I had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide Marc is a fun and interesting guy and I appreciated his expertise and fun facts. All the stops were gorgeous but I especially loved that we made it to Lake Crescent right as the sun was going down. It made for absolutely stunning views. I would highly recommend this tour!

This was a full day with nonstop activities! We saw and did so much; our guide, Johnny, made sure we were comfortable, had snacks and drinks, along with music curated to the different attractions along the way! It was a rainy day but spectacular just the same.

Marc was incredibly passionate about his job and knew the great spots to go. I could not recommend this tour enough. So beautiful, pictures do not do it justice, you must see this in person. Thank you Marc and good luck with your business.

    Olympic National Park tour

    Lisa_L, Oct 2025
This is a small-group, full-day tour of the Olympic NP and forest. Our guide, Johnny, picked us up from The Westin hotel in downtown Seattle and we headed to our first destination, the Quinault Rainforest. Being a midwesterner, I have never seen a forest like this—old growth forest trees dripping in moss, giant sword ferns, fungi and nurse trees of all kinds. We made a stop at Quinault Lake, then had a picnic lunch on the beach at the Pacific Ocean at Kalaboch Lodge. Additional stops at Ruby Beach, Koh Rainforest, Lake Crescent, and nighttime ferry ride from Bainbridge Island back to Seattle. It was an over 12 hour day, but lots of time for hiking and taking in the beauty of the northern peninsula. Johnny was an informative and responsive guide, allowing time for rest breaks, encouraged questions, shared snacks and offered to take photos, something I appreciated as a solo traveler. I have seen so many of Seattle’s sights while I’ve been here and this tour was definitely the highlight. A moderate level of fitness is really helpful to be able to comfortably do some of the forest hikes.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

That's wonderful Lisa, thanks for sharing your experience!

First Trip to Olympic National Parks

    James_S, Oct 2025
The trip is worth the time, ran smoothly, we had an awesome guide (Jonny) who was both knowledgeable but very kind and helpful to my husband who has walking challenges.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you very much for the great feedback! Glad it all worked out well!

Awesome tour with the best tour guide!

    JoseMiguel_A, Sep 2025
The Olympic National Park tour with Max Travel Tours was amazing! Marc was the best tour guide, he kept us informed and engaged with all these interesting and fun facts about the different places we went to around Olympic National Park and took all our photos. He also gave us snacks, water and got us sandwiches for lunch. Despite the rainy weather, we still visited all the places on the itinerary and the Hoh Rainforest was definitely the highlight of the tour. Twilight fans will definitely love it as there were a lot of references throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Seattle and would definitely go on another tour with Marc again!

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Great to have you on the tour and so glad you enjoyed the rainforest!

    Best Tour Ever!

    Kateryna_S, Sep 2025
This was the best tour ever! Created by the Seattle local guide Marc, it really captured all the highlights of the Olympic / Peninsula region. It is the only tour that I was able to find that offered these locations. If it wasn't for this tour, I'd have to rent a car to go see all this, but it was much better to have a local guide show these places and give interesting insights into all the locations we stopped at and were passing by. We did a full circle from Seattle through Tacoma , Olympia, Aberdeen, then up North by the Pacific coast, all the way through Forks, Port Angeles, then took the ferry from Bainbridge Island into Seattle. The whole tour was about 13 hours - be prepared for that, long stretches of time in a van, some light hiking. While somewhat tiring, definitely worth it, as we have seen so much on this tour! Just make sure you're well rested before the tour. We had two short hikes through rain forests - Quinault and Hoh forests - they were both totally magical, I haven't seen forests like that anywhere else (and I lived in Bavaria for a while). We stopped briefly at the Quinault Lake which was magical as well and had a bathroom break at the big lodge there, where they had a fun Yeti display. Since it was a holiday and many restaurants were closed, Marc provided us with a nice lunch (sandwiches and salad) and picked the most magical beach location overlooking the ocean and the Destruction island, it was mostly deserted, very peaceful. Also, there were snacks in the van available throughout the tour and enough of water, Marc even prepared a local chocolate bar for each of us which was totally delicious! Then we spent some time at the Ruby beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast. We stopped briefly in Forks, for Twilight fans, that was fun! The next stop was the most beautiful Crescent Lake, we spent some time there, the scale of the lake was difficult to grasp, totally magnificent! Then we headed east along the Northern coastline till we got to the ferry. Going by ferry, we were looking at the lights of Seattle after dark, very beautiful sight as well. Throughout the tour the views from the window were magnificent, the whole region is very beautiful, I wanted to capture everything and tried to not fall asleep at any point. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to see a lot of places in one day and is prepared for a longer trip. Recommend Marc as a guide who knows a lot of interesting facts about the region and really put a lot of thought into crafting this tour. If I ever come back and have much more time, I'd love to spend a full day at each of the locations, I didn't want to leave any of the places, so much beauty and beautiful memories!

