The guide (Nuno) was fantastic and the area beautiful. Great wines, just ask to visit Fonseca and skip Bacalhao. The owners collection of racially insensitive art and the guides terrible jokes about them were disgraceful. Our guide took care of all our requests and made suggestions along the way.

Super fun! Nuno Henriques was an amazing guide, and was so knowledgeable about the areas we visited. I enjoyed getting to see a variety of sights including Sesimbra, and the wineries were both well worth the trip! We got back to Lisbon around 18h, so plan for it to be a whole day.

Excellent Ride and Knowledgeable Guide

Convenient meeting spot is just a couple minute stroll from the pier where our Liberty of the Seas cruise ship docked. Tony is the finest guide and made this our most favorite excursion in years. He described culture and history in a way that gave me a real understanding. Excellent fun!

Pedro was the best guide ever!

We had an amazing wine tasting tour with Pedro, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Pedro was incredibly knowledgeable about Portuguese wines, the history behind them, and the winemaking process. He explained everything in a way that was informative, engaging, and easy to understand. Beyond his expertise, Pedro was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to spend time with. His great sense of humor kept the group entertained, and he went above and beyond by taking wonderful photos of my friend and me throughout the tour. As a special surprise, he even created a beautiful photo montage afterward, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Pedro’s passion for sharing his knowledge and ensuring everyone had a fantastic experience truly stood out. My adult daughter and I...

My adult daughter and I had a great experience on this tour and would highly recommend it! The food was delicious and more than enough to fill us up. Information was interesting and covered a lot of subject matter. Stops could be a bit long if you don’t consider yourself a “history person” though. Our tour guide Joanna did a wonderful job of fostering a good group dynamic and making each person on the tour feel listened to and cared for. My daughter has a food allergy that conflicted with several dishes on the route, and Joanna kindly orchestrated changes to make sure she still had a good experience.

Wonderful Experience!

We booked the afternoon tour so that we could have an earlier dinner ahead of our early morning the next day. Pedro and Pedro were a fantastic team. They were highly attentive and great at making us comfortable and the experience very enjoyable. They were full of history and we learned so much (and saved our legs from a trip to Belem and sites in that area). I highly recommend, especially if it is your first time to Lisbon and you have limited time like us!

Lovely trip, Manuel is...

Lovely trip, Manuel is super knowledgeable and his English is great, making the journey interesting and obviously very beautiful. The wine was delicious, a Vinho Verde. My only issue is the snacks were slightly disappointing. We had some chorizo slices, cheese slices and crackers. They were nice but for the price, I would have potentially liked a range of cheese and meats.

Great day in the countryside, exploring wine and history!

This was a private tour that met all expectations. Two unique and different wineries plus a tasting at a spot in one of the rows that gave a great variety. John very knowledgeable and hospitable. The snack plate at the 2nd winery was enough to satisfy with local meats and cheeses plus great wines. If you are looking for some time outside of Lisbon this is a great day with very personal attention. Appreciated all John’s efforts, he was a great guide! Wines were lovely!

Good trip , good value.

The departure point of the trip changed but the vendor kept us fully informed. The trip was enjoyed by all in our party and the wine offered was pretty tasty too. The PA system was not working on the boat , so no commentary during the trip but that did not bother our party . All in all , worth the money. We had a great sunset too.

Lisbon Riders is great!! We would book more tours with them.

When you read reviews you don’t really get a sense of the tour company. I wish we’d had tours with Lisbon Riders - and our guide Kat! - earlier on in our visit because we would have booked all our tours with them! They were excellent. Our guide Kat was incredible- so knowledgeable, fun, easy going, and we had such a great day.

Great wine tasting experience

Great wine testing coupled with a fantastic story about Porto's wine and its historical background, alongside with what you should eat to get the best tasting combination possible. You get to taste 3 wines, a great dry white wine and 2 red wines. They tasted so good I ended up buying one :)
