This was totally unique and awesome! Our guide was a local, so he knew the area very well, which meant that we saw the spot with the strongest bioluminescence and it was incredible. You really do need to go kayaking to actually see how intense and beautiful it really is. The shorelines really don’t do it justice. On the tour our guide showed us bioluminescent jellies and we spotted all kinds of wildlife. It was so cool to hear about the area and the conservation efforts put in place for it. I absolutely recommend this tour if you want to see bioluminescence in the States! Very different and almost unbelievable experience!

Once in a lifetime experience

I had never been kayaking before, and I’m definitely not the most confident person when it comes to outdoor activities. But I decided to book this tour for my high school-aged son, and I can honestly say choosing this tour was one of the best decisions I could have made! I’m actually a pretty nervous person when it comes to things like this, but Sunny was an incredible guide. She made me feel completely comfortable and safe, and guided us in a way that even someone like me could relax and truly enjoy the experience. The beautiful night sky, the ocean, and kayaking for the very first time—it was all absolutely unforgettable. I never expected to enjoy kayaking this much! But what made this experience truly special was Sunny herself. She isn’t just a tour guide. Just as her profile says, she is an ecologist. The depth of her knowledge, everything she shared with us throughout the tour, and her genuine love and respect for nature and the environment made this experience something you simply can’t find from anywhere. I’m incredibly grateful to Sunny for giving us such a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m already planning another trip to Florida with my son and a few of his friends, and booking another tour with Sunny will absolutely be at the top of my list. We had a great time on our tour! Beautiful morning, lots of manatees out, and spotted a dolphin as well! Our guide, Ian, was incredible and knew his stuff. I highly recommend booking a tour with him if at all possible! He was by far one of the best guides we have had on a kayak tour!

Best way to start out the 4th

This was an absolutely excellent experience. We had a great captain, the boat was clean and nice. We went out on the river. It was a gorgeous day. We saw lots of dolphins as well as manatee. Docked out at the island and took a quick dip in the water and then toured the river back. I would highly recommend!

Bioluminescence kayak tour

We took the 9:00 p.m. tour and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide, Ian, was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable. The water was calm and serene, and there were plenty of glowing jellyfish that we were able to catch using the nets provided. My young adult children really enjoyed the tour as well. It was a fun and unique experience.

You will see Manatees!

Terence gave a wonderful tour! We got to see many manatees and even manatee babies! They came right up to the kayaks! Terence provided information on the area’s history too and provided a comfortable space to ask questions and enjoy the animals and nature around us. Highly recommended especially with Terence!

Highly Recommend!!

Captain Jen and Captain Jack were incredible. Jack drove the boat while Jen talked majority of the time giving us fun facts. She was super knowledgeable and spoke so adequately. We saw a ton of dolphins! They even swam up to the boat and were able to take great pics! Sadly it was too windy so no manatees. Highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money! (Also don’t panic when you get to the dock and don’t see a boat. They will be arrive on time!)

Caleb is Awesome!

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Caleb was absolutely wonderful! He knew so much about the area, and answered all of my silly questions. He made the tour so fun, and relaxing. We did see a few dolphins at the end of the trip, tons of birds (amazing birds I can’t name them all but wow!) no manatees, but I learned that they like warmer water :) so I’ll come back in summer and see them. Definitely recommend. Especially if you’re lucky enough to get Caleb as your guide.

Try Something New

If you have any questions before the tour you can text them. They were quick to respond and put my concerns at ease . I had never been kayaking before and I had no problems manuvering. If it's going to be cold bring a towel for sure! You can expect to get wet just from the water run off from your paddle. Remember that there are no guarantees to see certain wildlife. We saw two dolphins, but it was too cold for manatees. There were lots of birds throughout the journey. The tunnels still made it a super cool experience though. Enjoy your time on the water! I was in a small group with only two others and the guide. It was a super chill vibe. Loved the experience.
