This was the best day of our trip so far! It was so much more than we expected! Andres was wonderful and taught us how to drive. He then led us on a 40+ mile adventure. The hot springs were private and we saw a sloth up close hanging on a vine! It was incredible! I highly highly recommend Andres and this tour.

This tour was one of our favorites! We were on our honeymoon and this was by far our favorite tour! The tour guides made you feel like you were right at home and personable. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
This tour was amazing to say the least. From the beginning until the very end. Our atv guide Johnny was nothing short of amazing. He fully explained the whole atv, experience & locations to the fullest. The ride was full of thrills & excitment and we actually got to go thru a lot of mud & water. The thermal pools were amazing. Our total trip was about 4 hours, and it was more than enough time to see all the landscapes, and picture perfect views. I would 10000% rebook this excursion in the future! Thank you again Johnny for all of your great photos, taking us back and forth safely & of course going out of your way to spot a sloth for us! You are awesome!!!
We very much enjoyed our experience. We unfortunately had rain and fog on the way up to our destination, it was still fun! The weather cleared up for the hot springs, which was so relaxing and fun after being on the ATVs. The ride back was a little more clear and we stopped to see some barn owls sleeping in the top of a chick which was an exciting and unexpected surprise. I would definitely recommend.
My two friends and I went on as many tours as possible during our 6 day stay in Costa Rica, across both La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio. This tour was our absolute favorite -- it was a perfect mix of adrenaline and relaxation. The guide was kind, communicative, and gave great instruction for my two friends who have never driven an ATV before. The hot spring was absolutely gorgeous. We were made to feel like home even in the short time we were visiting the estate/lodge where we started and ended the tour. Best day ever!
I looked at several ATV tours and am beyond happy I chose this one!! It is a private tour so no big groups. It was the guide (Carlos), my daughter and myself. He took the time to make sure we knew about the ATV before getting started. Going thru the sugar cane fields and mud was so much fun!! The views were phenomenol!! We got to see a sloth because he was looking out for all wildlife along the way. The hot springs at the end were so relaxing and like a hidden gem, very private too. Make sure to put on sunblock though! A must do for sure and if you get Carlos you've really lucked out cause he's very knowledgeable and a great guide!!
Johny was the best guide. I was really nervous going ATVing for the first time, but he was very good at teaching us everything we needed to know. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a different side of La Fortuna.
This was my favorite excursion I’ve ever done! The ATV ride was longgggg in the best way, and led us through a bunch of terrain like sugarcane, mud, backroads, ranches, and more. The hot springs at the end were magical. There were multiple temp baths, a sauna, a bar & they even gave us clay to make a mask. Soooo relaxing and such a fun combo highly recommend!
This was completely private with just my wife, myself and the guide. He was very thorough and we saw so much, including an entire family of monkeys. I was sketlptical of the hot springs part and thought we may need to book a more touristy option for that before taking the tour but it ended up being the absolute best thing we did. Could have been the timing, but we were the only ones there, they have multiple pools all with different temperatures and it's not overly commercialized. They do have bathrooms and a stand with a bartender selling drinks and menu options that he will bring to you. Overall, we've did every tour in la fortuna you can dream up and this one was by far the best! Thanks to Monti for a job well done!
Johnny was great! He slotted a howler monkey. He explained a lot about the hot springs. He spent time with our middle child who was stuck a few times! It was a lot of fun!
I cannot recommend this experience more highly!! Once in a blue moon you get this experience -- PRIVATE group (just the 2 of us) is worth the price! No waiting on strangers in your group, as in other rentals. And the hot springs we visited, we were like the ONLY people there! AMAZING!! BEWARE: you need experience with riding ATVs because of the speed and navigation skills required. This is NOT beginner level puttering around. Note: this is not directly in the Arenal area, but East of La Fortuna, yet still in the ridge line of volcanoes. Our guide was Johnny and he did not disappoint us by coddling us on these ATVs.
The ATV experience was extremely fun. It was a great way to see the countryside and the local community. Jonny was our tour guide and he was fun and knowledgeable. Hot Springs was a great way to soak after holding onto those handlebars for a while. Lol
This was AMAZING!!!! We've done many ATV tours and typically we stop doing them because they're too riding and "cautious." This was the perfect blend of having some fun while staying safe. We never felt unsafe but we were allowed to go through the water, mud and real off roading. It really was amazing and our guide was wonderful! He was super nice, friendly and knowledgeable!

