This was our first time on a sailboat and it was a phenomenal experience. Nate and Andrew were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. We saw dolphins and several species of birds. The mangroves were beautiful and the ocean views were spectacular as always.
I highly recommend cocoa Beach Catamaran!

The catamaran is a stable and smooth-sailing ride. We saw lots of dolphins. Weather was perfect. Captain was kind. Beautiful late afternoon ride making memories. I would recommend this experience.

We had a family of six, so we basically had a private tour, our guide and captain was able to keep 2 teenagers and a 10 year old happy while the adults were able to relax.
It was very chill, and we saw lots of dolphins.

Brian was very knowledgeable, shared some interesting history, pointed out the wildlife when it could be seen. Weather was mostly perfect and we had a leisurely 2 hour trip out and back. At the very end when the wind changed and picked up, brian quickly handled the sails and rigging to keep us going.

Well, the best I can say about this tour was that it was a nice day and a mostly relaxing two hours on the water.
That said, I’m not sure why this was booked as a dolphin tour and sail because we barely experienced either. For starters, Captian Nater bater (his words) did not know much about wildlife and nature. When asked about a bird formation flying above, all he could say was “those are cool” and then admitted he didn’t know what they were. He did point out the rose spoonbill, but we were never close enough to really see them.
We did see a dolphin. One.
Of course I realize that nature is not predictable and not a guarantee, but Nate did not seem to even try to find any dolphins. In fact, he wasn’t really a tour guide for most of the trip. He was more interested in chatting with one of the guests than actually being a guide.
Then there is the sailing. I love sailing. I am a sailor. Nater threw up the sails, we were under sail for only about 10 minutes, he tacked once, then went in irons, lowered the sails and motored for the next hour. He even returned into the channel 10 minutes early to make sure that he could drive past the restaurant (FOR A SECOND TIME!) so that he could advertise the business. He wasted our time in the front end and the back end of the trip so he could advertise! Dude, there are better ways to advertise than wasting the time of your paying customers.
Lastly, no where in the materials does it say that you can bring your own beverages and snacks. Had we known, we would have brought provisions!
This could have been an enjoyable trip, but it was made significantly less fun because of the poor communication from start to finish from the company. Would not recommend.

We had such a wonderful time on our dolphin watching trip! From the moment we got out on the water, the experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The boat ride itself was peaceful, with beautiful views and a great atmosphere to just sit back and unwind.
The highlight, of course, was seeing the dolphins! We were lucky enough to spot several of them swimming and playing near the boat, which was incredible to watch. It felt really special seeing them in their natural environment.
The whole experience was well organized, smooth, and perfect for anyone looking to relax while enjoying nature. I would definitely recommend this dolphin watching trip to anyone visiting the area it was a memorable and peaceful way to spend time on the water!

The boat was beautiful with lots of different viewing points! The captain was friendly and experienced. He took us to multiple spots where we were able to view dolphins, manatees and other wildlife. It was an excellent experience!

This was a small cataraman, held six passengers plus driver. Low key and relaxing. Saw many dolphins and some manatees, nice driver, comfortable seating.
Steve_R, Feb 2026
The captain really knows the area and was very knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone. Very accommodating.

We had a fantastic time on the Dolphin Adventure Sail! Our guide, Brian, was incredible—he was so patient and great with our kid, and he definitely knew exactly where to find the dolphins. It was a wonderful experience and absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Oh, what a great time. The captain, Bryan, was awesome. We just wanted to spent the warm day on the water. It was exactly that. The captain took us to see dolphins and manatees across the intercostal waters. My husband even took a try at lifting the sails.
Go hang out with Captain Bryan for a few hours - you won't regret it. We didn't.

We were very disappointed with this tour. I am all for being cautious of the weather in florida it is unpredictable. Our tour was supposed to view the dolphins, manatees, and birds in their habitat. Then sail out to sea for an hour or so. Well we floated around the canal for 2 hours. Then went back to the dock. I think we should not have went out at all if the weather was an issue. The rain nor storms never came. So to float passed some houses and watch other vessels actually go out was really disappointing. The shipmate Speedy was funny he really tried to keep us entertained.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Monica, thanks for joining us on the water! Florida’s summer storms can roll in faster than a pelican after a french fry—and we don’t mess with lightning. While we can’t control Florida’s unpredictable skies, our captains always put guest safety first—which sometimes means adjusting the route to keep everyone comfortable. On your trip, weather reports showed possible storms and lightening inland, so we stuck to the calm, scenic Thousand Islands and canals instead. These protected waters are home to dolphins, manatees, and an incredible variety of birds—plus, they offer a laid‑back cruise where you can enjoy the views and the crew’s antics (Speedy is definitely one of a kind!).
If you’d mentioned you weren’t happy with the route that day, we would’ve been more than happy to bring your group back out on another trip when the weather was friendlier. We do everything we can to give guests the best possible experience, but summer storms can change our plans for safety. Wish we could’ve fixed this for you in person rather than reading it online.

