It was an amazing experience!! The waterfalls were beautiful. I must say though that having good stamina is recommended. There’s a hike to the 5th waterfall that will get you breathing hard. Otherwise, canyoning through the waterfalls was a thrill.
Bring extra clothes, socks and shoes!
Ale was a great tour guide and Arthur was a friendly assistant! We also had Marvin who was our driver. He drove safely and very friendly also!

This was an amazing experience. The guides were so freaking awesome. So knowledgeable, so encouraging, so helpful, so assuring. This was more than what i expected.

10 out of 10 experience! The guides were fantastic. It was a well organized and safe but exhilarating experience. Just do it!! You won’t regret it.

Great excursion, the hike was pretty intense. Hopping down from rock to rock, steeper sections requiring rope and the ability to pull yourself up. We were warned about poisonous snakes along the way and we did find a tiny one. The guides were extremely attentive and made sure we stayed clear. The repelling was amazing. We had a great confidence builder the first 4 waterfalls. The last one was a challenge. 284’ was intense. Overall the guides and travel company were extremely easy to deal with. Made us feel confident and safe 10/10

Great experience with friendly and helpful guides who made you feel safe at all times. Because it was a busy day, our group started with the big 230ft waterfall which was quite daunting. I suspect more of our group would have completed it, if we’d been able to do the smaller, practice ones first. Also, be warned, it is a steep climb back to the top once you’ve rappelled to the bottom! It was an excellent day though and I would definitely recommend.

Super fun and thrilling experience! Great to cool off during the day. We saw howler monkeys on the hike back up too!

I booked this experience last minute after another booking I had in advance got canceled, and I’m so glad it did! From the get-go, our driver Marvin was great and pointed out various fauna and their cultural/economic significance. Lunch was local and yum (get the pescado). As for the actual adventure, Alex and Javier were absolute pros who lead the experience with knowledge, safety, and fun attitudes that brought our group together as a team. It’s not always easy being a solo traveler on these group events, but this one is a total win. They even stopped our drive back a coupl times when they spotted a sloth and a red macaw. THIS WAS SO FKN FUN! 10/10 Pura vida!

Amazing day!! Alex and Gray were excellent guides. My husband and I and our 16 yr old daughter and 14 yr old son loved our experience. Great hiking, 4 waterfalls to learn the technique and then a final waterfall to rappel - spectacular. Lunch after was delicious!

Amazing experience and unlike anything I've done before. Scary, yes. But so empowering! Very glad I took the risk and did all 5 waterfalls. I felt very safe the entire time. What an adrenaline rush!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They picked us up from our hotel no issue. The experience was amazing and I would 100% recommend ABC and this activity. The lunch is also great a home cocked traditional and delicious meal. They even stopped on the way back to show us some wildlife and so we could grab a few things from the store. Just an awesome job all around!!

Great tour down series of waterfalls, starting fairly easy and ending in a 230 foot waterfall rappelling. Felt very safe. The guides were very personable and the lunch afterwards was excellent. There is a bit of a hike up and down through the forest, so a moderate level of fitness is required.Recommended

Amazing experience! It was our first time doing anything like this. Guides were great and prepared you well with proper technique for success and enjoyment. The first 4 rappels are nice beginners as you build up to finale waterfall rappel. Intense and very thrilling! Lunch was also such a treat and enjoyed very much. Highly recommend!

An outstanding experience from start to finish. The booking process was incredibly easy, and all logistics were clearly communicated and seamless on the day of the rappel. The guides provided excellent instruction and guidance, making the experience feel safe, well-organized, and accessible regardless of experience level. On top of that, the food was genuinely delicious and a great finishing touch to the day. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a professionally run and memorable rappelling adventure.

The beauty was so amazing. Only thing better than the beauty was the staff.
They we so helpful and friendly. Absolutely a pleasure.

The crew were the best. They really have this thing figured out. Lunch was great and everyone was super nice. They even stopped the bus to show us a sloth on the side of the road

This was an absolute blast. Everyone in the family had a great time and Alonzo and Alex were terrific guides that made the whole adventure fun. The final waterfall was a fantastic way to finish things.

Adrenaline rush! Met amazing new friends. Had an amazing rappelling experience! The guys were great, professional and made sure we had fun and stayed safe. The ride to the place can be a little rough, so come prepared if you easily get carsick. Otherwise, I would definitely do this again next time.

The guides were fantastic, they really worked hard to make us feel safe yet adventurous. I did not let my wife and daughter do the big waterfall, as it was quite difficult for both me and my son (I do Orange theory regularly, and he plays basketball). It had rained heavily the night before, so the force of the big waterfall was INTENSE. Everyone enjoyed the other four waterfalls though - they were a good mix of challenging and fun. Definitely wear closed toed shoes and quick dry clothing, and bring a change of clothes. You WILL get soaked! There was a lot of hiking up and down steep, narrow trails, which added to the calories burned, and which made the home-cooked meal after even more delicious. Great adventure, but not for the faint of heart!

Have never done this before but it was amazing! The smaller waterfalls prepare you for the last large one.

