A must do experience when visiting Seward, you will not be disappointed!! From the pick up to drop off the whole team provided an excellent service. Special mention to “Matt the Musher” for allowing us to experience his unique work. His devotion and knowledge of his dog team and sledding shone through and enabled us to immerse ourselves and learn about a world that we didn’t know existed! Certainly one of the highlights of our Alaskan land/sea tour!!

It was amazing!!! Once in a lifetime experience. Breathtaking views. From the pilot to our tour guide everyone was wonderful. The puppies are so adorable and the dogs well trained and skilled. Highly recommend.
This was on my wish list and I am so glad I got to fly up to a glacier and go on a dog sled and got to mush the dogs as well. Was amazing
Don’t forget to TIP the mushers! Tanner and Brock went above and beyond on the glacier and made our tour a 10/10 and when we got back from the glacier we were all talking about how much fun we had and forgot to tip (via cash or Venmo). The company was so amazing and sent me our mushers names and Venmo’s the next day. We were a group of 7 and 100% recommend this tour to everyone. It was spectacular!!!
Also! Talk with Chris! He gave us local recommendations and they were great for our group! 👏
Crazy cool and very informative, a must see experience, book this the owners were very accommodating.
We were unable to take this tour because it was accidently booked in the wrong city. Viator was not very helpful about rectifying the situation. But North Stars tours were - go through them to book this same tour!!

As a small, locally owned tour company, many of our departures sell out, and unfortunately third-party booking platforms can sometimes add an extra layer between the guest and the actual operator. They don’t always have the same familiarity with our locations, products, availability, or policies that our team does.
Whenever possible, we recommend booking directly with the tour operator. It allows us to work with you personally from the beginning, make sure you’re booking the correct location and experience, and help resolve questions or changes without having to go through a third party. We’re glad North Star Tours was able to help you, and we hope you have a wonderful time in Alaska.
Very professional staff. The staff were extremely kind and helpful with one of the people in our party who is disabled. It was the premier excursion of our trip. A special shout out to Broccoli (Brock) and Chris for their kindness.
An absolute highlight of our trip to Alaska! The glacier flight up to the camp was breathtaking, offering stunning aerial views of the landscape. Once we landed on the snow, the energy of the dogs was incredible. The mushers were highly knowledgeable, passionate, and took excellent care of the dogs. Getting to drive the sled on real glacier snow in the middle of summer was an unforgettable, bucket-list experience. We also loved cuddling the puppies back at the kennel. If you are visiting Seward, this tour is worth every single penny.
This was well worth doing. First, the helicopter ride out to the glacier and back was exquisite. On a clear day, the views were so beautiful that at one point I had tears in my eyes.
Then the husky experience was amazing. The guides are so passionate about the dogs and the sport, riding with them was awesome and listening to their stories while we waited for the chopper to come back was great too.
Holy crap this was the most amazing experience. No hotel in Seward as far from the airport where the helicopter departs from. The entire experience showed very personable attitudes. Everybody was extremely professional and most importantly safe regarding entry and exiting the helicopter. The pilot was friendly and informative, and the mushers and dog teams up on the glacier were very friendly and fun. Do not miss this opportunity.
Excellent experience with the dog sled. Once in a lifetime opportunity to see the majestic views of the glaciers. It was the highlight of our trip
Do not leave without having done this! The very best part of our entire vacation. Such an incredible experience!
An absolute highlight for us in our trip to Alaska. We were lucky enough to have clear blue skies for the helicopter flight to the glacier and the dog sledding was so much fun The dogs are gorgeous and so happy to be running. The entire experience was just joyful.
This place is absolutely awful. I would avoid this business entirely as part of any vacation planning. Repeat and numerous trips canceled, delayed and rescheduled over and over again to never get the opportunity to go. Save the headache and ruined itinerary and don’t book anything here or be prepared to deal rude unsympathetic staff that could care less about your trip.
