The basilica was...

Kimberly_K, Sep 2026

The basilica was beautiful; however, the tour company that we went through with Viator did not give us water nor did we get an audio guide. Instead, we had a live person who was eventually asked to leave the basilica due to him being an unlicensed guide. Fortunately the plaques were written in English as well as Italian. On a positive note, our guide was very helpful for skip the line entrance into basilica itself.

Voucher sent to mobile, to just walk in. No meeting place

Sheila_P, Jul 2026

Once we figured it out : to just use voucher sent to mobile and walk up to entrance . No meeting place . We were looking for a guide or meeting place. Started off confusing. But once we just walked in with voucher, all good.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad everything went smoothly once you reached the entrance and that you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate you pointing out the initial confusion regarding the meeting point. We'll use your comments to make our instructions even clearer so future guests know they can head directly to the entrance with their mobile voucher. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you again!

Worth it

Lori_A, Jan 2026

This was absolutely worth the money. The line was so long, literally hundreds of people, and walked right up, with about 15 people in line ahead of us. The information on the audio tour was very interesting.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're truly glad to hear you found the experience worthwhile and enjoyed the ease of access and the audio tour. We hope to welcome you again!

Definitely a good idea to skip the long lines. As to the Rick Steves audio guide ..... Really didn't need it.
