Value for Your Money & Time

Visitors to Medellin with limited time on their hands should consider this day-long tour. It packs a lot for a reasonable price. But people need to view this in the proper context - it is a tour in Colombia and not a Viator tour in Europe or the USA. Case in point, the English tour that I booked used the same bus as the Spanish tour. So two groups used the same bus making it a bit linguistically awkward and loud (especially as some of the Spanish -speaking participants sneaked in a small bottle of aguardiente and became loud as the alcohol kicked in). The bus is not a full-sized bus and I noticed that the TV was missing from it's case/holdee at the front section near the driver (only several loose wires dangling). Our guide Osiris was great and took good care of us but seems like at every stop - the tour participants never were able to meet the meeting time agreed. It was always 10-15 minutes pasrtthe meeting time before everyone would be fully accounted for. The delays racked up during the day and this caused us to get back to Medellin pretty late (the traffic did not help and added an extra hour to the travel time). In spite of these, the tour allowed us to go on a boat ride on the Del Peñol Reservoir, visit a park with llamas and other animals, walk around the town of Guatape and climbed up to the top of La Piedra del Peñol. Additionally, the tour included breakfast and lunch. Highly recommended but non-savvy American travelers should temoer their expectations.

Comuna 13 Tour with Kevin: A Whole Vibe!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kevin definitely understood the assignment! 😂🙌🏾 We had such a great time touring Comuna 13 with him! We came with a whole crew, and Kevin made sure he kept ALL of us together, which was a job in itself! 😂 He was patient, fun, and attentive, but he also made sure we learned something along the way. He shared the history of Comuna 13 and gave us insight into the community and culture, so it wasn’t just about taking pictures and sightseeing. We laughed, learned, took plenty of pictures, and really enjoyed the entire experience. Kevin made us feel comfortable and taken care of from beginning to end. If you’re visiting Medellín and doing a Comuna 13 tour, ask for Kevin! This was a great tour! Marlon our tour guide may be one of the best tour guides we have ever had for a tour. He bought loads of energy despite the early start and always provided useful guidance and information. The activities are were really fun and well paced. The transport was comfortable and well driven. Can’t think of anything I would change.

So Much Fun!!! Do This One For Sure!!!

Such a fun experience with some nice people. You do some travel up the "mtn" to see some views and then stop for lunch...it's VERY good. You can buy some seafood caught, sold and cooked right there for a few $$. Then comes the beach ride...some good speed...if you have somebody on the back...HOLD ON. Really good experience.

This was a great trip for families!!! We have lower elementary kiddos and also had a couple other kiddos on this trip as well. Very thankful for the non-party vibe….yet it had a celebratory vibe. There was music pumping as we powered across the water. The tour operators were fantastic. Shout out to Benjamin whose English and Spanish were fantastic. He did an excellent job of “warning” us for what to expect with arriving and the beach and salesmen approaching. We didn’t feel as though we were hassled. Snorkeling was amazing with such incredible clear water. I like details-so here you go. You get an email 24 hours in advance with detail/ what to bring/ where to meet. You’ll have to bring cash for the port tax. Once you get to the port you’ll wait 15-30 minutes for your boat. Gentle boat ride through the coast. Wild boat ride on the ocean. Stop for Oceanarium or snorkeling. We snorkeled. Literally jumped out of the boat and followed the group. Got back in-saw the Escobar airplane crash site (had an opportunity to go down & see it & alcohol if you wish). Took boat ride to Island. Had lunch on the beach. Stayed there just short of 2 hours. Wild boat ride back with rocking tunes. Very glad we had shoes we could wear for snorkeling (coral is hard on the feet). And we brought our own 5L water jug for our family. Your feet will get wet. Your seats will be wet. All will be wet. Hats will not stay on your head. Sunglasses are a must.

Great tour that everyone visiting Cartagena should do.

I cant urge you enough to take the time and go on this tour if you are in Cartagena. A lot of people come for the beaches and surface history, but you really should do a political tour of the walled city and Gethsemane while here, and definitely a tour of Palenque. Our guide was Romeo, and he was HILARIOUS and informative. Loved him!

Island Hopping

We had a great time on the Three Islands tour! Check-in was smooth—we arrived at the recommended time, boarded around 8:45 AM, and had shaded seating while waiting. Bora Bora was our favorite stop. The water was calm and crystal clear, the coconut lemonade was delicious, and the music and dancing made the experience so much fun. The other islands were great for relaxing, lunch, and a quick swim. The ride back was much choppier, so I’d recommend taking motion sickness medication if you’re prone to seasickness. Overall, this tour was a perfect mix of beautiful beaches, relaxation, and adventure, and it was one of the highlights of our Cartagena trip.

you will have a lot of fun! you will also get sand and dust of your clothes and shoes. The team was professional, on time and very friendly. We booked this tour as our port excursion: so we needed a tour that was punctual (no one wants to miss their boat!) These guys were on time and put my fears to rest. A fun experience! Also tremendous views of the ocean!!!!
