This tour was one of the highlights of our first trip to Costa Rica. Our guide was so personable. and so informative. We learned so much about the growing and processing of the different coffees and chocolate, even getting to make our own chocolate "bars". We would definitely recommend!

This tour is fabulous. The guides are very knowledgeable. Our guide Dider was terrific. He took us step by step in the process of the Cacao plant to the final product. We learned how the plant appeared, how it germinates, the pods, seeds and then the drying process. Bonus is we were able to make our own chocolate with a variety of added ingredients (milk, sugar, cinnamon, etc). Next we learned about the coffee plant and the differences between the types of roasting. We learned about the process of pour over vs cowboy coffee. At the end we were able to sample some different chocolate and taste a variety of coffee.

Everything we’ve done in CR has been incredible but I think this was my absolute favorite. Our guide, Sergio, was so knowledgeable and interactive. I loved learning about the processes behind coffee and chocolate as well as the history. The grounds we were on were beautiful and we even saw a sloth! He let us try a banana from the tree as well as peppercorn! The coffee was so good and we even got to make our own chocolate bar to take home which was delicious.

This tour was awesome!! Gigi was very informative and very open to any questions we had! We got to make our own chocolate from scratch and our own coffee from grinding the beans to tasting it afterwards! I would highly recommend this tour, even on a rainy day because the tour is 100% covered with canopy’s!

We got to make our own chocolate bars from scratch, brew our own coffee, and I even got to be a helper during the tour. It was such a unique and memorable experience. Very informative never realized the long process it takes to grow the beans for both chocolate and coffee and the labor involved too. The opportunity to make our own chocolate was fun.

As someone who isn’t much of a fan of chocolate or coffee I still loved the knowledge gained from this tour. We even got to make our own chocolate and add what ingredients we wanted which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of coffee and chocolate to taste and so cool to learn about the whole process and how things are different in Costa Rica

My girlfriend and I did this coffee/chocolate tour and it was great! Sergio was our tour guide and he was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable - the tour was 2 hours but didn’t feel that way! The learning was immersive and interactive and we both felt that we actually could appreciate more about the history and the process of products we both enjoy! The best part was making our own little individual chocolates and getting to taste the local coffee. Would definitely recommend!
