What are people saying about Costa Rica

Great experience - perfect way to spend a morning.
This was better than I thought. I was worried it might be a very busy and crazy boat that may lead to a loud unenjoyable experience. But it was great! They did not over book so it wasn't crowded. The staff was attentive and personable. We saw dolphins, did some snorkeling and enjoyed a swim. The only downside it that the waterslides are a bit steep, you've got to be a thriller seeker to enjoy them. My teenage daughters were really looking forward to sliding into the ocean but opted out of this piece of the trip once we saw the slides in person and saw other passengers shooting off the boat!

Incredible
We had such an incredible day. Our guide Felix was very knowledgeable and passionate about all the wildlife. He pointed out sloths, monkeys, spiders, birds, lizards and crabs. I would NOT visit the park without a guide. We have have missed most of the animals we saw.

"Our mangrove tour with...
"Our mangrove tour with Rudolfo was nothing short of spectacular. From the very beginning, his expertise and passion for the ecosystem were evident. He has an incredible eye for detail, pointing out a diverse range of animals that we definitely would have missed on our own. Not only was he a fountain of knowledge, but he also went above and beyond by capturing high-quality photos of the wildlife and our group, ensuring we had perfect memories to take home.
Beyond his technical skills, Rudolfo is a truly pleasant and kind individual. His English is excellent, making communication effortless and the entire experience educational and engaging. It is rare to find a guide who combines professional expertise with such a warm, welcoming personality. He turned a simple boat ride into an unforgettable adventure. If you are looking for an amazing experience in the mangroves, Rudolfo is the man to see—he is simply the best!"

Amazing catamaran ride! Perfect excursion!!!
Overall this excursion was exactly as advertised! I've been on some misleading adventures before, so it was refreshing to have this excursion check all the boxes! The crew were amazing! The drinks, music playlist and food were all perfect for the atmosphere! We were lucky enough to spot dolphins and the crew took their time to track them and make sure everyone had multiple sightings! The slide was fast and the jumping platform was high! I loved it, my Boys' (4 and 6) loved watching me use them! Just a little too crazy for them haha. The swimming session was amazing! My 6 year old was actually stung by a tiny jellyfish which no one even noticed. It wasn't until a crew member heard him complaining of a hurt neck that it was figured out! He promptly got some vinegar, sprayed it on his neck and it felt better instantly! Thank you!
I can't remember the names of the crew, I just know there were 2 Diegos! They were all fantastic! They kept the energy high and the vibes strong! It was absolutely perfect in every way, including the Flamingo Marina being very clean and having great washroom access. The catamaran actually had a couple of urinals and toilets which is great compared to others I've been on in the past! Keep up the great work!

So much wildlife
Daniel was amazing ! (I hope i remembered his name correctly) such a cool guide! I am amazed by how good his eyes were for spotting the animals. I thought it was also really cool that his mom was a guide and that's how he became one too! We saw sloths, ao many lizards and Toucans and it was just such a cool expirence. He waa so friendly and did a great job making sure everyone saw the animals and got pictures with the scope. Definitely recommend

Amazing time. Fun and adventurous.
The waterfall tour was so fun, we went with Joshua. He kept us laughing and of course safe the whole time. He was very good with kids as well. He gave good instructions on the hike. He took pictures with his own phone and sent it to us afterward. It was overall the best tour I have done on any trip.

Noland and André's 10hr tour
Noland was very informative and kept us entertained. He took us to the waterfall and to the base of the volcano. André took us on the tour of the hanging bridges where he was able to spot a yellow eyelash viper and a Rufus mutmut which were very cool to see. The 10-hour tour was well worth the money and very fun.

My boyfriend won’t shut up about the tour lol
My boyfriend was not as excited for this excursion due to it being “just a chocolate and coffee tour” but now he won’t shut up about it lol. We had a great time, the tour was quite informative and personal. We toured the site, ate different fruits and chocolate-covered fruits, drank coffee and hot chocolate. We learned about cacao, the process of making coffee and my boyfriend (avid coffee drinker) says he has a newfound greater appreciation for coffee and the effort that goes into making it. Like I said, he now won’t shut up lol. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Monteverde cloudforest
Top attraction of Monteverde. We had a truly beautiful experience. We saw cappuccino monkeys, quetzals, coatis and various types of vegetation. It was absolutely worth taking the guide; you would miss so many things without one. We also took a tour to the hummingbird garden. Kids loved it. Take a rain Jacket and wear water proof shoes. It’s very wet trail but definitely worth checking out.

It’s going to be okay my friend
White water rafting in La Fortuna was easily one of the top five experiences of my life. If you are anywhere near La Fortuna, rafting is a must. The scenery alone is worth it. Lush jungle the entire way, monkeys in the trees, exotic birds flying overhead, and even cows casually hanging out along the riverbanks. It felt wild and untouched but somehow peaceful at the same time.
Our guides, Cuca Daveed, were incredible. He constantly pointed out wildlife, made sure everyone felt comfortable, and really understood people’s individual limitations. At the beginning they go through detailed safety instructions, and I will admit that if you are already nervous it can sound intense. Do not let that scare you. It is purely to prepare you. Once you are actually on the river, it is very doable. They are professionals and you genuinely feel safe the entire time. They even have medical rafts for assistance, and if you carry an EpiPen (like me) for emergency medication, the captain of your raft will hold it securely for you.
One very important tip. Use the bathroom before you depart. There is about a one hour and forty five minute drive to the river, and there is no bathroom when you first arrive. You can go before leaving town and again after rafting before the drive back, but once you are on the river, which is about two to three hours, you are committed. Plan accordingly.
After rafting, they take you to eat and the food was AMAZING. Fresh, filling, and exactly what you want after being out on the water.
I had a slightly embarrassing moment when tipping because I remembered the medic’s name but blanked on my raft captain’s name.PThey handled it so kindly. No awkwardness, no pressure. They even explained that tips are shared among the team. Costa Rican culture is very Pura Vida and not pushy at all, but please tip. They work extremely hard and truly care about your experience.
If you are debating it because you are scared, do it anyway. It is thrilling without feeling reckless, adventurous without feeling unsafe, and something you will remember forever. I would absolutely do it again.

Says 4 in 1 but it’s only 3 activities.
Full day of touring. Never felt rushed. Two guides for our group because it was fairly large (12 ppl). Guides were knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. Van was comfortable, with AC, and there was space for our belongings. Guides brought walking sticks for those who need one. We went to three different spots- the volcano/Mistico park, el silencio (the preserve) and the waterfall. Each activity required a wristband and parking seemed to be free. You could do all of this on your own but the guides were able to spot many different animals and show us with their scope. Binoculars would be helpful if you don’t have a guide with a scope. The lunch was good. It was a long day. Started promptly at 730 and ended at 4.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
If one country is known for its nature, it’s Costa Rica. With cloud forests, active volcanoes, sparkling beaches, sloth sanctuaries, national parks, and more, outdoor activities in Costa Rica know no bounds. Luckily, it's just 10 hours coast to coast, so you can hike mountain summits, soar down raging rivers, and soak in Costa Rica's famous hot springs in just a few days. These excursions make it easier to hit the highlights, often providing round-trip transportation and sometimes taking you to multiple attractions in a single day.
