Easy to locate and navigate. Tour guides prepared and take safety seriously. Great information but allowed time to take it in. Able to see bioluminescent and even hold one of them thanks to tour guide. Only thing that was a disappointment was we booked two single kayaks and they put us in a double. That was not cool. In the end though great experience 👍

Pictures on the website are completely deceiving. This is merely a nighttime kayak tour. The only bioluminescence we saw were the jellyfish he put in a jar for people to look at. Very disappointing. The guide was awesome though and very knowledgeable.

I was very disappointed when my Bioluminescence Kayak Tour was canceled on the same day due to high winds/weather. I do appreciate the safety concern but why should I have to still pay? I was not given an option but to accept a rain check. I was in the area for only two nights and neither night offered acceptable weather conditions. It seems pointless for me to travel, book a hotel plus expenses again in order to do the bioluminescent tour. Buyers beware.

That you for taking the time to leave a review for us. It is unfortunate when severe weather interferes w/our operations. We understand this can be frustrating. Operation on the coast can be tricky as we can have showers or thunderstorms that roll through last minute, that is why the we,and our competitors all employ an all sales final sales policy, as it costs us all money to pay our guides to arrive, set up and be prepared for your arrival. While we understand a no refund policy can be frustrating, we offer rsinchecks that never expire, and can be gifted to anyone of your choosing. While we do understand that we have guests from out of state, that say they will never ever return to Florida, we wllow the rsinchevks to be transferable. As you can probably imagine, if we allowed refunds for out of state guests, we would only have out of state guests on every single one of our tours. The best consensus we have found, is transferable rainchecks that never expire. This is been our policy for over a decade and it seems to work well for 90% of our valued customers, while still keeping these companies in business. All this information can be viewed on our website prior to making your reservation, under the cancelation policy. We'd have preferred not to receive a 1 star review, but that is your choice and we respect it.
Respectfully,
Florida Adventurer

Must see near Orlando! Bioluminescence Kayaking at night under a clear sky with an abundance of stars. It is in the middle of a preserve on the Indian River! Brian, our guide, was fun, friendly and full of knowledge. We saw lots of comb jellies and some phytoplankton. We had a view of the Kennedy space Center with Artimus ready for launch! It was so quiet and peaceful! We heard drum fish and saw night herron! No gators(thank you very much) If you have never done this, you definitely need to put it on your bucket list.

It was so relaxing, with the beautiful nature, and our guide Brian was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. My son loved it.

Terrance was an amazing guide. He informed us of the history of the area, was very patience with the beginners, and took amazing photos.

Super cool experience got to see the bioluminescence and got to see beautiful stars and comb jellies! Very friendly and easygoing guides and I would recommend to a friend. We went in October so it wasn’t too cold either but definitely got a little wet and definitely bring bug spray in preparation!

Such a unique experience. Definitely a must do. Our guides, Brian and Chris, were fun and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great kayaking excursion. The science explanations were very interesting!

Very informational and fun experience exploring Haulover Canal! Jeremiah even caught a blue crab for us to see and comb jellies that glow when you touch them.
Susan_P, Aug 2025
Have to apply bug spray or wear long shirts and pants. Stars were amazing. We felt we would have preferred more paddling and less floating. View of cape on water was cool.

Terrance was such a wonderful guide, My husband and I have never kayaked before and we had no problems at all, the water glowed with every stroke and you could see the fish moving as the glow highlighted their trail. Terrance explained the area and history of the refuge, he is very knowledgeable and amazing as a guide. Everything about this experience was perfect. A must do for anyone in the area. He took us to the perfect places to see the most and not be where everyone else was.

Definitely recommend! Be prepared to have fun and enjoy kayaking in the dark. A very enjoyable and unique experience. FYI. Your feet will get wet and bug spray is a must.
Shelly_R, Jun 2025
We loved our experience; the clear, star-filled sky, the commentary from our guide, Jeremiah, but especially the bioluminescence. You could see it coming from your paddle in the water, from your fingers as you dipped your hand in the water, and from the fish that would sometimes swim nearby. It was magical.

An all out amazing experience. We enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely go again when we make our next visit to Florida.
Corey_S, Jun 2025

The guides were very knowledgeable and kind. They were very watchful of us all and we had a glorious time. Beautiful natural wonder. Highly recommend.

It was a great experience. Our main guide was friendly and witty. The preparation and the execution of the experience is professional.
I really liked the kayak experience in open water because I never kayak.
I don't know if it's dependant on specific conditions and maybe I had higher expectations from the photos but for me personally the bioluminescence experience was a bit underwhelming.
We did witness it very distinctly - both in water while paddling and with the jelly creatures themselves.
My wife and kids were thrilled by the whole experience.

This tour was a lot of fun. Not a dull moment ! Brian was an incredible guide. Lots of knowledge of the ecosystem and the animals within it. Would 100% recommend and will be returning to go again!

Terrance, Joe and Cass were very informative and very patient with our group. The pointed out spots to see more and ensured that everyone had an enjoyable experience.
Tiffany_M, Aug 2024
Moon was a little to bright to see the bioluminescence like we hoped, however, it made for an absolutely stunning night on the water.
Our guide, Clint was awesome.
Megan_F, Jul 2024
This was a fantastic experience! Our guides were great, very knowledgable and friendly. The kayaking was not too difficult so this would be a great activity for anyone!
Tip - the mosquitos were rough, use a strong repellent!
John_T, Jul 2024
Small group with two wonderful guides. Brian was knowledgeable and set a good relaxing pace sprinkled with stories and nature backgrounds. Took us away to a quiet area away from the larger tour groups. Bioluminescence was amazing. Lots of fish, stars, and birds (a few landed on some kayaks!!).
Good attention to safety as there was a large wind storm when we gathered
They were clear in communicating and mingling safety. We saw one of the bigger tour companies send out a group only to need a rescue down in the canal. Didn’t look like fun for them
I’m glad Florida Adventures prioritized safety because the rest of the tour was just amazing! The only rescue our tour did was to save the fish that jumped into the kayaks :)
CarriePratka, Jun 2024
This was amazing. The tour guides were efficient and knowledgeable. There are a lot of tours to choose from. I am glad I was on this one.
Suzanne_R, Jun 2024
Great guides, and a magical experience!!! Very highly recommend this experience with Florida Adventurer.
Ashley_M, May 2024
Our guide, Clint, was awesome! He definitely made sure we had a great experience and he was very knowledgeable. We would definitely go on another tour with him and we highly recommend this experience!! Probably the best part of our vacation!!
Zachary_H, May 2024
Clint was an awesome guide with a great sense of humor and had everyone’s safety in mind first and foremost. Very knowledgeable of all the vegetation and wildlife we encountered. I recommend the night tour. Very magical and the stars were very visible due to lack of light pollution.
Melinda_B, Mar 2024
It was a really fun trip. Our guide Brian was really informative and knowledgeable about the area. I look forward to another trip when the plankton are there.
Nicole_B, Feb 2024
Kate was absolutely the best tour guide there could ever be. So knowledgeable! Although we didn’t see much of the bioluminescence (off season) she made it so informative and educational and fun to explore.
Emily_W, Dec 2023
What a fun experience. While it wasn’t peak season for max bioluminescence, just being in the water and hearing the night time noises was so peaceful. We had such a great time and will definitely do this again.