It was a great experience rappelling on the waterfalls, the last rappelling that we did was truly amazing while at the same time physically exhausting due to the flow of water that you need to rappel. The ABC Canyoning is great, the guides are amazing amd made sure you are safe. Great day trip and physically challenging!

What an unforgettable experience! I had such a great time on today’s rappelling tour. It was incredibly fun and full of adrenaline. The final rappel was definitely the highlight. The breathtaking 230-foot waterfall is more fun due to the recent heavy rain. The water thundered down, pouring over me as I descended, absolutely thrilling and exhilarating. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Can’t wait to come back again next time! One suggestion is that bringing dry clothes to change after the tour as it is super cool in the forest. We were trembling and shaking during the waiting period.

A great experience overall
The Waterfall kicked my ass!

This was awesome. The final waterfall was intense no matter who you are. The first 4 were family and kid friendly but the last one needs some strength and determination. Would 100% recommend to anyone that likes a little adventure.

Arturo and Ramon made rappelling a 230ft waterfall an amazing adventure! Their expertise and enthusiasm made it a safe and thrilling experience.
holly_s, Mar 2025
This was an fantastic experience that I would do again! Ramon and crew took us on an exhilarating day, driving us to the falls stopping to see sloths and hyping us up along the way! From start to finish, they explained everything thoughly, harnessed us up ,trekked through steep hills and rough terrain to 5 different waterfalls. We hiked back to enjoy a wonderful lunch authentically prepared. So much fun!

The guides were very knowledgeable and kept safety at the forefront. We even got to see wildlife that they spotted on the way there and back. The last waterfall was a little much for me (even with experience rappelling after rock climbing) but most everyone else enjoyed it.
Chris_C, Feb 2025
The last rappel is pretty intense. It was absolutely amazing. We were with two others that never before been rappelling, and both loved it. It's definitely not for the faint of heart, but is absolutely amazing.

This is a very physical activity with some hiking on terrain that can be muddy and slippery. The first four waterfalls were good practice for the fifth, which was by far the highest and most difficult.
Our guides did a great job of demonstrating the required techniques and took our safety seriously. Before each rappel, they ensured we felt as ready and confident as possible and that we understood what conditions and moves would be involved with each unique waterfall. We didn’t expect the level of humor and playfulness that our guides (especially Ramon!) engaged in. We laughed so much!!!! Their fun personalities really helped make this an incredibly enjoyable experience.
Most of our fellow tourists handled each of the first four rappels well, even the young tweens and teens, quickly learning and getting better with each rappel. One young lady in our group struggled very much with the third waterfall, which was the second tallest and second most difficult of the five. She and many other guests, and all but one of the women opted out of the fifth waterfall.
I was the only woman in the group to rappel the fifth waterfall. It was an INTENSE experience. The water flow was very powerful and spun me around more than I could control a few times. The noise of the water striking my helmet was very loud. The rocks were slippery and it was difficult to keep myself at the 90-degree angle, as the force of the water pushed my legs down and spun me around a few times. I ended up going down one short section facing out/forward instead of facing in to the wall, and I just couldn’t help it. I can see how anyone could have a panicky moment and freeze and feel overwhelmed. I had to stop and take a few breaks with my face down so I could catch my breath and collect myself. Afterwards, I had a mildly bruised elbow but no other injuries. My core muscles were quite sore the next day!
I would recommend the fifth waterfall only for those in fit physical condition, mentally strong, kinesthetically aware, and able to remain calm and confident in challenging situations. Given that these physical and mental requirements are met, the “rush” of adrenaline is worth the challenge!

It was a lot of fun doing the first 4 waterfalls and each one was different. The guides were fun and made sure everyone was safe at all times. They were very honest about how difficult and intense the last one is and believe me they weren’t exaggerating. I am a very adventurous person who has done a lot of extreme sports and activities and am in good shape. That said, the fifth waterfall is unbelievably challenging! I went in the dry season and the waterfall was gushing and very powerful. Several people opted out of doing the last one which you can decide when you get to it. I only got some minor bruises and although I wouldn’t call the last one fun, I am very glad that I did it! It felt like an incredible accomplishment and something I will remember forever! Whether you do the last one or not, this is a great and unique tour! The lunch at the end was wonderful. They are a very nice family who cooks you an authentic Costa Rican meal and their property is so nice. For the animal lovers, like me, they had about 5 toucans feeding on their property which was very cool to see. They also have 2 dogs and cats that were very sweet. 💕

This excursion was very adventurous but also very fun. The day started out with being driven from the meeting place to the Costa Rican family’s home. We then were given a safety briefing and rappelling instructions by our guide. Next up was hiking for a few minutes to our first waterfall. I enjoyed how each small waterfall was unique and a different technique could be used. The last waterfall was very powerful and tall, while it was intense going down, I kept in mind their prior instructions and tips, and I successfully rappelled down the entire waterfall! This tour is definitely not for the faint hearted, but the guides did a great job helping us throughout the way and keeping us safe. My companion ended up having some difficulties on the last waterfall due to some confusion and miscommunication, but the guides kept her safe and it ended alright. Also, the Casado meal at the end was fantastic!
