This experience far exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Rodolfo, was WONDERFUL! He was very patient and informative. I got spectacular pictures by using his scope. We saw two and three toed sloths, capuchin and howler monkeys, agouti, several types of iguanas and lizards, ton of different birds, and more.

Caution Seniors and disabled persons

Tracey_A, May 2026
The first driver parked a distance away, so I had to try to ride my mobility scooter over gravel and down the hill, which made it real hard. Then the step into the van didn’t work and it took my husband, the driver and the tour guide to help boost me up high enough because I have bad knees. Also I took oranges but had to leave them. No fruit was allowed, and the tour guide had neither the snacks that are listed nor did they have water available. We ended up having to cut the tour an hour early because of my low blood pressure and being dehydrated. The tour guide was great. It’s just that this wasn’t well prepared.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're very sorry to hear that you encountered difficulties during your visit, especially regarding your mobility and health. We sincerely hope you recovered quickly. We're pleased to know that you enjoyed your guide, and we truly appreciate your kind words about their service. We'd like to clarify a few points that may be helpful for future visitors. Manuel Antonio National Park does not allow food, including fruit, to be brought inside the park. This regulation is established by the National Park authorities to protect the wildlife from becoming dependent on human food and to preserve the natural ecosystem. Visitors are welcome to bring water in reusable personal bottles, and there is also a café located inside the park near the beaches. We also want to clarify that our tour does not include snacks or bottled water, and these items are not listed among the tour inclusions. We always encourage guests to bring their own reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the visit. Regarding the transportation, we sincerely apologize that boarding the vehicle was challenging for you. We always do our best to assist guests with mobility limitations, and we're glad our driver, guide, and your husband were able to help. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue looking for ways to improve accessibility and the overall guest experience. Thank you again for your comments and for choosing to visit Manuel Antonio National Park. We wish you safe and enjoyable travels in the future.

We had an awesome experience on this private tour. We saw sloth, multiple monkeys, toucan, snake, birds. Danny was very knowledgeable and we loved seeing the animals up close with the telescope.

Amazing time at Manuel Antonio

What an amazing experience! Our guide, Rodolfo, made our time at Manuel Antonio memorable by pointing out things we would never catch by ourselves. Really elevated our trip from walking in the woods to seeing all sorts of fauna.

Poor tour guide in Manuel Antonio Park

Miguel_P, Apr 2025
THe guide was totally uninterested in giving a good tour. He clearly did not want to be there. The tour could have been a lot more interesting

Excellent experience, but busy in March

Philip_E, Mar 2025
It is a great experience. It likely would be 5 stars at a less busy period in the park. Our guide, Guillermo (from Jade), was superb!

Great experience! Thanks, Kenneth.

This was such a great experience! It rained the whole time we were there but it was still an amazingly bauchi park. The guide, Kenneth, was really informative and friendly. We wouldn't have spotted a thing if it weren't for him. He explained things well for the young and the old in the group.

Great guide and tour

Sallie_Q, Dec 2024
Our guide Elias was informative and very knowledgeable about the animals and plant life. He was very friendly and had great rapport with our granddaughter. We saw many animals close-up through his scope and we appreciated that he took as scope photos that he shared with us at the end. A great day!

Our guide Edgar was absolutely fantastic! He could see all kinds of animals in the national park that we never would have seen without his eyes. He took great photos on our iPhones. He knew just about everything about Costa Rica biology and history. Very highly recommend Edgar and Jade Tours.

Tour imprescindible

Totalmente recomendado
