DRESS CODE: At the Vatican and in general in all the Roman churches and Synagogues dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e.g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted in the Vatican Museums.

Different Tour

We received a different tour than booked. Our guide was amazing but we did not get a private or kid fun tour. Our children, ages 7 and 9, still enjoyed it but were disappointed that there was no treasure hunt. The company eventually realized their mistake and credited some money back. Can't go back in time but wish we had the tour we booked.
