This was an awesome tour. I've been to a couple different other tours in La Fortuna over the years and this was my favorite. The staff is exceptional from start to finish. Augustin was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny! Will definitely be booking here again when I am back in La Fortuna!

We saw 9 sloths. Two were very active climbing through the trees. Our guide was very good. The tour was right around 2 hours. It was flat terrain and very easy to walk. Would definitely recommend. We saw 3 sloths as soon as we started on the trail. It was a very cool experience.

Good price. Convenient to get to. We saw three sloths very high up in the trees. Had to be creative to see them. But, we saw three owls, two different species of poisonous, frogs, carrier ants, bullet, ant, hummingbirds, bats and other birds as well as a side lesson on the local coffee that we saw growing. Our guide was new, but very energetic. It was a dad with two young children who bailed out early. Not really interesting for anyone under 8 to 10 years old

Our travel guide was very good and very knowledgeable. Found sloths, lizards, frogs, etc. and even helped taking pictures.

Jason was a great guide. Saw sloths four times, plus frogs and the national bird. Saw him later after our tour and he showed me a picture of a boa constrictor he saw just after our tour.
If you are thinking about doing a self guided tour don’t waste your money. It takes a trained eye to spot the sloths!!!

Our guide Randy was terrific! He managed to find 5 sloths, including two babies. And he was super patient in allowing everyone to take pictures and videos.

Very disappointing. Like we saw 4 brown coconuts 200 feet in the air, 1 every half hour, in the sheeting rain. Guide needs an effective laser pointer and a personal sound projection system.

Unfortunately we don´t have any control of the wheather, and this is a rainforest. So basically this is our day by day climate.
All our guides bring their telescope, to get a closer view of the wildlife that is impredictible. So sorry that you do not enjoyed the tour and the rain, but if possible send us a message to our customer service email marketing@jungletourscr.com

We saw many sloths even with rain. There is no way we could have seen so many animals without a guide. The forest is very well protected so that you can see the animals on their natural habitat. 11/10 for our tour guide, Marco. He is knowledgeable and engaging. A true character, everyone loved him.

When raining sloths curl up in balls and they do not move. Hard to control, I get it. Guide was great, very kind/knowledgable. Yes, it was a park-but it was large.

Our guide was great. Very happy to chat about the animals, great at pointing out animals and allowing everyone to get photos through the spotting scope. The rain was torrential for part of the tour but it was still fun. The trails are easy to follow and we saw several sloths and dart frogs.

Our family did this tour upon arriving in Fortuna. We definitely saw sloths and our guide was great, but this is in a park designed for the tours just outside of town. It does not feel like a natural experience.

Thank you for your comment, because this will give us the chance to explain with real data some rumors.
Our property has 35 acres, around 15 hectareas and our total population of sloths is around 15, it is a lie that we cut down the surrounding trees and in fact we work closely with some sustainable organizations to plant endemic trees at specific areas that were deforested around 1930.
During these years (1930-1986) a few families moved to La Fortuna from San Jose, and the business at that time was to have cows for milk and meat and farming; they cut down many forests and still that way until 1990 when the tourism start to grow.
Around the year 2000, local community start to change their mind about sustainability and reforestation become important for the area.
Today, we are creating biological corridors cause sloths are not trapped here and what they do sometimes, is crossing the street because they are not tied to a tree. In fact, we help them to cross the street and our guides can´t bring them back. This is the first, bigger and the only Sloth Watching Trail in Fortuna. This is one of the last primary and secondary forest nearby La Fortuna Donwtown

We had a little extra time while in La Fortuna and decided to take this tour since it wasn’t too far away from our Airbnb. Jason was our guide and he was amazing. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and showed us the sloths in the area. It felt like we were on the magic school bus on a field trip! While other tours may say it’s a sloth tour, this sloth park you’re guaranteed to see sloths. At the end we saw a mom and baby sloth sleeping high up in the tree! We would definitely come back again.

Treetop viewing only. Expect to probably get rained on and be looking through a spotting scope at the top of trees the whole time hoping to be able to make out a sloth. Tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable.

Every single day is different, sloths are free to move on a 14 acres property and sometimes they are up on the trees and sometimes they do a show for visitors staying really close, is just matter of luck.
Also please, keep in mind that this is a Rainforest, rain is someting we expect almost every single day :)

Very fun your and we saw so many sloths! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and I was so excited to see both types of sloths on this tour! There was even a large poisonous snake hiding in the woods!

Go early! It’s best to see the sloths in the morning! Guide was excellent at pointing out the sloths, frogs & lizards. He was great at using our phones for pictures & videos. Highly recommend!

The guided tour was well done. Regretfully the sloths were hard to spot and way up in the trees. Since that was the main goal of the tour it was a bit disappointing. That said though the other aspects of the tour were great and we saw many other cool creatures along the way. Our guide was informative and made sure everyone got to see things through his scope. He also captured images for us within the scope.
The people there are nice and the pick up and drop off were great!

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide on Jan.13/24. He was very informed about all aspects of the area including the sloths, owls, bats, poisonous frogs, etc., and the time sensitive need to protect the trees and foliage. Nei, atonly 18, he was very proficient in English which he recently learned and was very inspiring. I would strongly recommend this tour.

My family had an enjoyable time looking for sloths with Mar as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing things out to us that we would not have seen or even known to look for. It was raining the day we went and the guide told us that we the sloths were not so active in the rain. He said he was going to do his best to show us one or two. Boy were we surprised! We saw at least 8 sloths. We even saw a mommy and a baby. Our guide was amazing. This was an awesome experience!
