Departure Point: The Kingsley and her Captain will meet you at Shilshole Bay Marina's "O-Dock." The address to use for GPS is 7001 Seaview Ave NW #100. We strongly suggest using Lyft / Uber / or Taxi services as parking is limited! If you must drive, public parking is on the south side of the main building, or the row closest to the steet on the north side. Your captain will greet you at the gate for "O-Dock", north of the main building. There is a head (bathroom) on the boat, and we will offer you shore restroom before departing. If you are lost or running late please call Captain Russ at (303) 941-6960. For any other questions or concerns, call Captain Dylan at (206) 300-9012. Address: 7001 Seaview Ave NW #100 Seattle, WA 98117 Directions: • From I-5 take exit 172 for 85th St • Turn right onto 32nd Ave NW • 32nd Ave NW will turn into Golden Gardens Dr NW • Turn left onto Seaview Pl NW • Shilshole Bay Marina will be on your right • Park close to the main building in the row closest to the street
Itinerary
This 3-hour sailing trip around Seattle starts at the Shilshole Bay Marina. Meet and greet the captain and get an overview of the S/V Kingsley sailboat and the adventure that awaits.
When departing the marina, look for an impressive display of sailing and motor yachts. The direction of the wind will determine which direction the tour will begin.
As the boat sets sail for Puget Sound, feel free to help the captain and learn how to sail, or just sit back and enjoy the incredible view. Some of the points of interest include the downtown Seattle skyline, highlighted by the iconic Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel, plus the Olympic Mountains with majestic Mount Rainier rising over 14,000 feet in the distance. Along the way, look for marine wildlife like seals, sea lions, porpoises, a variety of fish and on some occasions, a whale sighting.

We had a fabulous afternoon sailing on Puget Sound with Russ!!! It was a glorious day to be out on the water. The scenery was magnificent in every direction. Mt Rainier and Mt Baker book-ended us on two sides, while the snow capped Cascades and Olympics surrounded us on the others. And we could even see the Space Needle. We had terrific conversation the entire time. Our 12 and 15 yr old grandchildren had quite the experience and especially enjoyed the eagles and their nest, the sea lions and the cormorants. We highly recommend Russ and his sailing trip and hope to come back to sail with him again.

Our family of 3 had a wonderful experience. Winds were low that day, so not much "sailing," but Russ still made it a great afternoon! He was full of information and fun conversation. We hung out in the Sound, ventured near the Locks, and watched some seals swimming near the rocks. Sunny and temps in the 80s, so no jacket/sweatshirt needed for us. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful. Highly recommend Russ and his tour.

I booked a sunset cruise with Captain Russ as my fiancés birthday present, and had the best time. Captain Russ was friendly and informative as he answered our questions about the boat and about the Pudget Sound. We were onboard the Kingsley, and found it very comfortable, with a bathroom and plenty of seating. Captain Russ was able to show us a stunning sunset. I really appreciate his friendliness and expertise! 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested in having a nautical adventure in Washington!

Our book club went sailing after finishing "Sailing Alone Around the World". Captain Russ gave us a great cruise and even gave us some pointers about how to manage the sails and walked us through what he was doing. We had a great time and would definitely do it again.
