The staff was very friendly and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. There were plenty of amazing fruit samples, and the cacao processing and samples were really good. The guide provided a lot of great history and context for coffee and cocoa in Costa Rica and it was really informative and the kids had a great time.

Dan was an excellent guide and great with the kids! We loved the fruit, chocolate, and animals we saw!

Such a great local tour! Brian was great in describing everything and we learned so much about all the local fruits, chocolate and coffee. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. Some many delicious samples during the very interesting tour. This would be a great tour for anyone especially families.

This tour was fun, informative, and delicious! We tasted the sweetest mango, pineapple, and sugar cane, all grown on site. We learned so much about growing, harvesting, and producing coffee and chocolate. We tasted cocoa beans straight from the pod and saw the fermenting and drying process. The chocolate and hot chocolate (and rum) were all delicious! Such a cool experience!

Highlight of our day! Really enjoyed the insights Brian gave of plant to table explanation with lots of tasting! Fruit was good and chocolate was great! Even saw a hummingbird on her nest! Definitely recommend for whole family.

Very fun! It’s a sweet family business - interactive and informative. You get to taste many different fruits, sugarcane, rum, coffee, and chocolate in its various stages of production. We have tweens and they were engaged the whole time. Definitely recommend.

Truly feel like I underpaid for this. Such a wonderful experience, especially for my fiancée who works with chocolate and pastries so she loved getting to see the process of how the cacao that she gets is made :) our guide was wonderful and explained so much of the history, culture, and the science behind the farm. We got to try soooo much fresh fruit and some fresh cacao and chocolate. It’s a small local family farm so you’re supporting a small business rather than a corporation. 100000/10.

We had a GREAT time! Our tour guide Josue was AWESOME! He was very patient and knows his stuff. We appreciate he took the time to sit with us while drinking hot chocolate and answer questions. Highly recommend.

Brian was great, the kids loved him. Very knowledgeable, interactive with kids and adults.
Fruit was amazing. Tour kept kids attention. Kids favorite was chocolate covered bananas and being able to try everything.

Amazing tour guide, Brian! He was incredibly funny and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The tour was very well planned and organized, and everything flowed smoothly from one stop to the next. Learned a lot about coffee and cocoa beans. Definitely come hungry because there are plenty of delicious snacks along the way, not just chocolate or coffee. There was a really cool crowd on the tour too, which made it even more fun. At the end we got to spend quality time hanging out and chatting, and we were not rushed out at all. It felt relaxed and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

It was a very interesting tour and the whole family liked it. We got to try lots of fruit, chocolate, sugar cane, and coffee. Went with my husband, kids, and mother in law we all enjoyed it. Brian was super!

My boyfriend was not as excited for this excursion due to it being “just a chocolate and coffee tour” but now he won’t shut up about it lol. We had a great time, the tour was quite informative and personal. We toured the site, ate different fruits and chocolate-covered fruits, drank coffee and hot chocolate. We learned about cacao, the process of making coffee and my boyfriend (avid coffee drinker) says he has a newfound greater appreciation for coffee and the effort that goes into making it. Like I said, he now won’t shut up lol. Highly recommend!

Very informative experience from 3rd generation family. We sampled not only the cocoa grown on their farm but, papaya, chocolate covered bananas, pineapple, starfruit, fresh cocoa seeds, hot chocolate and coffee. Also learned the history of coffee production in Costa Rica. Highly recommend this!
Karly_V, Feb 2026
Learned a lot about the various plants at the farm and the chocolate making process. Brian was a great guide! And they offer so many delicious things to taste along the way!
Benjamin_R, Feb 2026
Very low key tour by people who are very passionate about what they do. We got so much fruit and chocolate that we skipped lunch after our tour ended at noon. Half the tour is about the flora and fauna and different fruit trees and half is about the chocolate. The chocolate is delicious! Our 6yo and 8yo kids were bored at times but our tour guide noticed every time and engaged them immediately.
Jennith_P, Feb 2026
We learned alot about the chocolate making process and loved all the tastings along the way! Pura vida!

This was AMAZING!!! We booked it last minute and it was one of our favorite things that we did in La fortuna. The chocolate was delicious and there was so much to eat! Every 5 minutes it was something new and delicious (often a fruit off the tree that we had never tried)! Super educational, great for kids (there was a 4 year old in my group who was having the time of his life. We also saw a ton of nature (birds, bugs and iguanas alike!). If you’re thinking about booking it- book it!!
Karen_C, Feb 2026
The tour comes with eating fresh/frozen fruit that is covered in chocolate. Also you get a shot of rum and a cup of hot chocolate and coffee. It was a nice way to start the day.
Courtney_B, Feb 2026
Dan was a great tour guide with lots of info! Our whole group enjoyed this tour. We really liked the explanation on all the fruit plants too and were surprised how many there were on the property. Got to try tons of fruit and the chocolate and coffee.
