This is a must do activity! The family property where we walked was beautiful! We got to see so many frogs, spiders, and moths. The tour guide was funny and knowledgeable.

We had the best experience on our night tour! Our guide, Yara, was so knowledgeable about all of the animals and noises and was able to find so many frogs, lizards, bugs and even a sloth! She knew so much about the area and the history! It said in the tour description that there was a typical
Costa Rican dinner, what we did not know was that it was at the home of a family that owns the property went to! It was an amazing meal! And the family was so kind and shared about their home and the land! They even had an adorable dog Nala! We had our kids with us and the other people on the tour were older but Yara was able to speak to the kids and adults alike and was so kind and helpful! It was a great tour!

Our family had a lot of fun on this tour. I’ll start with the positives. The property they take you to is beautiful. It’s a family estate with a gorgeous house and gardens. The dinner is amazing; they cook it for you right on the open stove. The guide was also very knowledgeable and passionate about nature. Only reason isn’t five stars is I thought we’d get to see a little more wildlife. We saw frogs and some insects, which were very cool, but was hoping for some snakes and mammals. Of course there’s no guarantee will see anything because some nights animals might not come out but if you’re looking for a walk through a thick rainforest this isn’t really it. Is all on one private property out in country so less chances will see some species. So whether to book this tour depends on what you’re looking for. If you want guaranteed frogs and a great dinner this is for you. If want good chance for more diversity might be other better tours.

This was a worthwhile trip. The kids had fun scouting out bugs and frogs in the dark. Our guide captured amazing photos for us. The property was stunning and the food was probably the most delicious we had in all of Costa Rica. My kid is still talking about the yummy potato, lentil soup. I didn't realize it was as far from La Fortuna as it was but it was still worth it.

This is a must do trip. We drove to a family farm and then walked through the farm learning about all their plants and wildlife. They went out of their way to find wildlife for us. We saw a giant bullfrog, the blue jeans frog, the red eye frog, and the smallest frog in the world, also a sloth. Very informative and enjoyable. The dinner was delicious.

My boyfriend and I had a great time on this walk. It's hosted by a family who have a beautiful yard that you walk through to see different types of animals/flowers. We saw a red eyed frog, turtles, toads, lizards. The food was good at the end as well. I would recommend!

Pouring rain for our night walk - I should’ve brought a better rain jacket :). Saw plenty of wildlife though it was definitely more focused on insects, birds, and frogs than sloths or other mammals. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The food was typical Casado, very good.

This is a small group tour. We had a total of 8 in the group. Wonderful gardens to walk around and see wildlife. The food was great. Well worth it. The tour guide was knowledgeable.

We were expecting a normal night hike but this tour takes it to the next level. You drive to a beautiful botanic garden where you are welcomed with fresh juice on a beautiful scenic patio overlooking tropical gardens and a volcano view. It was rainy when we went so we couldn’t see the volcano through the clouds. On the night hike our guide was informative and helped us find many types of beautiful frogs amd plants. We even saw a kinkajou. After the hike we went back to the house for a home cooked costs rica dinner. The dinner was delicious and the family that hosts is so warm and friendly. Highly recommend to get away from the crowds and have a relaxing evening.

The walk through the grounds was spectacular. Our guide was very knowledgeable and could easily spot creatures for us, also willing to capture excellent pictures. It was a honor to eat the family dinner. Everything was exceptional from lentil soup to coconut dessert.

This was a perfect start to our vacation in Costa Rica doing the rainforest night walk. Everyone was so friendly and we loved seeing all the creatures at night. Just be prepared that you will take a shuttle van to the property which is about 35 minutes away (Wasn’t an issue just to prepare you). I highly recommend this excursion!

This was a great experience. The driver picked us up right on time, courteous and friendly. Started our walk and immediately saw a sloth and then SO many frogs, insects, and even a porcupine. Our guide Minor was able to spot things that most people would have easily missed. I loved his enthusiasm! We even saw a porcupine. Minor took some great photos, getting into the bushes to get the best shots which he shared with all of us. The owners were so gracious and prepared us a wonderful dinner (huge) and fresh juice. Overall it was a great adventure and I would highly recommend!

We had a good experience and we were able to see and hear a lot of animals. The dinner was amazing and very authentic. We did have 2 toddlers (2 & 4) and it was probably a bit too long of a hike because they were hungry. Our 16 and 14 year old loved it.

We learnt so much about the agriculture and the nocturnal fauna at a local botanical harden. The your guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. We saw a lot of cool frogs and other animals. At the end of the tour, we had an absolutely delicious meal prepared by the locals. We were very pleased by this experience. Transportation was included!

The experience of seeing some night creatures was nice. The authentic Costa Rican meal prepared by the family was fantastic. The car ride was long and windy. I wouldn't have signed up for this tour if I knew how far the place is. I felt dizzy in the car. We only saw a few creatures. It was a humid night and there were mosquitos chasing us.
