Super fun and informative walk around the base of the volcano! Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and spotted animals I never in a million years would have caught myself. He was also super funny and personable. It rained quite heavily the second half of the walk, but we still had a great time. I would recommend this for anyone looking for something less intense / low key.

I can not begin to tell you how fun this was! It was a dark, rainy night in the jungle… seriously, it was. We saw a snake in a tree, frogs doing adult frog things, see through frogs, colorful frogs, POISONOUS dart frogs, a giant walking stick (this thing was bigger than your head and an arm!!), and MOOOORE! This was an outstanding tour! It was so much fun. Definitely recommend and would do again! On a rainy night…

Do not book !!! Warning!! Use a more creditable company… they will steal your money. They had the wrong address which made us miss the tour and never gave us our money back. They are using this to steal peoples money and it’s completely wrong.

We take comments like this very seriously, but we must clarify that the information in your review is not accurate.
The correct meeting point and instructions were sent to you twice through Viator and also via WhatsApp, and we even asked if you needed transportation so we could assist further. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response from you prior to the tour.
On the day of the activity, you informed us you were running late due to a tire issue, and we kindly agreed to wait for you. Later, at 5:45pm, you informed us you were still lost and asked us to wait an additional 5–10 minutes, even though the hike starts at 5:30pm. As this was a shared tour with other guests, we were unable to delay the departure any further.
The address provided is correct and is used daily by many guests without any issues.
From our side, we were flexible, responsive, and did our best to accommodate you. However, arriving late and missing the tour is considered a no-show, and under these circumstances, a refund does not apply.
We regret that you were unable to join the experience, but we cannot accept claims that we are misleading customers or “stealing money,” as all information was properly provided and the service was available as scheduled.

Night Tour with Brandan
Brandan was fantastic. We did tour with two children age 7 and 10. He was fantastic at keeping them engaged. The walk was perfectly paced and we spotted so many animals. The kids LOVED it. Would 100% recommend.

This was a great experience and didn’t disappoint. Nathan was a patient and knowledgable guide. The guises were talking to each other to point out Where particular animals were. We saw 3 snakes, endless frogs and insectos. Pick up and drop off was efficient. Overall id highly recomendable.

The night walk was fantastic! Erik, our guide kept us fascinated throughout the walk with his vast knowledge about the creatures we were seeing. Snakes, frogs, insects, arachnids and more were observed. The pace was just right for the group of 8.

This was so much fun. We saw four snakes, so many frogs and even a kinkajou high up in the canopy. Our guide (didn’t catch his name) was very knowledgeable and friendly, so good about everyone seeing each animal and taking photos. I would absolutely recommend it. The fear-de-lance and cat-eyed snakes were the highlight!

Our tour was great! We say a lot of different creatures in the wild. The guide was very knowledgeable. There was also an area at the end of the trip with frogs and we saw a few red-eyed tree frogs!

Knowledgeable guide and we saw some interesting wildlife. A bit of an adventure in the jungle at night but you are on well trodden paths and the guides are experienced. Proper walking shoes/boots a must!

it is a nice hike in the jungle at night - a very cool experience! our guide was good and knowledgeable. of course you are at the mercy of what will show itself at night… We saw a lot of frogs and bugs and a coral snake. would recommend for sure but don’t have over-inflated expectations of crazy jungle life at night and be pleasantly surprised if you do get something really exciting! I will say I was pleased that on our tour, we only were a small group of five… I’ve heard some tours do very large groups which I think would have been a real detriment. The tour companies will run and the experience was cool!

We were a bit unlucky with very rainy weather the entire tour and limited wildlife sightings, but that is the luck of the draw. The reason for the poor review is that we were a family with two kids and the guide was not interactive or engaging which could have made a fun experience even in the rain. We walked quietly until we found a small frog (pretty much the only thing we saw) and the guide pointed it out with a flashlight and waited while we looked and tried to take a picture. We left pretty disappointed in the experience and would not recommend this particular night hike to any families with kids.

In fact, their only concern mentioned was that you did not seem very interested in the hike or the animals. We also have many excellent reviews from other guests—especially families with children—highlighting how engaging and knowledgeable our guides are.
Regarding the weather, you are absolutely right that it is unpredictable, but rainy conditions often increase wildlife activity. That evening, there were actually several sightings along the trail. It’s important to remember that all animals are in their natural habitat, so what we encounter can vary from moment to moment.
We truly believe that attitude plays a very important role when exploring nature. Being open and engaged with the experience often makes a big difference in how much one is able to enjoy and connect with what the rainforest offers.

Erik was a very friendly guide who had a very keen eye for spotting all kinds of wildlife. Started with a brief history of the volcano and local climate before venturing into the forest where we spotted spider monkeys, snakes, spiders, bugs and frogs. This was a great tour to see the nightlife in the area! Our guide Erik was friendly and did a great job spotting animals and coordinating with the other guide. We got to see many species of frogs (including several red eyed tree frogs!), multiple snakes and spiders, grasshoppers, a big toad, and even some toucans sleeping in a tree! It was raining when we went so may have made it harder to see some other kinds of wildlife, but we were more than happy with what we saw, and learned a lot!