This is a little different review than most. Due to the weather we were not able to fly and do the dog sledding. They kept us update and tried rescheduling times but the weather didn’t cooperate. Without hesitation they refunded our money. If we get back to Alaska we will definitely try again.
It was awesome to go out on the glacier and see the dogs and ride in the dog sled. Amazing! This was the highlight of our trip.
It was great the dogs where so cool and the guides and the helicopter pilot was very good . It made my wifes bucket list a great experience. The company was great and they tool use alot about the dogs.
Amazing experience, a must do if you have the means. The whole trip was expertly organized, and despite it being a busy day with lots of tourists, it felt like we were really just there with our family of four.
This is a once in a lifetime experience I was thinking about going to a kennel only but paying more to do it on a glacier is so worth it, the helicopter ride is awesome, the views you get, and dog sledding on a glacier was definitely outstanding
Amazing bucket list adventure! The view was incredible. The puppies were so cute and playful! Watch out they like to chew buckles and strings tho! My musher was so kind and informative. Even let my 8 year old on the back to mush and command the dogs.
Both the helicopter ride and the dog sledding experience on top of the glacier were amazing and so much fun. I was surprised by how much snow was still on the glacier during the summer. The dogs were smart, friendly, and full of energy. The sled ride on the snow was very smooth. When we occasionally went over small bumps, it felt very gentle, almost like driving over a small bump in a car. I noticed that the dogs in the back would even look back to check that everything was okay, which was so cute and impressive.
All of the staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. They clearly knew every dog and each person had specific responsibilities. The dogs seemed excited and happy to run on the snow. Overall, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
Amazing experience all around! Definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. The puppies are so adorable!
This was an amazing experience from the helicopter views to the dog sledding and interaction with the dogs, puppies and our guide. Worth every penny!!!!
If you can afford this breathtaking opportunity, seize it. Everyone on the staff — shuttle driver, desk agent, pilot, musher, and sled dogs — was genuinely friendly, helpful and professional. And the incomprehensible beauty atop the glacier —the senses scarce could take it in.
The highlight of our trip from the helicopter ride up to the entire dog sled experience. The pilots and mushers were all knowledgeable, fun and friendly. An experience we will never forget!
We had an absolutely amazing experience! A beautiful clear blue sky. Scenic helicopter ride and wonderful time with the puppies and dogs. Our musher was friendly and knowledgeable.
An unforgettable experience sailing along a glacier behind a team of energetic dogs. I’ve been fascinated with the Iditarod so this was a dream come true. One of the owners came in second place in the most recent race. My travel partners thank me profusely for suggesting.
We had a great time on the helicopter ride. The pilot was super friendly. Loved the dogsled ride too. It really was a great experience!
The photos do not do the place justice. The experience was out of this world, truly once in a lifetime. 10/10 recommend, worth every penny.
This tour was amazing! The helicopter ride was so beautiful and being up on the glacier was breathtaking! The dog sledding was fun and the puppies were adorable. Highly recommend.
This tour exceeded our expectations. Kris picked us up at our hotel right on schedule and was incredibly friendly and attentive to both us and our 7 year old son who this trip was a surprise for.
Upon arrival at the airport we were efficiently checked in, signed waivers and were provided quality overboots for our shoes for use on the snow.
Within minutes we were boarding our helicopter with Mike our pilot who confidently flew us to location with great commentary of what we were seeing through the experience.
Upon arrival we were paired up with Brock who gathered and secured our team of 11 Alaskan dogs to the sled. As fun as the helicopter ride was, this experience topped it as Brock called out the cues to get our team of dogs their first run in for the day. We had multiple opportunities to pause and spend time with the dogs and take pictures while admiring the majestic beauty around us. Brock even took a few group shots of us which will serve such a fond memory of our time that day. Afterwards we were able to spend time with several baby pups before boarding our helicopter back to base with Mike.
An incredible morning to say the least. Definitely book this tour!
