traveler and this was a perfect tour.

Absolutely the best way to see Rome! Marco made sure to ask if there were specific things we wanted to see and made sure he accommodated us. All the drivers were very pleasant and made the experience fun for my kids. Lots of historical context included with the sightseeing made this a must-do activity!

Great Day Trip from Rome!

What an amazing experience! City Wonders provided a great round trip tour guide with Rob, an excellent driver with Dan, and a wonderful Pompeii tour guide with Roberto! Rob provided great details on the drive there and back about Pompeii, Italian history, and Rome. He was so excited the whole trip which makes a long drive a little better! Roberto gave us a walk through of Pompeii with a range of information regarding the eruption, city life, and current excavations. We saw the highlight, but Pompeii is HUGE! It would take days to explore all the city in detail! Lunch was also a delicious stop at Kona. The pizza was so fresh and it was a nice break between Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Mt Vesuvius was such a cool hike! About 20 minutes to the top and such beautiful views of the Bay of Naples from there. It is definitely a good little hike too! Just be prepared for a gravelly incline! Great day trip from Rome and would highly recommend it to all!

Great experience!

People complain that it's a long day but that's known when booking this excursion. It's a 13-14 hour day, which is expected since we are going to Positano and Pompei. I wouldn't spend more than a day in Positano so this was a great way for us to see it. Our guide Michaela was wonderful and kind, also very knowledgeable. Bring snacks but there is time to get lunch in Positano if going to the beach isn't your main focus. We ate at Posides and it was AMAZING. One of the best meals on our 2 week Italy trip. Small, local restaurant ran by 2 brothers cooking up fresh, healthy, whole food meals. Amazing! Each stop wasn't too long/short and had enough breaks so it wasn't uncomfortable but also didn't drag on.

Amazing experience!!

We had a fantastic day with our very knowledgeable tour guide Debra who took charge of the day. We skipped every line and got in very easy. She was excellent. Unfortunately we did not see St. Peter’s Basilica on the Saturday before Easter due to preparation for Easter mass which was understandably I just wish they told us before hand so check calendar of the official site to make sure. However overall this was an amazing experience Sistine Chapel is incredible. And you can stay as long as you like after the tour is over.

A taste of Pompeii and Sorrento.....

My family of three enjoyed this trip with our guide, Mikkela who was very friendly, kind, knowledgeable and a very fast walker. Set your expectations correctly for this trip and you will enjoy it. This was our first visit to Pompeii, and it was very interesting and impressive. We didn't realize the city was so vast. The time spent here was jam packed. The Pompeii specific guide mentioned one could spend 2-3 days and 4-5 hours per day since there is so much to see. The tour guide provided a timesaving option for a take-out pizza lunch to eat on the bus after the Pompeii visit. We opted for this and shared a pizza which was just ok and enough to keep away any hunger pains. The Limoncello factory 15-minute stop was not of interest to us, so we took pictures of the Sorrento coast and had a lemonade slushie (delicious) rather than tasting the liquors and candy. This was also our first visit to Sorrento so for this stop we followed the guide down to get a view of the beach and then my husband and I relaxed on a terrace with a drink and enjoyed the view. My daughter did some window shopping in the town. We were fortunate to take this tour in March when the weather is nice but it is not peak season when Sorrento would be so crowded. The tour was well organized and fast paced. The bus was comfortable for the 12-hour trip and the driver very professional.

Great guides! I can't recall their names but both guides were extremely educational, knowledgeable, entertaining, and just a great experience overall. It was a bit challenging getting from one tour to the next, and trying to eat lunch as well, but we made it, with 10 minutes to spare.

Rome in a Day

Picked up at the Hotel lobby at 8:30am by a driver. The car was very clean and the driver very kind. Drove us to the Vatican to meet our tour guide. The guide walked us through the Vatican with ease and hit all the highlites. Following the Vatican tour we headed to see more sites of Rome, hitting all the hot spots. Lunch was included and then off to the Colosseum. It was a long day of about 8 hours but it was a great way to see all of Rome sites in one day.

Interesting tour, and a way to see Rome at night feeling a little more secure. Our guide Semi was terrific. Informative and energetic. Also, he started the tour walking very briskly, and when I asked him to modify his pace for older folks in our group, he was very accommodating. Excellent guide for the tour.