    The best tour

    Sunghee_K, Sep 2025
We visited two rainforests(Quinault, Maple Glade) and walked along the trail and had lunch picnic at Kalaloch with a wonderful view! I also loved Ruby Beach filled with many drifted logs and Lake Crescent reminded me of the past when I was in Switzerland. For a long day, Marc took care of everybody with kindness. He prepared water, sparkling water, snacks, lunch sandwiches, and battery charges in a van. He was also a good photographer for me who was a solo traveler. When we walked along the trails, he gave information about where we stopped by. I want to say a big thank you to him! Thanks to him, I could cross off my bucket list. I really wanted to go to the rainforest before I went to Seattle from Korea for my vacation. I was really happy that I walked along the forest trail because I didn’t want to see just the lakeside drive. The tour of yesterday will be remembered forever in my life. I hope many visitors who are in Seattle will join this tour.

Thanks for the kind review. Glad you have this wonderful memory for a long time! This tour is made for people like you to enjoy!

    A lot in one day!

    Anna_K, Sep 2025
Marc was a fantastic guide and was so prepared we almost wanted to call him "Mom". From lunch, snacks, phone chargers for many, he thought of everything. We covered a lot of ground in one day! Be prepared for lots of driving, but the views/hikes are worth it!

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

    Thanks Anna!

This trip was absolutely sooooooooooo good!!!

    Wayne_W, Aug 2025
I chose this tour because when browsing Olympic National Park🏞️ tours on Viator, I noticed that most of them focused on Hurricane Ridge and other classic stops. But what I really wanted to see was the rainforest — to me, that’s the essence of Olympic! Marc’s tour was the only one that included both Quinault Rain Forest and Hoh Rain Forest, so I signed up — and the experience turned out to be beyond incredible! First of all, I have to give huge credit to Marc. He is part botanist, part super-guide, part big brother (see photo 1). During the rainforest hike he pointed out fascinating plants, shared stories about Twilight filming spots, helped us take photos, and made the whole day feel like a mix of adventure, learning, and fun. From rainforests to lakes to the coastline — and even a night ferry ride with city views — Marc made sure we saw the very best of Olympic. Secondly, the trip was both rich and flexible. Because it was a small, private-style group, we had the freedom to adjust plans. For example, after exploring Quinault Rain Forest, we felt we didn’t need to wait in long lines for Hoh Rain Forest. Marc immediately suggested a hidden gem instead — a crystal-clear spring that looked like something out of a fairytale (see photo 2). Alongside famous spots like Lake Crescent and Ruby Beach, he also took us to a few off-the-beaten-path locations that were just as magical (no spoilers here — see photos!). Lastly, I want to thank my fellow travelers. A great trip depends not only on the guide but also the group, and I was lucky to share this experience with three amazing ladies. With their warmth, energy, and humor, the four of us made this small-group journey unforgettable. In short: if you find yourself in Seattle with an extra day, don’t miss Marc’s Olympic National Park tour. And if you have more time, I’d absolutely recommend joining his other tours, like Mount Rainier. This was one of the most memorable travel days I’ve ever had — thank you, Marc!

Mark was such an amazing tour guide, I don’t think we missed a beat when it came to exploring the beauty of Olympic National Park. He did a wonderful job explaining the rainforest and ecosystems, showed us some of the most beautiful coastal beaches! And then we ended the day perfectly at Lake Crescent. It’s a lengthy tour but you WILL SEE EVERYTHING!

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Wonderful to hear that you liked it Rashma! We see a lot of stuff in one big day!

    Beautiful day in Olympic Park

    adriana, Aug 2025
Marc was amazing, he is so knowledgeable about the forest and everything Seattle. This is the only tour that goes to the beaches at Olympic park, I’ve done other tours here but they only go to the super crowded tourist areas. This tour is different, we didn’t feel crowded or rushed.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thanks Adriana! You're exactly right, we designed the tour to avoid the big crowds and enjoy the nature!

    This tour was amazing!

Definitely the best tours we had in Seattle! There are three short trails that let you really soak in the beauty of the temperate rainforest and see its ecosystem up close. The walks are fun, easy, and great for all ages. Our guide Marc was super knowledgeable, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about what he does. Highly recommend if you’re looking to explore the rainforest in a fun and meaningful way!

He even provided delicious snacks and walked alongside us the entire time, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more special. Thank you, Marc!

Olympic national park day trip from Seattle

    Sharyn_D, Jun 2025
Marc was an amazing tour guide! I booked this tour specifically because I only had one day to see Olympic, needed to be picked up in Seattle and really wanted to see the rainforest. It was a long day but the time went by quickly. Marc shared some great information during the drive, kept on schedule, checked on everyone’s comfort level and had the best snacks! We saw so much more than I could have ever imagined. I’m so glad I came across this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you Marc for a fantastic day!!!!

    Hoh Rainforest Day Trip 10/10

    Ariel_K, Jun 2025
This was my first time doing a guided group tour and I’m so glad I picked this one! I was visiting Seattle for work and decided to extend my trip. I really wanted to get into Olympic NP and the Hoh Rainforest but didn’t want to go through renting a car and navigating myself. I was picked up and able to sit back and relax the entire trip. The stops were well planned and the hikes were easy and beautiful. Marc was knowledgeable, flexible, and friendly. The only tour from Seattle to the Hon and I would 10/10 recommend.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you Ariel! Glad you enjoyed the tour!
