Red Vespa in Roma dream realized!

My wife and I had an amazing experience renting a red Vespa and driving it all around Rome for two days! Adolfo was fantastic from the beginning—he helped make sure I had enough prior experience to drive the Vespa safely (and I will say that driving a Vespa in Italy requires an adjustment from driving in the USA and the driver should have experience with a Vespa, scooter, or motorcycle), he made sure we had the Waze app and that we had all the extra packs added to our scooter navigation, he showed us where to go and where to not go, and he also gave us recommendations for beautiful places to visit that were nearby the Colosseum but a little off the beaten path. My wife and I spent two days driving around Rome, and we went all over including on the freeways to go out to an LDS temple and a mall out in the suburbs, and it was perfect. It was so easy to find parking for the Vespa near the Borghese gardens, the Vatican City, and everywhere else we went, and Adolfo made sure we knew what areas of the city to avoid due to heavy construction, etc. My wife and I are definitely planning to rent a motorino again when we come back to Rome!

Adolpho was amazing. Very informative, helpful and goes above and beyond. He was kind enough to take the Vespa out of the direct traffic and let me get use to the throttle in a less hectic area. He also was very flexible with the time slot he gave us. We rented it for 24 hours and I would recommend this. It gives you time to ride at different times of the day. He even texted me to see if I was doing OK. I do know that I might have worried him in the beginning, but he was confident in me. That always helps.

Great option for Vespa rental

We had a good experience with this company. He communicated well leading up to the rental, I would only mention it was a little difficult understanding all the Italy driving rules he went over, we had to ask for a lot of clarity to understand before taking off. Would recommend he send his driving rules and tips ahead of time, he did have English copies for us to read; it was just a lot to take in before we felt comfortable taking off on our journey! My husband is a great driver and had experience with motorcycles; this is definitely not something to do if you don't know how to drive one- the cobblestones and Italy driving laws are a lot of extra knowledge to add into the experience! (Not recommended in the rain- we had rain and the cobblestones were a lot to handle!) Overall, I would recommend Adolfo to friends if they were going. His location was perfect, right by the colosseum!

Hi Nicole, thanks for the review! cobblestone roads are INDEED harder to drive on, expecially on rainy days, and is also true that Vespas are NOT bycicles, and are NOT as easy to drive around as Bycicles are. We highly recommend this place. After a warm Italian welcome and the necessary documents you get a full explanation on what and what not to do. Rome is not like any other city and you’re more at ease if you know where to go and where to stay away to avoid trouble with the police. Not every place is accessible by scooter and Rodolfo explained us well. Part of the generous service. 125cc Vespa’s drive really good, quick response to get away especially when you drive with a passenger. For me it was a bucket list thing to do and hey,.. what better way to visit Rome then the old fashioned way by Vespa…. An address to keep.

We had such an incredible time. We were able to go pretty much anywhere we wanted in a 10 mile radius of the city, and we did. Adolfo was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the city. We enjoyed talking with him and learning about his history. The Vespa was very well maintained and ran perfectly. Zero complaints, it was the highlight of our trip!

These are the most honest people you will ever get a chance to meet in rental industry. Adolfo was excellent to rent from! We had an amazing time seeing the city on a beautiful and well-maintained Vespa. Helmets were clean and in great condition. A cell phone holder was provided as well. Please note that Adolfo will make you test drive the Vespa. He takes your safety very seriously! There is a slight language barrier, but everyone was able to manage with patience. This Vespa could be the highlight of your trip!