Absolutely amazing tour! Our guides were knowledgeable about the wild life in the area and cared very much for our safety! We rode the best and dirtiest path with our ATV’s to a Hot Spring known only to locals which was very private and refreshing! I would 100% recommend this tour to ANYONE visiting La Fortuna.
This was at the top of our most enjoyable moments during our time in Costa Rica. It’s definitely worth it to book this private tour! Monti was amazing and we felt safe the entire time! He even spotted a sloth super far away while we were driving and got a picture for me through his scope. We went through a bunch of different landscapes and different levels of riding. This is not a basic course which is what I was looking for! We went to this natural hot spring spot that was absolutely beautiful and the staff at the little bar there were so friendly, the bar tender even offered to take our picture in the spring. Monti also took videos and pictures of us riding and sent them to us! Overall, would return and do it again the next time we are in the area. It’s definitely worth it!

What a blast we had with our 2 teens and Johnny on this adventurous atv adventure! Highly recommend the muddy route as long as you don’t mind getting dirty, which is way more fun that staying clean. This is also an option Johnny gives you so getting dirty isn’t required. The beauty of this area of CR is breathtaking, and it’s such a fun way to explore. The hot springs were also gorgeous and the perfect way to refresh ourselves amongst natures and mostly locals, away from the hustle and bustle and overcrowded, tourist town of La fortuna. Highly recommend!

Johnny was such a great guide very knowledgeable. He stopped and showed us lots of wildlife and scenery. Unfortunately the bridge to the hot springs was washed out so we were unable to go there during our atv tour, but they let us go by our car and it was amazing.
they sold us a product that did not exist. i booked a 4 hours trip with hot springs and 1 hour after the booking they sent me a message that hot springs are not possible because the bridge to go there has been closed a few days before. no offer to change - no discount. this is not the way it should be.
we finished after 2 hours - however our guide did a good job - it was not his mistake - blame it on the bureaucrats.

Writing a review is absolutely your right, but please have the decency to stick to the truth.
Here are the facts:
You booked the ATV Ride with Hot Springs.
One of the bridges on the way to the Hot Springs is currently under repair due to heavy rains.
As a result, we did not go to the Hot Springs.
Now, here’s what your review leaves out:
We sent you a message through the Viator platform the day before, explaining the bridge situation and offering you the option to cancel the activity with a full refund. In fact, I’m contacting Viator regarding your review since it contains incorrect information.
You did not reply to that message.
When you arrived for the activity, you were again informed about the bridge issue and offered once more the chance to cancel for a full refund. You chose to continue and took part in the ATV Ride.
The ride lasted two hours, exactly as stated — it only ended early because you requested it, despite the guide offering several times to continue longer.
According to our guide’s report and the photos of you and your wife, you were clearly having a great time.
I have no issue with negative reviews — they help us improve. However, I do take issue when reviews are based on incorrect or incomplete facts.
Best private tour! Andreas was great! He was very patient with our small children and all of their questions. One of the best things we did in La Fortuna!
This was such a fun experience! Getting to ride ATV’s through the sugar cane fields, on the roads and through the mountains was so much fun. The hot springs were also amazing. Our tour guide was awesome too!

Had a great tour with Andres and Harold. They were very insightful and allowed my group to take plenty of breaks to see wildlife and the rain forest. Also they took 300 photos of our trip that turned out great!
Where to start!? We had Andres as our guide along with another young man who is just now learning English. This was collectively my families favorite excursion we did for the 5 days we were there! It was about 50 min east of our Airbnb, which I didn’t realize when I booked and was uncertain about still going when I pulled up directions the night before. A 50 min drive in La Fortuna is not the same as the States. It’s low speeds, hair-pin turns. I’ll say the drive to the ATV lodge wasn’t terrible, more straight away roads and mostly flat. I’m SO glad I didn’t cancel because it was incredible! Private tour that lasted probably 4-5 hrs. The hot springs were super cool! We got insanely muddy and the way back was slightly different than the way there which was also cool. They have horses on the resort property that you can pet while you wait/after you finish. There’s a restaurant, lodging, other animals. Honestly, I think I’d probably stay on the property if we make it back to that area again. You won’t regret this one, I promise!
So much fun!! The views were stunning and the hot springs were amazing, not gonna find another one like this. Definitely get a little muddy but so worth it. Would do it again!!
awesome and thrilling ride through the costa rican countryside with stunning views. Stopped at the hot springs where we got a mud mask and were treated by spotting a sloth (thanks to our guide)!! pictures, water and towels provided. Our guide Carlos was awesome and very knowledgeable!! Make sure to bring cash to tip your guide!!
Beyond expectations!!!. Johnni was great guide to a of fun day. The ATV by itself was worth the money and then the hot springs were an incredible bonus. Beautiful site and Jose at the bar made the experience even better!!!

I highly recommend booking this as one of your activities for your Costa Rica trip! Did not disappoint, Andres went above and beyond to make sure our experience was a memorable one.