Great time, nice people, beautiful boat, gorgeous day, chatty and fun first mate Speedy, and knowledgeable and interesting captain. Our captain had to make a gametime decision on the course of our excursion, due to a large lightning storm system that was close to us, although not right over us. We were able to embark, but after about 30 minutes he decided/announced that for safety reasons we would not cruise the typical course among the mangroves, so we likely would not get to see the wildlife we were expecting to see; but we would be safe and we would get to continue. Everyone was amenable to the idea, because it was a really dark and very active storm system and we were all enjoying ourselves. Both he and the first mate made sure everyone was having a good time, doing little checks from time to time on each person, and maintained a very jovial atmosphere, despite any disappointments about not getting to see manatees and dolphins or getting to sail on open water. Recommend.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks Natalie! Sometimes Florida weather gets a little crazy and it's hard to tell what it will do. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Maria_G, Aug 2025
I did not like it at all. They were boring. They didnt have good music. They did not give us a lot of information. It was not fun at all. The music, like why music that is boring. Didnt see dolphins but they did not even talk about the dolphins. Did not enjoy it.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We saw your review and had to do a double take—especially since you texted asking to come out again! Sounds like it couldn’t have been too bad of a time 😄
As for the music, we get it—everyone's vibe is different. On public sails, we aim for chill tropical tunes that fit the scenery, but if you want to be the DJ, we offer private charters where you control the playlist (and the dance floor 🕺💃).
Dolphins are wild, so while we can’t schedule them, our guides do point them out and share cool facts when they show up. But hey, maybe next time they’ll make a bigger splash.
Whenever you're ready to give it another go, we’ll be here—sunny skies, salty breeze, and good vibes guaranteed. 🌞🐬⛵

Fantastic engaging, knowledge and friendly crew. Superb sailing experience with full sails and scenic waterways with both Dolphins, Manatees and Pelicans. Both Speedy and Captain Andrew made it a memorable Saturday afternoon in the beautiful Florida Sunshine.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you for a great review! We're glad you had such an amazing experience with us.
Colleen_D, Jun 2025
Slow to start, cruising by the coastline first 45 mins. Once we started sailing, the last hour was enjoyable. Captain Don was knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyed our time on the catamaran overall!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you so much for joining us and for sharing your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your time on the catamaran and appreciated Captain Don's knowledge and friendliness.
Yes, you are correct the first 35-45 minutes of the tour is our eco-sail along the mangroves to toke in local wildlife and scenery as mentioned in the tour description. Then the sail goes up for a more traditional sailing experience. We're happy to hear the last hour was especially enjoyable.
Valerie_S, Jun 2025
Captain Kris and Captain Andrew were so much fun. Captain Kris found us manatees and a group of dolphins which was pretty cool. This is a very relaxing cruise, great.for everyone. Thank you Captain Kris and Captain Andrew for a fun sail..

It was a lot of fun and I would definitely do it again. Might do a sunset cruise later in my trip to cocoa beach
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thanks Catherine! Please do come out and join us for a sunset Cruise.
Gloria_C, Jun 2025
This was a spur of the moment excursion but well worth it. GPS was not user friendly in finding the location where to go but finally made it and reaching the company was EASY and the boat waited for us.
Would definitely refer friends and family in the future!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thanks! Sometimes those spur of the moment decisions work out great!
kara_A, Jun 2025
The boat was nice and the water and area are beautiful. The captain of the boat was pretty rude. He basically ignored me 2x and then when I asked to share knowledge about the area that I knew bc my grandma lived there for 30 years he told me I was wrong and it just was overall a rough experience with this captain/guide if you'd call it that. He made rude comments about his ex and all types of weird underlying sarcasm that was inappropriate.
The women on the boat was nice and the day was a good day weather wise. The directions are goid to help arrival process. That is why I gave3 stars
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're happy you enjoyed the boat, the views, and that the arrival process went smoothly. We are very sorry to hear about your interaction with the captain. That is not the kind of vibe we want for our guest. We will address the issue with the captain. We appreciate you bringing this to our attentin and would love a chance to make it right if you decide to give us another try. Feel free to reach out to us directly anytime.
Jon_A, May 2025
We loved the ride. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We had never been on the kind of boat it was wonderful to see how it worked! We would go again. We did see dolphins at the end of ou ride.
Response from Host, May 2025
Sailing on a catamaran and seeing dolphins makes for a wonderful day.
Jennifer_P, Apr 2025
Seeing the manatee and dolphins was super fun but sailing was a close second. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the local habitat and Don was a very capable captain on the open water.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Folks love to see the dolphins and manatees, then they experience sailing and they realize this is the way to experience the wildlife and be on the water. Thank you!
